Nice to find a hotel that offers family room for 4 in a single room - I guess in China it’s still rare for there to be more than 1 child in a family!
The room was a good size with a very comfortable super king bed that fits 3 persons and an additional single bed.
Bathroom was big with bath and separate rain shower.
Bar was closed (for good??). Annoying as we had family who came to visit and wanted to have a drink together that isn’t just wine. At least offer some beer in your restaurant if the bar is closed.
Breakfast was vast, lots of choice. But for the price I would expect better包子 and 油条. Felt like they came from a packet, not freshly made. I can get so much better on a street cart for less than £1, so very disappointing that a five star hotel cannot make decent Chinese staples. I would say the 豆腐脑, and 葱花饼 was lovely, and I stuck with this for the duration of the stay.

I have generally only good things to say about my experience. The incredible upgrade from 2 rooms to an apartment was great. Breakfast buffet was included in my rate of choice, and it has one of the most amazing breakfast spreads I have seen. Location was already central and walkable mostly in mall to 2 adjacent MRT stations accessing 3 key MRT lines.
I can only share one photo of 1 of the bedrooms, as the other room and my living room had my family inside. They even have fruit basket for me.
My main minor gripe was that I wish they could also have provided disposable face masks that we then had to find ourselves. Face masks could help with the cold of winter that we underestimated.
But all in all, it was really a great experience at Hyatt. Full marks !

The hotel’s location is unbeatable—situated in the heart of Beijing, it offers easy access to key attractions, shopping areas, and public transportation. The proximity to iconic landmarks like the Forbidden City and Wangfujing Street made exploring the city incredibly convenient.
Although the hotel is abit old, the room was spacious, elegantly designed, and impeccably clean. The luxurious bedding to the thoughtful amenities, made it feel like a true retreat. The view from my room was also stunning, offering a glimpse of Beijing’s skyline that added to the ambiance.
Ambience at the hotel lobby was awesome. With a grand piano, high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows facing the garden.
What truly stood out was the exceptional service from the staff. Every interaction was met with genuine warmth and a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure my comfort. From the concierge’s expert recommendations to the housekeeping staff’s meticulous attention, I felt well cared for throughout my stay.
The Regent Beijing exceeded my expectations in every way, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. I look forward to returning in the future!

I had an incredible experience at Sofitel Beijing. The rooms are spacious and clean, and I especially loved the spa-like bathtub. My children enjoyed soaking in it after a long day of exploring the streets of Beijing. The hotel is located in a great area with plenty of delicious food options nearby, and the train station is just a short walk away. Jackie at the front desk was extremely helpful and made our stay enjoyable. Thank you, Sofitel Beijing, for making our vacation so memorable!

I have stayed in other rosewood in other countries. This one so far has the best value!
Location is very convenient, next to China world shopping mall (huge mall with tons of food and shopping), next to subway stations, and easy to get car rides.
Room is very spacious and clean. The view of Beijing skyline is great!
There are 2 housekeeping per day and they have a night time service that close the blinds and setup bed and shower.
Amenities are great, breakfast has lots of variety and fresh, but I see a lot of waste from others since it’s buffet style… swimming pool and spa is very nice and clean.
One and only downside is it’s very close to the 3rd ring and cars hunk a lot. Can be a little bit noisy during rush hours, I can hear it even on the 18th floor, but I got use to it quickly so I don’t mind as much.
So many more positive things to say, I’ll definitely make rosewood Beijing my default hotel every time I visit:)

My flight was cancelled and I was forced to stay over in Beijing for the night.
Hotel staff went for rhe extra mile and upgraded me to a bigger room and provided me with essential oils when I feedbacked about the adour in my previous room. The room was clean and spacious, facing Jingshan park view, its too bad I couldnt stay longer for the amazing view. The hotel staff was so attentive, very patient and very eager to help, she made me feel like a queen 😁
Spa garden was therapeutic and calming, I wish I could spend more time there.
Lounge was a sexy area, I suggest to go at night time. Cocktail there was average.
Gym was small, not comprehensive for an active person like me.
I tried both their frenchcuisine Rive Gauche and the chinese cuisine Fu Chun ju. Services and staff were impeccable and polite. But if I can only choose one, its the chinese cuisine, their roasted pigeon was AMAZING!
I visited Jingshan Park whic only 5 mins aw.

