Returned to the UK on 28th Oct after 2 brilliant weeks! Travelled as a family of 4 (our kids are 12 & 9) & stayed in a 2 bed family room, 777, which is away from the main building but had wonderful views of the sea & mountains. As others have said, this is one of the blocks that is dated & could do with being refurbished but on the whole, was comfortable. Note to the hotel, if you are planning to refurbish these rooms, the wardrobe space is great but additional drawers for storage would be really useful as we didn’t have enough room to unpack all of our clothes for a 2 week stay. The food at the hotel is to a high standard, yes a buffet can get a little repetitive after 2 weeks, but that would be the same any hotel. We enjoyed the food, it was hot, tasty & plentiful. The Turkish al a carte was excellent but we didn’t try the others. Ice cream was available from 12-5 everyday & the vanilla is one of the creamiest I’ve ever tasted & the pistachio was equally delicious! The kids loved the bubble tea & mocktails & the coffee shop does a great ice coffee (as well as cappuccinos, lattes etc) & the patisserie offers a good range of cookies & cakes. If you don’t want a buffet lunch the Pine Bar offers a sit down lunch which is served to you (and also takeaway), the menu is pizzas, burgers, chicken schnitzel, chicken wraps etc and agin, was really tasty! The wine offered was pretty good, I had a couple of glasses of rose with dinner & it was drinkable, not a nice Pinot blush by any means but it tasted ok! We had no issues getting sunbeds and opted to spend most days on the pier at the beach because the pool areas were too shady and the pools were too cold in our opinion, the sea was much warmer! And there are so many fish, the pier is a great place for snorkelling! We were lucky enough to see turtles most days & a seal even popped up one day! Only minor consideration if you sunbathe on the pier & beach is that it is a bit of walk back to the toilets. The location of the hotel was perfect for us, in between Marmaris & Icmeler & you can walk along to either resort from the hotel along a paved & mostly flat path which follows the beach so is a really nice walk & takes about half an hour to Marmaris & slightly less to Icmeler. If walking isn’t your thing or is too far then there is a taxi rank right outside the hotel & also a bus stop. We took the bus a number of times to both Marmaris & Icmeler & it was very easy & only 25 Lira each! You can get a green or orange bus into the towns but I was told only the orange buses bring you back to the hotel, so we followed that advice & had no problems but be prepared to stand as seats are limited. The buses will pick you up from anywhere, just flag them down if you can get to the next bus stop! We also took a boat trip directly from the hotel which was a full day trip 10-5 which was only £13 each including a chicken, pasta & salad lunch. Drinks & ice creams were additional but at reasonable cost but note you can’t
