"Honestly, even though it's by the lake, there weren't as many bugs as I expected. And honestly, the soundproofing is really good. I'm quite particular about soundproofing, but every night I was able to sleep undisturbed until I naturally woke up. Also, things like smart home features, linen hygiene, and service are all top-notch at these B&Bs now, so that goes without saying. The lobby is also a cafe, and the front desk said it would be a restaurant soon, which is a shame because I can't stay that long. It's located next to a pretty big village, so food, drink, and entertainment are all convenient, and there are charging stations too. Overall, I'm very satisfied. P.S. The balcony in the room near the corridor seems to be a bit larger."

"I booked a designer hotel right by the lake in Daluoshui Village this time. The butler contacted me in advance to arrange my check-in, and there was a dedicated car to pick me up from the entrance of Daluoshui Village. The hotel is very new, the room had no strange odors, and the amenities were quite comprehensive. The butler, Zhaxi Yangge, provided warm and thoughtful service, and even gave me a souvenir when I left. P.S. The scenery was incredible all three days I was here, and coupled with the hotel's exceptional service, this trip to Lugu Lake was absolutely worth it!"

"The hotel's environment is incredibly serene, and the landscaping is fantastic. Every day by the Walking Marriage Bridge, I'd see elegant black swans, which really brightened my mood! I also participated in the hotel's Mosuo cultural activities. The cultural lecture was lively and engaging, and I even made a unique little souvenir during the hand-printing session. Taking photos in traditional clothing created some truly beautiful memories. I have to commend our butler, Kevin. He sent thoughtful reminders even before check-in and meticulously followed up throughout our trip. His service was absolutely impeccable! The room layout was very comfortable, and the smart toilet and makeup mirror were super practical. The bathrobes were also wonderfully soft. My experience here was 10/10 – I genuinely recommend everyone to stay!"

"Location of the hotel is perfect for anyone visiting lugu lake. Imagine waking up to the view of the lake and mountains. The hotel is also fairly new with beautiful deco and they have prepared many thoughtful things include disposable towels, disposable bath tub towel, free daily afternoon tea and a short photoshoot. The front desk staff 阿文was also very helpful. A couple of things I wished went better: - breakfast: selection was quite limited and mainly Chinese food. Was not an issue for me as I typically don’t take breakfast. - limited toilet paper: unfortunately my husband and I were down with food poisoning during the trip so the toilet paper quickly became a scarcity. - inconsistent temperature in the shower: the shower on my first night toggled between icy cold and steamy hot even without me adjusting the temperature. Overheard from other guests that they had the same issue as well. The hotel thankfully was able to fix it on my second night. - mattress was too hard, and it felt like I was sleeping directly on the floor… unfortunately the hotel didn’t have an option to add on a topper and it really affected my sleep quality during the two nights we were there. However, preference for a softer mattress is personal. Would have been nice if the hotel has toppers prepared for guests who prefer a softer bed. Overall, it was still a pleasant experience and I’d recommend for anyone visiting lugu lake."

"Lugu Lake in the off-season is simply a dream come true! No filters needed, these are straight-from-the-camera shots, and this hotel was such a pleasant surprise! Both the public areas and the rooms have large floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the lake, making you feel like you're right in a painting – so incredibly relaxing! The hotel I picked this time was super convenient, and the terrace was fantastic for photos (P8). There are also plenty of great spots for pictures just outside the hotel, and it's easily walkable to many places. When you're tired from exploring, it's so therapeutic to come back, have afternoon tea in your room, watch the sunset over the lake, and just daydream by the window. The room itself was really spacious, with a balcony, and as soon as you opened the door, you could see the lake. There was also a mini-fridge with drinks and snacks. The bedding felt very comfortable too; I slept incredibly soundly! I'm genuinely, very, very satisfied! Make sure to book a lake view! Breakfast and everything else were also excellent! I'll definitely be back!"