Yanqing was the last stop on a bicycle tour I was on that started at Chongli. I’d taken my 75 year old dad who was visiting China (my home of 12 years) and this hotel really hit the spot as a place to relax at the end of a journey. From the very start, the staff at the front of house and reception were very helpful in understanding our needs to store our bikes somewhere dry and made every effort to make our checking in process fast and efficient. They were very polite.
The buffet dinner was great, and my dad (the fussiest eater alive) managed to find many things he wanted to eat. Selina Xie, who was at the entrance to the restaurant, was smiling, polite, helpful and let me look around before we decided to eat there.
The hot springs were everything we could hope for them to be, and there, also, the staff were helpful and accommodating.

We spent nine days at Mandarin. The friendly smiles and thoughtful service of every waiter left us with so many wonderful memories. Every little need was taken care of. This is the charm of Mandarin. Special thanks to Manager Nana for her meticulous care for us. We had a little surprise every day when we returned to the room. The feeling of being pampered was really touching. Cassie, who was in charge of guest relations, took the trouble to help us deal with a lot of personal affairs during our stay. Her attitude was very friendly and helped us a lot. Aimyon at the front desk and William at the concierge had a friendly smile and enthusiastic service, which made us feel at home. Jack in the breakfast room was very enthusiastic. After learning that my husband went to the hospital for eye treatment, he sent him specially cooked carrots every day. It was so heartwarming. Seeing him every day would happily start a new day. Gemini, who helped us carry luggage several times, worked seriously and had a kind and gentle attitude. In addition to these colleagues whose names can be called out, every other service staff would greet us kindly when teaching us. Mandarin is really far ahead! Thank you for the wonderful memories you brought us!

GGuest UserOur stay was wonderful. We went during the week and the overall experience was perfect. The location is quiet and tucked under a small hill with direct view to the great wall which is amazing. The room is super spacious and minimally decorated while totally functional, plus it features a scented steamer to give it a spa feel. The hot spring in the room is golden (best after a day of hiking and walking).
The hotel décor isn’t brand new, so there may be some small marks on the wall, for example, behind the mirror or by one door (speaking more about hosts who don’t take care of the facilitates than the hotel management itself). That said, everything is quite clean, and tidy, comfortable and warm. There may be one or two chilled bugs (tree bug or a small bee) visiting your room…it is the mountains after all. But they are harmless and if you cannot or prefer not to deal with them, the reception is happy to help you.
The service is excellent, plus they were so kind to gift us a warm white mushroom soup (sweet warm delicious drink/dessert-y local delicacy) to warm us up the first night. And the next day when I asked what it was, they were kind enough to offer another cup 😊
Their coffees are excellent! They have a small bar offering simple cocktails and a fridge selling other soft or alcoholic drinks like soda, juice, beer and wine (simple). The hotel set meals are honest and simple, not home-style or farm to table but rather “continental”. However, they are super flexible and accommodating with options and somewhat late orders which is very appreciated on trips when you are not 100% sure you will make it in time for dinner, etc.
They did have a local driver and offered a one-free trip from or back to the train station or another place around the area. He’s quite nice. However, if you are on a tight budget, better check with other drivers for your paid trips and compare with the hotel one to make sure you get the best value for $.
Recommend 100% yes! Foreign and Chinese customers we all seemed quite happy.
Do they speak English? I am not sure sorry. But Trip.com staff are very helpful in cross-communication and the ladies are young so they might!

GGuest UserI came to Beijing to ski and wanted to find a hot spring hotel to relax my tired muscles. I immediately booked this hotel when I saw that it had an open-air hot spring and a private hot spring! As soon as I drove to the outskirts, I felt the atmosphere of Beijing's ancient buildings, courtyards, bamboo forests, and Ming and Qing architectural styles. I checked in quickly, and there was hot water made by myself, which immediately relieved my fatigue... On the way to the room, I saw a lot of couplets and New Year decorations. The room was very clean, and the floor heating and air conditioning were at a suitable temperature. It felt very comfortable! The takeaway was delivered in a timely manner, and every service staff was very friendly. All the requests were well solved. It was a very good experience to stay for three days. This hotel with scenery, friendly temperature, and soothing hot springs is highly recommended! ! !
FfantasylandGreat location, the hotel is within Gubei Water Town. It is a short walk to Simatai great wall cable car and to the main area of the water town. Room was clean and comfortable except that it didn’t have air condition. Called the front desk and was told we’ll have to open the windows. We went in October so it was chill at night.
Breakfast spread was amazing, there was so much options. It’s slightly pricey, but you pay for what you get.

