I had a fantastic experience at Forest Glaming! The staff, including Mr. Terada & the cool dude with long hair, were not only incredibly friendly but also made an effort to communicate with me in English and encouraged my attempts at speaking Japanese. Despite missing the shuttle bus, Mr. Terada kindly came to pick me up. The resort is a serene haven, offering tranquility and the cleanest toilets I've ever encountered. ✨Being tented near the shower and toilet facilities was an added bonus. 😮💨The food was outstanding, especially the aged domestic beef 🍖 BBQ. The only disappointment was not having the chance to share the wonderful dinner with the staff. I totally recommend Forest Glaming to anyone seeking a rejuvenating escape with exceptional service and facilities. The staff's warmth and willingness to engage in different languages truly enhanced my stay. Fantabulous!!! 😍🥰

We stayed at this hotel for one night and had a pleasant experience overall. The room was comfortable, the staff were friendly, and everything we needed for a short stay was available. The hotel is a bit dated, and you can see some signs of wear and tear in the facilities and furnishings. However, considering the price, it offers very good value for money. We also appreciated the traditional Japanese ryokan-inspired atmosphere, which gave the place a unique and cozy character. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced place to stay and don’t mind that it’s not brand new, this is a solid option. We would stay here again for a short trip.

The family booked a triple room, the boss adjusted it to 205, twin beds plus tatami, the room boss, living in 5-6 people is no problem. There is a kitchen. Free drinks in the lobby on the first floor, and it is very pleasant to sit and play games at night. From Izu Plateau Station to the hotel, you can make an appointment to pick up or take a taxi. The local road is narrow and it is all uphill and downhill. It is too inconvenient to drag your luggage. Quiet surroundings, you can see the sea from a distance

🌊All the wonderful memories of this trip stem from this charming little hotel in Izu~ ✨The sunrise over the sea visible from the room; the sunlight streaming through the arched windows, turning the wallpaper a honey color; the little restaurant that seems straight out of a manga; the breakfast bathed in sunlight; the beautiful green view from the window at the end of the stairs; the quiet open-air hot spring; and the warm and thoughtful service from the host! Returning to Tomigo Station every day felt like coming home, and I was reluctant to leave~ I want to come back again! · 🌿Although it's a small hotel, during my stay, I could feel the host's efforts to provide thoughtful service: ▫️When researching Izu, everyone mentioned that local public transportation is inconvenient, with few services, requiring careful planning. This hotel solves this big problem by offering pick-up and drop-off services to nearby attractions (advance booking required, reasonable price, Chinese communication available), saving a lot of time! ▫️Mount Omuro, Kinosaki Coast, and the Cactus Zoo are all within a 10-minute drive~ The host has a fantastic list of recommended restaurants (I tried several and they were all delicious!), and can also provide reliable information on public transportation to the surrounding area. (The shuttle service from Futo Station is free twice, once during check-in and once during check-out!) · 🛎 What I want to praise most is the laundry service! In the morning, simply put your clothes in the laundry basket, and in the evening, the staff will bring the washed and dried clothes back to your room for only a 300 yen service fee each time! I'm so grateful!! No need to wait in front of the coin-operated washing machines; you can save time to go out and have fun, and when you come back, your clothes are clean!!! Thank you!! ▫️ Hot and cold drinking water is thoughtfully provided in the hallway common areas, so you don't need to go down to the restaurant to get water. ▫️ Eye masks, earplugs, and other small amenities are thoughtfully provided in the room. · ☕️ I really love the first-floor common area. The right side has a sun-drenched floor-to-ceiling window, and in late autumn, you can even see some red leaves. Sitting by the bed every day having breakfast (simple but delicious!) already puts me in a good mood. The back window of the restaurant bar on the left offers a view of green trees. They serve drinks and small bottles of wine in the evenings, and you can also order a hand-drip coffee in a pretty glass. Every day after my soak in the hot spring, I use the tables and chairs in the common area to organize my photos from the day. ▫️The open-air private hot spring can be booked for 50 minutes daily. The accompanying changing rooms and showers are very clean and tidy. I don't usually like hot springs, but it was so refreshing in the cool autumn air. From the small pool, you can see the maple trees and stars outside. · ☀️Our room had a white-framed arched window. After the lights were turned off at night, the moonlight shone through the semi-circular glass onto the roof. It sounds old-fashioned, but it was truly beautiful. In the morning, the window casts a honey-colored sunlight onto the beams, and you can sit up in bed and see the sunrise over the shimmering sea in the distance. You can brew a cup of hot tea and enjoy a peaceful morning in Izu on the small balcony. The only slight regret about this trip was not staying an extra day; we just stayed in the hotel, relaxing, drinking beverages, and looking at the sea from the balcony.

