This ryokan is truly a gem. It offers complimentary car parking, and thereās also a public bathroom available. The staff are very nice and sweet, making the stay feel warm and welcoming. I highly recommend trying their breakfast and dinnerāthe meals are delicious and thoughtfully prepared.
In the evening, guests can even enjoy complimentary ice cream, which is a lovely touch. Netflix is available for entertainment, and the facilities are very well maintained, giving excellent value for money. Overall, itās a wonderful place to stay, and I will definitely go back again.

It was love from the first sight. Lovely and silent place that what you need after all the hustle and bustle of big cities. Hot springs are relaxing and food is delicious. Wish had more days there.
Big thanks to all the staff who created such atmosphere

The room is very spacious as it is like an apartment. The hotel is older but we can imagine it to be a luxury hotel back in its heyday. Location is no issue as we drove, and it was convenient to all the main attractions around the area eg. Mount omuro, jogasaki. The kids booked a slot in the kids playroom which is suitable for younger children. There was also a kids game which they can exchange for a prize upon completion, similar to Easter egg hunt, which made them excited and this helped us become familiar with the common areas and facilities.

āThis trip to Izu Kogen was made particularly memorable because of this B&B. As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner's warm welcome made me feel like spring breeze. The owner was very considerate. Not only did he introduce us to the surrounding attractions in detail, but he also gave us a lot of practical travel suggestions.
The environment of the B&B is even better. The room is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm and Japanese, making people feel as comfortable as at home. The public area is also very comfortable, and the hot spring āØļø is also very suitable for families.
It must be mentioned that this B&B is very close to the Jogasaki Coast, and it is very convenient to travel. You can just walk there, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful.
When we went back, it rained heavily and the tram stopped running. The owner took the initiative to contact us to help us find a way, and finally sent us to our destination. Thank you very muchš„¹
In short, this stay experience was great. I will definitely recommend this B&B to my friends around me, and next time I come to Izu Kogen, it will still be my first choice.āš

Guest UserThe hotel is very close to Izu Kogen, just a short walk away. The owners are a couple of artists from Shanghai, who are very welcoming. I had a bit of an upset stomach that day and didn't feel like eating anything around me, so I went back to the hotel and asked the owner if she could cook us a bowl of noodles with pickled vegetables and shredded pork. She readily agreed, and the noodles tasted like they were from a five-star hotel! š Our trip to Izu Kogen went smoothly, and we arrived at our accommodation early. The owner recommended some lesser-known spots to us, definitely not Kinosaki Coast, perfect.

I originally planned to leave a 5-star review because the hotel itself has a very nice, cozy atmosphere. However, I ended up extremely disappointed due to something being stolen during housekeeping service.
I travel frequently and stay in hotels often, so Iām usually very careful. This time, I didnāt bring many valuables with me, so I didnāt lock my suitcase when I went out. I had bought a few items from a drugstore and left them in the room. When I came back, one of the three packages was missing. I assume they didnāt take everything to avoid suspicion.
Iām usually very cautious about housekeeping and potential loss of belongings, which is why I selected the ādo not disturb / no cleaningā option. However, this hotel requires daily cleaning of the in-room hot spring bath. Since I booked a top-floor room with a private onsen, the front desk informed me that staff would still enter the room to clean it.
I never expected that even opened, low-value cosmetics would be taken. The missing items were worth over $60. While itās not a huge amount, it still feels very upsetting.
The hotel itself is fine, but please be very careful with your belongings if you stay here. If you leave the room, make sure to take your valuables with you. The safe in the room is extremely small and cannot hold much.
Overall, this experience was very disappointing.

The family booked a triple room, the boss adjusted it to 205, twin beds plus tatami, the room boss, living in 5-6 people is no problem. There is a kitchen. Free drinks in the lobby on the first floor, and it is very pleasant to sit and play games at night. From Izu Plateau Station to the hotel, you can make an appointment to pick up or take a taxi. The local road is narrow and it is all uphill and downhill. It is too inconvenient to drag your luggage. Quiet surroundings, you can see the sea from a distance

The seafood sashimi was a little small, but the meal was satisfactory.
The stairs from the parking lot to the front room were tight for me with bad knees.

