4-Star Hotels in Ito

Staff were wonderful. They held my luggage as I was very early for check-in and communicated via a handheld translator. The room was very nice and spacious with an absolutely gorgeous view to the city and surrounding areas. The private hot spring tubby on the deck was also wonderful as you do get the scene to the city and providing a wonderful ambiance. The food provided was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Now the caveat is the hotel is on a hill and unless you have transportation like a rental car or taxi, getting up there is a hike and more so with luggage. The staff also provided me with a shuttle to Itō station and some snacks to my next location. Oh and the wonderful picture they took and framed for me was also so thoughtful

This was my mother and daughters' first international trip together, and thanks to this place, we had such a happy and enjoyable time! 🥰 Everyone was incredibly friendly, and both the outdoor private onsen and indoor hot spring bath in our room were clean and beautiful! 👍 My mom had been wanting to go to a hot spring for years, and she was absolutely thrilled and very satisfied. 💜 Dinner and breakfast were also fantastic; you could really feel the effort put into each dish, and we got to try new ingredients, so it was all delicious! 😍 If you're driving from Shizuoka by rental car, I highly recommend taking the toll road! We took the free road and ended up learning to drive in Japan 'Spartan-style' on our first day, thanks to the massive forest roads and fog. Haha. We received the best hospitality during our stay, which helped my mother and daughters make truly wonderful memories. 🧡 Thank you so much. We'll definitely come back with the whole family next time! Amazing ryokan! Located conveniently close to the railway station it blends into local woods with its many small villas and paths. The room was nice and had our own balcony looking out to the woods. There was no lack of amenities, futons were comfortable, AC worked just fine, and the wi-fi connection was probably the best we've encountered in Japan. We've tried 3 of 9 private baths and all of them were quite pleasant. However, the Kuromoji bath's door to the outdoor onsen didn't close all the way so it was chilly in the indoor bath, and the Hina bath had just 1 shower (we kind of expected at least 2). The food was excellent! We enjoyed all the courses of dinner and breakfast, but I must say the quantity of dinner dishes was just enough to be 80% full. If you are accustomed to Japanese portions, you might find this dinner too light. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in Hanafubuki ryokan and would love to come again!

I've always wanted to visit Izu, and after seeing recommendations online 🤔, I decided to check out this guesthouse. And it certainly didn't disappoint! 🫵 The owner is from Xi'an. After booking, you can message him on WeChat or email him to let him know your estimated arrival time in Izu. 👌 He'll personally pick you up from the station, and if you want to visit other attractions, he'll also drive you if he's available, saving you travel time. The guesthouse itself is beautiful 👏🏻, with a strong artistic vibe thanks to all the decorations. The proprietress is very talented 👍, and every corner of the room is stunningly decorated. I also have to praise the owner's cooking! 👍 If you're craving Xi'an specialties, you can ask the owner to cook for you. You can order à la carte or choose a guesthouse meal package (a heads-up: there are no restaurants or supermarkets nearby) 😜. We booked breakfast and dinner (for breakfast, you can choose between Chinese or Western) ☺, and the owner's noodles are absolutely amazing 😋. If you want to try Xi'an noodles, you can ask the owner to cook them for you (he mentioned they mostly serve noodles for lunch) 👌. I usually don't have much of an appetite for breakfast, so the owner specially made me a big bowl of Qishan Saozi noodles 🍜. Oh my god 😋, the sour and spicy flavors immediately opened up my appetite! Thank you to the incredible owner for saving my Chinese stomach! 🙏 Oh, and in the evenings, the owner will also take you to nearby hot springs ♨. If you want to experience authentic local hot springs, you should definitely try it! ♨ The owners are very easygoing, and after two days, it felt like we were old friends. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Izu 🙂 and another taste of the owner's amazing Saozi noodles! 🍜

The room is very spacious as it is like an apartment. The hotel is older but we can imagine it to be a luxury hotel back in its heyday. Location is no issue as we drove, and it was convenient to all the main attractions around the area eg. Mount omuro, jogasaki. The kids booked a slot in the kids playroom which is suitable for younger children. There was also a kids game which they can exchange for a prize upon completion, similar to Easter egg hunt, which made them excited and this helped us become familiar with the common areas and facilities.

The seafood sashimi was a little small, but the meal was satisfactory. The stairs from the parking lot to the front room were tight for me with bad knees.

In fact, the hotel is very good, the environment is very good, the room is very beautiful, the toilet is super big, and it is very comfortable to live. But the disadvantage is that the traffic is too inconvenient, unless you drive by yourself... and dinner needs to be booked one day in advance, otherwise there is nothing to eat nearby.

Before we booked here I read some review from locals (Japanese) said that better to book somewhere else as this hotel is very pricey and offers low value. For example the dinner and breakfast are not impressive and not enough. Feels to me they use mostly cheaper ingredients for good presentation only. Worst point is they do not serve coffee/tea during breakfast and ask you to make yourself at the lobby with those premix which is a turn off. Especially after the high room price we paid. Like the other locals said : better to spend the money elsewhere

The location is a bit remote, on the mountain, but there is a parking lot. It is highly recommended for friends who drive by themselves. Although the setting is relatively old, it is cheap, clean, and very quiet. There is a golf course downstairs, which can provide golf entertainment. The hotel also has hot springs for soaking

I enjoy the hotel. It’s so simple and it’s comfortable. I’m staying with my three kids and two grandma’s. One of my kids is autistic and he likes the place very much because the rooms are wide. It’s great for a family who on a budget trip😊 the best part is the room is so quiet and you can hear the bird singing early in the morning I guess it’s the best part. My youngest daughter she’s four years old. She said she doesn’t wanna come home yet. She’s not ready to leave the place.
