"Had a fantastic stay! Huge shout-out to客服小魏 (Xiao Wei from customer service). She called me right after I booked through Trip.com to ask about my preferences, and even helped me upgrade my room. After check-in, she thoughtfully asked if I was driving and assisted with vehicle access permissions. The room itself was great too – I was on the 44th floor overlooking Haining City, though unfortunately, heavy haze that day obscured the view. The pool and gym were a welcome addition, adding some fun to an otherwise hectic business trip.
I especially recommend the lamb offal soup for breakfast – it was incredibly tender and smooth 👍. My only suggestion would be to serve the lamb soup a bit hotter. A piping hot lamb soup, combined with the cilantro-infused offal, would really bring out their unique aromas! 🥰"

"The room was very clean, and I did not notice any areas that felt dirty during my stay.
The location is excellent for anyone who has business at the university. However, for tourists, it may be less convenient, as there is no nearby metro or train station and traveling around requires taking a taxi. For me, since I was visiting a friend who studies at the university, the location was perfect.
The staff were cheerful, friendly, and very helpful throughout my stay.
The room was well equipped with most of the necessary amenities. The only thing missing was a refrigerator. Surprisingly (and amusingly), there was even laundry detergent provided 😂, which was a nice and unexpected touch."

"The central air conditioning temperature can't be adjusted individually, and it was a bit warm at night, making it hard to sleep. Every time I return to China and go to Haining, I stay at this hotel. The decor is really nice. The power outlets in the room aren't the large-holed type; European plugs require an adapter, which you can ask the front desk for. I'll likely stay here again next time I'm in China, but the air conditioning really needs to be set lower. I woke up hot for the first time."

"Our second stop for Chinese New Year was Yanguan, and choosing the Xuandemen Hotel was a brilliant decision! The hotel's location is superb, right in the heart of the scenic area. The complimentary shuttle bus is available on demand, making it incredibly convenient to get around the scenic area and travel to and from the tide-watching spot. It saved us a lot of walking and made our travel experience perfect.
The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, with both Chinese and Western options. Everything was fresh and delicious, with so many selections to satisfy different tastes. It was a great way to fuel up for a day of exploring.
The overall ambiance was elegant and comfortable, making for a fantastic stay. There were so many activities planned for the New Year that we couldn't even get to all of them – we just went with the flow. The resort atmosphere was amazing, and the most unique part was the firsthand tide-watching experience, which was both stunning and unforgettable. The hotel even thoughtfully reminded us of the tidal bore times, which really enhanced the experience."

"An unexpected surprise at Laichao Lezhi City! I brought my parents along, and luckily, we got upgraded to the Bruce Family Suite because of a room adjustment with the scenic area. It's a massive 127 square meters – super spacious and beautiful. The hotel lobby is also quite grand, and staying here gives you free access to an exclusive tide-watching spot. The Music House Museum on B1 is definitely worth a visit, and the restaurants here are also pretty good. It gets a bit noisy with kids during holidays, but the experience is excellent on weekdays."

I left my backpack with Apple laptop, cash in multiple currencies, passport, handphone in it on the side of the street in front of the hotel, where the Didi pick up was. I realised this only upon arrival of Hangzhou Airport (1 hour+ drive from the hotel). Immediately call the hotel FO and he managed to get it back from the street and safekeeping it until another Didi pick up and send to me in airport. If any management member see this post, please praise the FO. The incident was on 21/1/2025 around 8am.

GGuest UserBest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room is high-tech, I got an amazing view with floor-to-ceiling windows. There’s a Dyson hair dryer in the room, and the room aesthetics were cool. Hotel is right beside a giant shopping mall (Yintai City), and there are many amenities. Gym and self-service laundry are free and available 24/7, and your room can monitor the progress of the laundry. Overall just super value-for-money and an absolute steal.

There are not many types of buffet breakfast and the quality is popular. During the period after check-in, one of them had a power outage for about 2 hours (8 pm to 10 pm). At that time, I looked out of the window. The reason for the power outage was estimated to be a regional range. At that time, the door of the room was opened. The corridors were dark and there was no emergency light. (I don't know if this situation meets the fire equipment regulations), will there be safety hazards? Personally feel that there is no sense of security. I lived on the 9th floor at the time. During the power outage, I didn’t see any hotel staff implementing relevant notices or prompts, because it was in the room at the time, and suddenly there was a power outage (the first time I encountered the hotel power outage), we didn’t know what happened (caused a sudden power outage) , if the mobile phone can't turn on the flashlight, the whole environment is dark (affecting the stay experience), after the power is turned on, there is a hotel staff to come over to send a small gift to apologize, overall, the price is OK!