Highly Recommended!!
Key Point: The hotel includes a one-day admission ticket, allowing access to three attractions within one day:
(Cactus Zoo, Izu Granpal Park, and the New York Lighting Museum Garden). We recommend checking in after visiting Mt. Omuro, enjoying a one-night stay with two meals at the onsen (hot spring), and then visiting the above attractions the next day! Perfect for families and couples!
We recommend driving or walking to the hotel from Mt. Omuro/the zoo.
Environment and Location: The hotel is located next to Mt. Omuro, about a 10-minute walk from the Mt. Omuro Ropeway; it also has a private entrance to the Cactus Zoo (accessible via a gate next to the hotel). The hotel features a terrace and platform with stunning surrounding views, perfect for taking photos, overlooking the sunrise, night views, and Mt. Omuro.
Rooms and Facilities: Spacious rooms with a semi-Western, semi-Japanese design.
Meals: The hotel offers a Japanese set breakfast and a kaiseki dinner.

I stayed at Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace for 5 nights booking though Trip.com. Be warned that problems may occur when booking through travel websites such as this one. I booked a standard room with no meals. What I did not know however, was that this reservation did not include any room cleaning services for the entire stay, no taking of garbage or towel replacement, no bed making, nothing at all. When I contacted the travel website to show my disappointment, they immediately contacted the hotel requesting a full refund. I did not expect a full refund for my entire stay. What I did expect, was for someone to acknowledge the fact that this important piece of information should have been indicated someone on the online reservation confirmation. Neither the travel site nor the hotel would acknowledge this.
The travel site replied with a response from the hotel, saying that I was a regular guest and knew about this āregulationā. Itās true, I have visited Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace on several occasions when housekeeping services were not included. However, this was clearly indicated on the reservation, and I stayed during the COVID STATE OF EMERGENCY, when it was standard practice for many hotels to exclude cleaning services. My recent stay was at the beginning of August, WHEN THE STATE OF EMERGENCY AND COVID RESTRICTIONS HAD BEEN LIFTED. It is no longer standard practice to exclude cleaning services at hotels in Japan.
The hotel stated that I visited the front desk every day to get towels and never mentioned the need to clean the room. This is untrue. I only came to the front dest 2 times during my stay, and this is because room cleaning staff entered my room on 2 occasions, so I was expecting them to clean or take out the trash, but they did nothing and left. I expected them to return, however, they never did. The bottom line is the hotel is responsible for communicating their services to customers, especially after covid restrictions have been lifted. Blaming guests for their lack of communication is completely unprofessional.
Now in regards to the hotel itself, I have stayed here on several occasions, I find it to be perfect, mainly because of the location and modest room size. The hotel is conveniently located near Lake Ippeki (Ippekiko) and there is plenty of nature and a few trails in the area. You can step out the door and be on a simple hiking trail within minutes. Itās a very quiet area and very good for children and families. Though the hotel is dated, the rooms are all quite large and include a living room, kitchen with cooking supplies and dishes (but no forks or spoons), a large bath, and both Western and Japanese style bedrooms. Some may be discouraged by the age of the hotel (itās quite old and could use some renovation), but if you donāt mind that, then I would highly recommend staying here. One point that I need to mention is in regards to the bedrooms. The hotel has replaced their blackout curtains with super thin curtains which allow sunlight to easily shine through. We were woken up at 5:00 am every morning because of the bright sunlight in our room. If youāre a light sleeper, please take note. I wish management would consider this. Also, itās highly recommended that guests come by car, public transportation is very inconvenient in the area.
Overall, Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace is a very convenient place for a reasonable price. I will definitely be staying here again in the future, but hope that they act with a little more professionalism and consider the fact that the covid state of emergency ended long ago.
