Palmon Bay Hotel & Spa

Such a beautiful hotel with professional yet friendly and helpful staff. Especially Lidje the receptionist she went beyond her way to make it enjoyable for us when we visited at low season not much was open. I thank everyone from cleaner and waiters were amazing. Highly recommended.

The hotel is outstanding, rooms, facilities, staff, gardens, location , clean and modern I just can’t fault them that was the positives Negatives , they have sound of a Falcon that plays on repeat for the reason I would think to keep the pigeons and the like away ( IT DOESNT WORK ) the birds just fly in as and when to be fed by the staff 😆, but what it does do is drives you insane , theres is no pleasure in sitting out side at all with that din going on ( note GM ) please? Lastly the food , the food is terrible and repetitive , the juice is like dish water , the coffee if that’s what you can call it , is no resemblance to coffee , what makes me laugh the most, you leave the restaurant to walk into a bar and lovely seating area ,to be served at your cost the most lovely coffee you can find in the area Palmon Bay ! you are letting your self and your reviews down for the above reasons

We stayed here mid April 2024. Unfortunately half of the facilities were not open which was disappointing upon arrival as this was not made clear at the time of booking. We arrived at 12pm only to be told we couldn’t check in and to come back in a couple of hours time. So we went for a wander and had some lunch. When we arrived back we had to wait some more as there was a staff member getting changed in the luggage room. The check in process was quite basic, they didn’t tell us anything about the area and didn’t provide us with a map or local transport links etc. The hotel isn’t in a particularly nice area of Monte*****, it is more of a residential area with quite a few derelict looking buildings surrounding it. The area isn’t quite ready for tourism yet in my opinion, with lots of building work ongoing. The restaurants nearby all serve the same food - fish, pasta and pizza. The service in and outside of the hotel isn’t quite there - we visited several places where service was extremely slow and it took a while for them to even acknowledge us. Our standard room was tiny! So if you stay here I would definitely recommend upgrading. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. We were also told upon arrival that the air conditioning was not yet switched on so we couldn’t have this in our rooms. This again was a bit annoying as the hotel and rooms were very hot and it made sleeping a bit of a struggle. We did open the balcony door but the noise of the road and air conditioning units kept us up. We stayed B&B - the breakfast was not on par for a 4* hotel. It was quite limited - especially for vegetarians. Eggs and omelettes were cold and there were an unusual selection of choices in my opinion - but I understand they have to try and cater for lots of different nationalities and cultures. The hotel is spotlessly clean - this was the best thing about it. The spa was also very nice and clean. The outdoor pool and Olive terrace restaurant were not open disappointedly so I cannot comment on these - in the pictures they look nice! Monte***** is a stunning country and the Monte***** Blue and Skadar Lake tours by Jet2 were very good. However, I think staying in another resort further into the bay would be better. The good - really clean, modern hotel. Nice spa. The bad - poor food, no air conditioning at time of visit, small rooms, resort area.

I can thoroughly recommend this hotel. We had a great time at Palmon Bay hotel. Excellent situation. Hotel can organise trips from a local travel agent . Dubrovnik and Ostrog Monastery. There may be more in the summer months. Staff are very very helpful, polite, yet friendly. Extremely good command of English, puts us Brits to shame. Rooms were clean, services daily. We had a super view of sea and mountains with a balcony. We had half board. The food was lovely. Lots of choice, very tasty and well presented. The Spa facilities were a lovely treat. I had a massage which was fantastic. Thank you Palmon Bay!

The hotel seems to have a policy of putting guests in the worst rooms - small and with no views (except of the inside of the hotel or the road). They then offer a balcony for an additional £12 per night up to the 3rd floor (no views) prices rising from there for a balcony on an upper floor (£20 a night) and even more for a sea view. The food was poor and lacked variety (school dinners comes to mind). Tour operators seem reluctant to intervene. Avoid

This is forth time me and father are coming back to this hotel (in the past 12 months).....and that should tell you how great this place is. I already left one 5 star review about this place.....but I have to repeat myself..... because they always manage to outdo themselves and make it even better. If you love outdoors.....hiking and mountain climbing......this place is surrounded with majestic mountains. If you love sea adventures.........you just walk out of hotel, and you there. Location is perfect, hotel is beautiful, breakfast and dinner delicious........but it's the people that work there that make it a 10 star hotel! Thank you Lidija, Dragana and everyone at the front desk for always smooth check in and check out, for all your help with anything we needed. Those are the first smiley faces we see when we come and the last ones when we leave. That's why is so hard to say goodbye. Thank you housekeeping ladies for keeping everything so nice and clean, always ready to take care anything we need for our room. Thank you everyone at the kitchen and restaurant for delicious breakfast and dinner buffet.......and thank you Aleksandra for always being such a great host and greeting us with a smile (always remembering our room number). Thank you Jelena for keeping the pool and spa area with your team members, always in such impeccable shape. Thank you Vukosava for always wishing me and dad a wonderful day (with your big smile) while walking through garden and yard area. My apologies for not mentioning everyone's name.......so I'm just going to say that all the employees at the hotel are hard working and amazing in their own way.I believe it takes good management to have and to keep this great group of people. Would have been a nice stay but unfortunately after booking through Travel Republic as a package we were told the hotel wanted more money for the stay so we cancelled. We then booked accommodation only through the same company to be advised next day it’s no longer available - advised by the hotel apparently. But it’s still showing as having availability on many sites for our dates. Hey Ho we’ve now booked somewhere else who I’m sure will appreciate our business and hopefully won’t mess us around ! Not great customer service 😏

Really lovely hotel. Room was clean and modern. Upon checking in we were voluntarily offered a twin room (travelling with a friend) which was great. Facilities were really good. The main pool is really nice with access to the beach. Plenty of loungers and towels provided. The second  floor pool area is an added bonus and a well kept secret, we were the only ones there! The spa was nice, great to have the option of an indoor pool. My friend had a massage, she really enjoyed it and was reasonably priced. The roof top bar gives great views. Location was a huge bonus, we didn't realise how good it was until we arrived. Just outside the hotel are lots of different restaurants all along the seafront. Herceg Novi old town is a 30 minute walk, nice to have a look around. The restaurants were really reasonably priced, fresh pizza for €10. Supermarket is nearby. The staff were friendly and really helpful. Reception recommended a boat tour operator which we then booked through. They also booked us spaces on the bus to Dubrovnik. We had a great day and very easy. The food is the only thing that let's the hotel down. I'd recommend B&B only, we did half board but ate out a couple of times. There was very limited fresh fruit at breakfast, the fruit salad continually ran out. Dinner was okay. Always fish and usually a slow cooked meat dish which was nice. The dessert was limited, just 2 layered cake slices. Part way through our stay a big group arrived. They took over the restaurant and the hotel struggled to keep up demand. We started eating later and this helped. Overall, I would really recommend the hotel.