It's a bit of a walk from ITO station with a suitcase. A taxi is about 800-1000 yen. There's no water cooler or coffee machine. The five onsen are enough for everyone. Breakfast is modest, but the scrambled eggs and sausages are okay. But the Japanese-style room with a view of the city and mountains is fantastic! The mountain air and sea are fantastic! The sea is also about 20 minutes away, so it's a good walk.

The overall is very comfortable: the room is very large, there is also a Japanese-style room, with a very refreshing bamboo mat fragrance, which is impressive. I was worried that the equipment was a bit old, in fact, these old-fashioned appliances functioned quite well, and the small appliances were very complete (there were water dispensers and small refrigerators that provided hot water), perfect than expected.

”This trip to Izu Kogen was made particularly memorable because of this B&B. As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner's warm welcome made me feel like spring breeze. The owner was very considerate. The room is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm and Japanese, making people feel as comfortable as at home. It must be mentioned that this B&B is very close to the Jogasaki Coast, and it is very convenient to travel. You can just walk there, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful. When we went back, it rained heavily and the tram stopped running. The owner took the initiative to contact us to help us find a way, and finally sent us to our destination. Highly Recommended!! Key Point: The hotel includes a one-day admission ticket, allowing access to three attractions within one day: (Cactus Zoo, Izu Granpal Park, and the New York Lighting Museum Garden). We recommend checking in after visiting Mt. Omuro, enjoying a one-night stay with two meals at the onsen (hot spring), and then visiting the above attractions the next day! Perfect for families and couples! We recommend driving or walking to the hotel from Mt. Omuro/the zoo. Environment and Location: The hotel is located next to Mt. Omuro, about a 10-minute walk from the Mt. Omuro Ropeway; it also has a private entrance to the Cactus Zoo (accessible via a gate next to the hotel). The hotel features a terrace and platform with stunning surrounding views, perfect for taking photos, overlooking the sunrise, night views, and Mt. Omuro. Rooms and Facilities: Spacious rooms with a semi-Western, semi-Japanese design. Meals: The hotel offers a Japanese set breakfast and a kaiseki dinner.

The structure seems to be a legacy of the bubble era. The luxurious layout allows you to move between the main building and each building via pedestrians. It's reminiscent of the 5-star hotels of Phuket and Bali of the past. The all-inclusive plan also feels like good value. Unfortunately, however, maintenance of the interior and exterior has not kept up, and various parts are badly deteriorated. The bathhouse is also made of good granite, so it should be polished properly. The exterior walls are so black that you want to use a Karcher cleaner. I wish it was a little cleaner.

The staff here are very helpful and polite, they even helped me to contact the next hotel for clarification. Only I recommend them to build a store room around the parking lot so that the huge size of the luggage can be left there for overseas traveller and no need to bring up to the hotel by walking the long stairs, if any. Also, they can provide a simple map in the website to locate their exact hotel location and nearby shops, cafe and supermarket, train station, etc.    For me, I had a great experience spent in this hotel. If you like to see sunrise, it also a good place to stay in ocean view room.  If you like running, you can run along the hill side with wonderful ocean view.
