"Love their home cooked dishes! We rather go back to hotel for meal after Gubei water town. The couple bosses were so sweet to let us indicate spiciness and accommodate our minor diet restriction. They dun have noodles but they used alternative ingredients to make some gourd dish that tasted close to noodles. The rooms were big, in SG standard, one bed was queen size and the other was super single. Their bathroom was newly renovated and love their heater installed at shower cubicle, making it more comfortable to shower in cold weather. The couple bosses provided great tips on local transport to help us get to/fro Jinshanling for sunset and sunrise opportunities. They are situated around 5min drive from Jinshanling ticketing. Love the room doorstep views overlooking the geese and house dog. We will choose this hotel next time!"

"Location is unbeatable!! The hotel is right before the entrance gate to the Jinshanling Great Wall cable car station and trail heads. You can actually hike up to good view points on the Great Wall injust 30-40 minutes. The hotel is in good condition. The room is mostly clean and well maintained. The AC works well. Toilet has a weird smell but didn't bother me that much. Wish they provided conditioner (only shampoo and shower gel were in the bathroom). Restaurant has many options for Chinese dishes and so is the buffet breakfast. If I come back, definitely book it again for the excellent location."

"The inn boasts an excellent location, with a clear view of the Great Wall and its battlements right from our window. The owner was incredibly warm and attentive, even giving us a complimentary room upgrade. The food was organic, healthy, delicious, and offered great value for money. What's even more remarkable is that the innkeeper, Mr. Zhou Wanping, is a guardian of the Great Wall and a renowned photographer with the photography association. We actually met him inside the Great Wall battlements, and he was very humble. When we left, the proprietress walked us to the door, promising to see us again in autumn."

"We started our Great Wall walk at the north gate in gubeikou. This guest house was very convenient for that. Gubeikou is a lovely village with a shop and a few restaurants. The owners met us from the taxi and took us to our room. Room very clean and warm. We were hungry and they made us homemade dumplings, very tasty. Nice shower. Kept our bags while we walked the wall to jingshaling and returned the next day to get train back to Beijing"

"The room was very clean, and the hot water and air conditioning worked well. It's located a few hundred meters from the middle gate of Jinshanling, just a few minutes' walk from the scenic area. You can buy a second-entry ticket at the entrance. Arrive in the evening to watch the sunset and watch the sunrise in the morning. Dinner can be ordered at the guesthouse after you come down the mountain; the owner's home-style dishes are quite good. Breakfast is also available. The owner is incredibly welcoming and even helped with travel tips. Highly recommended! Facilities: Fully equipped Cleanliness: Clean Environment: Home-style Service: Warm and welcoming"

"We were scared of large crowds at the wall, and followimg many online recommendation we found the Jinshanling section. This hotel is at the great location a short walk from the mid enterance to the wall section, the Gubeikou train station is also very reachable from the Beijingbei (North) train station. It is also quite affordable to reach the place by Didi (550 yuan from the Beijing airport). The place is clean, and the food really stands out as quite amazing, the prices are also very low, for room and food. Just tell the owner you would want a breakfast and you will be served one first thing in the morning. The ladies are also super nice and very hospitable to the foreign turists."

"We hiked the Great Wall of China from Gubeikou to Jinshanling and chose this hotel to rest after the day. The accommodation is ideally located, right next to the entrance gate to the Wall. The host was very welcoming, and the room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. All the beautiful photos you see of his establishment were taken by the host himself! Since we were there during the off-season and most shops were closed, the host offered to cook dinner and breakfast for us. He is a delicious cook. He also offers taxi services and was able to take us to Gubeikou train station the next morning for our return trip to Beijing. We are extremely grateful for this wonderful stay in Jinshanling and would gladly return!"

"Amazing guesthouse and could not ask for better location to the Jinshanling Great Wall (1 minute walk away from the entrance gates). Very kind accommodating owner and staff, great dinners as well, comfortable room, and even pick up and drop off from train station. Perfect place to stay to see the wall, and the Jinshanling wall was absolutely amazing, and fairly quiet with less people. Highly recommend this place."