GGuest UserThe B&B is right on the old street. It is very convenient to get to the B&B from the parking lot, and it is only a few steps away from the scenic spots.
The interior decoration of the B&B is very stylish, the calligraphy and painting decorations are very charming, and the whole street has a refreshing and noble feeling that is not stained by the mud. The boss also has a lot of knowledge. He can give a eloquent introduction to the history of Yanguan Ancient Town and tide watching strategies. The fourth-grade students he received are also familiar with it. The service tips are also very attentive and helpful.
We checked in from October 3rd to 5th. The old street in front of the hotel is the only night market area with old buildings. When we stepped out, we felt like we were transported back to the temple market in the 1990s. The atmosphere of fireworks in the street market is rich, but not flattering.
Let’s talk about the travel experience of Eleven Scenic Areas! In addition to being expensive, tide watching parks are expensive. Not to mention the crowds, the tide after the 3rd is generally not considered a big tide. Fortunately, I didn't go to the Tide Park to watch the tide. The viewing platform charges an additional 80 yuan per person. The first wave of tide is just one wave, and it takes about three minutes to complete. I went to Liangjiadun in advance to watch the tidal wave. It was not too big and there were many people, but it was better than the Tide Watching Park, and it was free. As for the first line of tide in Yanguan, we did not pull down the tide. We could also see the tide at Xiaoputuo Temple when we met unexpectedly. It is really not recommended to check in during the Tide Watching Festival. Road closures everywhere and tolls are just for watching the crowds.
Let’s talk about the century-old city. Apart from the Confucius Temple, not much is left of the Tanah Lot Temple. The value of the tour is only the white marble door plate outside the door. Only one ten thousandth of the courtyard building inside has been preserved. The furnishings are just like a temple. There is no trace of the life of a wealthy family. Other ancient city walls are under construction, and we don’t know when they will be completed.
In order to watch the tide, you can check in in other months. As for looking for historical monuments, we have to wait and see how quickly the Yanguan government can repair them. Anyway, today’s Yanguan travel experience is not very advanced in terms of software and hardware.

GGuest UserThe shop is easy to find along the street. The ”small courtyard” at the entrance, surrounded by flowers and plants, is very cozy. It's directly opposite the entrance to Guanchao Shengdi Park, offering free admission before 7:30 AM and after 5:30 PM. The proprietress and her family are very friendly and welcoming, and will inform you of any precautions. The interior of the room is reminiscent of an old-fashioned two-star hotel, but the sanitation is exceptional. The flowers and plants outside the window, along with the clothesline, create a homely and comfortable feeling. We stayed on the third floor, which doesn't have an elevator, but the proprietress offered to help us carry our suitcases upstairs, which was very much appreciated. I suggest the proprietress install a wind shield on the air conditioner, as it would otherwise blow directly onto the bed.

GGuest UserThe environment here is super comfortable and convenient. It’s just a short walk to the Qiantang River Tidal Bore Park. I booked a river-view room, and you can watch the tidal bore right from your room, which offers fantastic views! The cleanliness was top-notch, very tidy and spotless! The lobby manager, customer service, and staff were all incredibly warm, professional, and attentive! I also loved that there's a pool where you can swim.
However, the ventilation was completely silent, and I was told it’s a silent exhaust system. Also, there were a lot of bugs flying around in the restaurant, which they attributed to the season.

The hotel is in an office building. The beautiful woman at the front desk was very enthusiastic and gave me an extra set of dental kits and free breakfast. It was a surprise😍. The room was booked as a parent-child room, so it was very big, clean and tidy👍, and there was bath water. It's very big, the mattress is comfortable and big, especially my daughter is so happy to jump around
I don’t comment much on the breakfast because it is provided. If you have some requirements, I think you should not go there🤭. The milk is too sweet🌚There are no noodles and wontons🤦♂️The blueberry sauce and butter are melted and frozen🙄, look at my last one You can tell from the photo. I only had some porridge and cucumber fermented bean curd. I felt like I was eating like an elderly person🤭🤭
