Bong Sen Hotel Saigon

Nguyen Hue Walking Street Ho Chi Minh City|0.17km from Xu Restaurant Lounge
It is difficult to imagine this hotel was once three star quality. Frankly, it’s hard to believe this hotel could legitimately earn one star. The promotional photographs provided on various booking websites and the property’s website are simply not accurate. According to the hotel, they are for “illustration purposes” and are not actual hotel rooms in this hotel. I paid for an upgraded superior deluxe room and the pictures speak for themselves. My room was neither superior, nor deluxe. Dingy, old, rundown, Blank walls, thin, worn mattress, moldy bathroom fixtures, worn out carpet, non-functional light switches, and I could go on. From a practical standpoint, there are no power outlets near the bed - I had to charge my phone in the bathroom where one of the two power outlets was broken. This hotel’s best days are behind it. Many rooms here have no windows, which is why I upgraded to a Superior Deluxe, which has a window but only in the technical sense. Mine has a window that looks out into darkness. See the picture below taken at mid-day. No light whatsoever. Just a physical window. The room obviously used to be a smoking room. Smoking is no longer permitted but my room as well as the corridor do have the odor of stale cigarette smoke. The cigarette burns on the furniture remain evident. My advice is to choose a bite that has a well-established reputation. There are many with comparable prices. I hope my review can save at least one traveler from the great disappointment that would otherwise await them at Bong Sen.

Aquari Hotel

Aquari.. After breaking my month long stay into 6 hotels to review each. Aquari is very good, with the exception bof a few items. This hotel actually looks like the pictures. Not smaller than pics not taken at angles to make rooms look larger …what u see is what you get. Stayed in superior room with no view. The no view rooms have an adjacent hotel next to the window The window is there but gets no sunlight, as they try to make u pay more $ for a real window room, but other than that, everything elsenin this hotel is 1st class. From housekeeping, check in, front desk, and parking garage for scooters. complementary all top notch! The room safe was this fingerprint newfangled thing that can easily be opened by security with the master fingerprint or a simple screw driver , but what more important is that the safe wasn’t locked down to the closet. So if I really want your valuables, I’ll just pick upntr safe and walk away?? This made no sense not to have the room safe bolted or at least screwed into the closet. The gym was almost fully functional although the treadmill did not incline. w cardio, free weights and a Universal gym but not in the exercise room in thr pic. They converted an bedroom into the gym placing cario in one room and the weights in the other The one exception is their dinning room staff at breakfast. Their rule is to let items run out on the bar u til someone ask for it including ice , water , and food items. Staff was not particularly pleasant or warm or cheerful. Breakfast and food selection was as advertised and at least as good as of the several other hotels I stayed in HCMC. Overall, this hotel facilities are good, reception staff and housekeeping are good, just a few minor improvements away from being one of the best in HCMC. But for now 3 star.

I love the fact that the hotel location is in the center right next to the Opera House and walking distance to everything; nice restaurants, tourist attractions and shopping malls. The room is super clean and the view is very nice. However, the hotel should improve on their breakfast room and how they manage the guests during breakfast. You are 5 stars hotel and the breakfast place is crowded like your road. The table is so right next to each other with the strangers until we feel like we eat in the same table with the relatives that we hate. The person who asked forbour room number at the reception could have asked us right away when they show us the table of what would we like to drink. Not just like seating us down and disappear. And we have to look for someone to order our coffee. Should you manage/improve this part accordingly, your hotel would be beyond perfect.

Stayed for 3 nights. Location wise, it's pretty good as it's just a couple minutes walk from some of the bigger malls. Convenience store opposite the road and some nice restaurants just outside. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated but some visible wear and tear (e.g. floor boards). The bathtub in the room felt a little brittle creaking as you step on it. Because it isn't sealed to the wall, the floor gets pretty wet after a shower. The jacuzzi pool didn't look the cleanest and the chemicals in the water caused me to tear quite badly. Breakfast has a decent spread and staff overall pretty friendly! Will consider staying again!

Great place to stay in HCM! After 2 failed bookings we ended up in Icon Saigon as a back up plan and we ended up staying there for nearly a week. The value you get for the price is the best deal! The hotel is modern, the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is very complete and in a very pleasant room with good views of the city. The rooftop bar is the perfect place to end the day with many available drinks at a fair price. The staff was very nice and available to help us anytime. We also had plenty of space to work outside the room and the location is perfect, with many restaurants nearby and right by the opera house so we couldn’t ask for anything else.

Renseignements efficaces. Proximité immédiate de restaurants, commerces, monuments, à pied.

I arrived at dawn on a backpacking trip and stayed in a 4-person dormitory room to sleep for a while until the morning. The accommodation itself was very nice and I was very satisfied. Compared to bunk bed dormitories, the bed was hotel-style, so it was comfortable, and the curtains were good, so personal privacy wasn't bad. A bit like a Japanese capsule hotel? However, there was a feeling that the storage space was a bit lacking around the bed except for the large locker. Also, the thing that came to be lacking the most was that hot water did not come out. I thought it wouldn't come out because it was dawn, so I washed it and waited for the next day, but it didn't come out the next day either, so I took a cold shower. However, it was not completely cold water because it was Southeast Asia, but it was cold enough to take a shower. Anyway, it is positively evaluated for being able to check in early in the morning.