VValerie GailThis hotel is pretty good. I wanted to find a hotel that had a warm kids pool so I could take my daughter to swim. The kids pool is pretty big and the temperature is perfect. As you can only enter the hot spring area once, I was able to let my daughter nap on my lap while my husband and I had some fruit and drinks at the seated area without having to leave the hot springs.
The room is spacious and mostly clean. However, I wouldn't say this hotel is 5 stars. The decoration is outdated and needs to undergo refurbishment. The bath was dirty and had lots of things floating in it when we filled it up with water, so we had to empty and refill before washing in it. Then, when drying my daughter's hair with the hairdryer in the bathroom, the hallway light keep flickering and the hairdryer was cutting off. It seems there was some electrical problem with the socket. It started to make a spark noise and smelt like burning, so we had to quickly unplug the hairdryer for fear of it going on fire.
The location is in the middle of nowhere, so it's not convenient if you want to buy food or snacks. i personally didn't like the hotel breakfast. It doesn't compare to other international brand hotel standards.
Overall, it would a pleasant stay, but only because it was suitable for my daughter to swim..

GGuest UserExceeded expectations👍👍👍👍👍
We booked a parent-child suite, and I feel that the details are particularly well done:
1. The room is spacious, with children's entertainment facilities, two balconies, and lake views.
2. The bathroom is large and small, and there are two wash basins in the large one, separated by dry and wet areas. Even if three people wash at the same time, they will not interfere with each other. It is equipped with a special wash bag for children, which is very considerate. There are also rose petals in the toilet~
3. There is a separate private hot spring pool, you can soak alone, or you can go to the hot spring water world on the first floor of the hotel to soak and play. There are various hot springs in the water world, and children and adults have a lot of fun.
4. In the evening, the service staff sent a portion of fruit and dried fruit, which was very warm and considerate.
5. The buffet breakfast the next morning was quite rich in variety and tasted good. There was a plant environment in the dining area and the environment was good.
6. Candies were given when checking out, which was great😄
5. Two candies were given when leaving the hotel, which was great🥰
In addition, there is a large lake in front of the hotel, with black swans, ducks and so on. It feels great to walk along the lakeshore in the morning~ I also saw two fat cats, haha! Overall five-star praise🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

GGuest UserTransportation: Take the Changping Line all the way to Changping Dongguan. You can get there by taking a fast car, which is very convenient.
Facilities: Although it is an old hot spring hotel, the rooms have been renovated and renovated very new. The family room is equipped with a private hot spring pool, and there are small snack packages and milk for free, so you can have a milk bath directly.
Dining: Be sure to have breakfast quickly. The breakfast is very rich. There are Chinese and Western food. I especially want to praise the pancakes for being so delicious.
There are more than ten outdoor pools, and one or two small caves, which are very interesting. 35 to 44 degrees are available.
There are many indoor pools of various sizes, and the most interesting one is a medicine pool, which looks like a colorful cave.
After soaking enough, I lay down on the stone bed by the way, which is really comfortable.
The group purchase package purchased, staying in the hot spring room to soak in the hot spring, is not too convenient. Change into a swimsuit in the room and go straight to the indoor hot spring.
The children had a lot of fun, and it was a great experience.

GGuest UserA family of six traveled to Beijing and booked two deluxe twin rooms in advance. The hotel is in a good location, 5 minutes away from the subway station, and you can get to any tourist attraction. The room and bathroom are very large, very comfortable for three people, and cost-effective. Although the decoration facilities are relatively old, they are clean and tidy, and there are no problems in using them. The front desk staff and room attendants pay attention to etiquette and politeness, and the hospitality is warm and thoughtful, making the guests feel very warm. We stayed for five days and left a deep impression. The management of the old four-star hotel is still very standardized. When leaving, my daughter-in-law left her earrings in the room. The front desk contacted us immediately and sent them by express. Thank you!

BBronwynSThe hotel is lovely, big and feels luxurious. The room was good, but beds are small. It seems strange that a hotel like this would have double beds. Ideally hotel beds should be King. The pool area was lovely, but the fact that hotel guests have to pay for access to the hot springs is not good. It should be included with all room bookings. Our main negative point about this hotel was the service. It’s was shocking. When ordering a drink and meal in the bar/lounge area, it took over an hour to get anything we ordered and then multiple orders were incorrect. Nobody working there seemed to know what they were doing. Another concern we noted was that when we phoned the reception from our room, there was nobody at reception who could speak English. We made a booking for 4 people, but the room was only set up for two, so when we asked for more towels, pillows and water bottles. They were delivered to our room but just dumped in a pile near the door. This didn’t seem quite right and not what we expected from a hotel of this caliber.