"The room and hardware facilities are pretty good, and the price is honestly very affordable during the National Day holiday. . . The worst part is the lack of service and service awareness. . . GGuest UserI added it to my wishlist last year when it opened, and finally stayed here this year! Seeing so much greenery on the way here instantly lifted my spirits, and the red brick color scheme of the entire complex immediately calmed my mind. The whole hotel has a very high-quality feel. From the lobby to the second-floor public areas to the rooms, I loved the color scheme and furnishings; it had a sense of timeless elegance. The terrace overlooks a large lawn, and looking up, you're greeted by a view of lush greenery. I loved it. Staying in the room was so comfortable; the bright green outside and the calming brown inside made it perfect for relaxation. The warm yellow lighting at night was gentle and not glaring. There were books and a reading lamp by the bedside, making it easy to fall asleep after a couple of pages. The hotel service was excellent. They added me in advance with their contact information and informed me of the location, parking, and other details before I checked in. During my stay, communication and response were very quick. They even provided sincere and practical solutions for a minor water outage due to maintenance. I truly felt at home. The staff were all very nice, especially the guy who greeted me. Before leaving, I wanted to ask for the hotel's name, but they said no thanks, haha—such a big heart! The amenities were also great. The complimentary breakfast offered a variety of choices. The First Canteen was very convenient, and the burger was delicious. My favorite restaurants for main meals are Shiwei Valley and Xiaomai. The public bathhouse is also quiet and comfortable with few people. The mountain forest exploration route and the corner tower climbing route both offer beautiful scenery. It's a nice day! The dog is super cute. I love that when you come to Aranya, you don't have to worry about anything else. It's perfect for a relaxing 2-3 day getaway!

GGuest UserI took my parents to Jinshanling for a three-day, two-night off-peak getaway. **Environment:** The hotel's location is excellent. Right outside, you'll find restaurants and a bakery, and just a short walk away is a large lawn. The interior environment is simple and quiet. **Service:** What's truly commendable is that I added Si Han from the front desk on WeChat during check-in. She was very gentle and polite in person, and always resolved all our issues promptly. Because I was with my parents, she often anticipated our needs. The next time I go to Jinshanling, I'll definitely look for her again. **Private Hot Spring Experience (2 hours):** We used the private hot spring for two consecutive days. It's indeed much smaller than the one at Wulingshan, and the tea and snacks provided weren't as refined. However, the excellent service made up for it.

SSidouOn April 30, we just randomly found a restaurant to stay at night, but it was unexpected. The boss and his wife were very nice. They waited for us at around 9 o'clock in the evening and helped us prepare dinner. The dishes cooked by the boss were also very delicious and especially suitable for our appetite. The room was newly renovated and carefully decorated. It was clean, hygienic and refreshing! I will choose this restaurant next time I go to Jinshanling Great Wall. There is a large parking lot at the door, which is convenient for parking.

GGuest UserFriendly family run place, and both father and son was very happy to assist in anything, especially advice on how to tackle the great wall visit. If you are into photography, even better as they will provide all the best advice, including getting a double-entry ticket so that you can go for sunrise and sunset shoot. The place is literally just outside the gate!!

The dishes are also delicious and the children like it very much. The only thing that makes people uncomfortable is that they didn't say that they would charge when they helped send the ticket gate. I heard the proprietress say that after breakfast, I helped send the ticket gate of the Great Wall. After climbing the Great Wall, I asked me to call again. They came to pick it up. If they didn't mention how much money, they defaulted to the free service. As a result, at checkout, each person was 10 yuan a way, and we received 80 yuan for a big and three small back and forth. If you tell us in advance that this is a fee service will be better, we can have our own choice whether to accept this service. I should also ask if it is free first.

No tea bags, no water. The room is exactly what it looks like on the photos. Not bad at all. A little thin-walled but okay. The aircon is old but does its job.

GGuest UserThe room was clean and tidy. I took a break one day and didn't go out, so it was quiet all day long. The family members all agreed that they had a good rest at night and the quality of their sleep was very high. The boss's own restaurant serves delicious meals three times a day, with large portions, fresh food, and good quality at low prices. The big steamed buns are delicious, and there are also fried eggs, fried mushrooms, tofu soup, pimple soup... The lady boss grows green onions and cucumbers herself, and every dish is delicious. The proprietress is beautiful and enthusiastic. We have elderly people and children. The proprietress takes good care of both the children and the elderly. The boss heard that we wanted to climb the Great Wall to watch the sunrise, so he drove us to the ticket office at 4 a.m. for both days of our stay. Thank you. This trip to the Jinshanling Great Wall was very enjoyable, and I highly recommend Cuijia Xiaoyuan. Forget taking photos at the B&B, post some beautiful views of the Great Wall!
