"The hotel is perfect to visit the Jinshanling section. We had the best time on the wall and watching the sunset was an amazing experience. If you want the best Great Wall experience you should go there and stay a night. The hotel by itself is not that good but it is the best you can get to see the wall like nowhere else."

"We booked two rooms with our kids to climb the Great Wall. The owner upgraded us to a room across the street, which was very convenient. The food at the restaurant was delicious and quite popular. It was also very close to the visitor center and easy to find. Parking was convenient, right on the road at the entrance."

"Not sure of this was a hotelroom of a house. Looks like a house, but there was no complete inventory. No cups for example. The staff at The Front desk was very friendly, but not assertive or knowing. The restaurant had a very young staff, with no overview. They forgot one dish and when we asked they said the kitchen was already closed. Drinks were not served. When asked they did not understand it. Ik was quite confusing. I do not blame them, they were so young and they were trying, but the management was sitting at the table next to us while it happend and they did not help these young kids. We enjoyed the location and had a fantastic visit to the wall but overall the experience was quite underwhelming."

"The hotel was nothing like a 3 star. Maybe 1 or 2 star. The shower was on top of the toilet and there were only two small towels with no shampoo. For the price it was ok, but the starts should be representative, not deceiving!"

"The rooms were clean and hygienic, the owner was warm and attentive, the food was delicious and I really liked it, and parking was convenient. I stayed for six days during my trip to Jinshanling, and the owner always made time to pick me up and drop me off at the ticket gate every day. It's a farmhouse inn with good value for money. I was particularly impressed by their braised fish, magnolia sprout pancakes, stir-fried pork with mushrooms, stir-fried gourd strips with pork, handmade chive and egg dumplings, and homemade pancakes."