"The biggest highlight of this guesthouse is its lakeside location. Step two meters out the door and you're right by Lugu Lake. Sitting by the lake, sipping tea or coffee, or just staring off into space – I never wanted to leave, which is why I'm a repeat guest. We booked the family suite, which has an amazing lake-view balcony and a spacious living room with massive glass windows overlooking the lake. The room itself is very roomy, and the family suite even has two separate bathrooms with wet/dry separation, making it incredibly comfortable. I also want to commend the guesthouse's service team; the young staff drove us, proactively helped with luggage, and even brought refreshments to our room. Their service attitude was fantastic! Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and you could always ask for more if needed. Highly recommended! 👍"

"The B&B boasts an excellent location with stunning lake views from the window. The Mosuo Museum is right out the back door, offering an effortless way to learn about Mosuo culture. The front entrance is very close to Daloshui Wharf, making it super convenient to catch a 'pig trough boat'. The ladies at the front desk are incredibly warm and accommodating, always ready to help. The breakfast is hearty every day, and afternoon tea and a sweet nightly soup are delivered to the room on time. I especially want to highlight that their private chef's food is absolutely delicious! I stayed in Lugu Lake for 3 days and tried stone pot fish and firewood chicken, but surprisingly, the home-style cooking at this B&B was the most satisfying. I regret not discovering it sooner! "Coming here to play in spring is really great. The hotel is in Xiaoluoshui Village, right by the lake. All the flowers are blooming here, it's very beautiful, the sun is nice, and the climate is pleasant. MMaggieWolframThe room offers an excellent view, directly overlooking the most beautiful part of Lugu Lake, perfect for taking amazing photos with afternoon tea. The guesthouse has three 20kW Nio charging stations, which are free to use. It took me four and a half hours to drive here from Shangri-La, and my car battery was running low. Being able to fully charge here meant I could comfortably reach the battery swap station near the highway to Kunming. The amenities were superb, far exceeding many high-end Hyatt and Marriott chain brands. Although I didn't stay at the Design Hotels across the way, I'm confident this place is better. They even offer free laundry service (not self-service), which significantly relieved a major worry for long-distance travelers.

You can take in the morning mist and evening glow, waking up to a picturesque landscape. The breakfast selection is incredibly rich, with both Western and Chinese options, all fresh and delicious. There are also local specialty snacks available, making for a truly satisfying dining experience. The staff throughout the hotel are absolutely wonderful—warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive. Any requests were promptly met. My stay here was perfect, and this is definitely my top choice when visiting Lugu Lake!

Service: Our dedicated butler, Yang Yang, was available 24/7. Any request was met with lightning-fast responses and incredibly efficient problem-solving. No excuses or hassles whatsoever. All reasonable requests were fulfilled immediately. She was warm, attentive, and felt just like a friend. We had private car service up and down the mountain the entire time, making getting around completely stress-free. The room design was stunning, with a sophisticated Wabi-sabi aesthetic that was perfect for photos. The facilities were refined and comfortable, and the bedding was soft and skin-friendly – just lying down was therapeutic. Opening the window revealed beautiful lake and mountain views; the whole experience was just fantastic! The hotel environment is superb, clearly showing meticulous and thoughtful management. The breakfast was also delicious, and the hotel activities were plentiful. The staff ladies were so gentle and kind; my child absolutely loved them. Although the price is on the higher side, it's genuinely worth every penny. It's already on my 'must-return' list! 💯

The view is unblocked, and we had a nice walk by the lake. There is a cafe beside the hotel which served nice drinks and food. The view from the cafe was excellent, and we would highly recommend paying a visit there! The room had a nice, cozy feeling and a spacious balcony. There aren't many restaurants in this particular town, but the main town is about a 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive from the hotel. However, the hotel is able to provide dinner! They have a several options to choose from like noodles and hotpot, and the prices are extremely affordable! The hotpot was really delicious as well, and the breakfast was scrumptious! In the morning, there will be dew above the waters of the lake, and the view is simply stunning. Overall, we had a really great experience here thanks to the helpful and friendly staff!

A 'transitional option' at just 193 yuan a night for a mist and lake view king room, it unexpectedly became the most heartwarming anchor point of my entire trip, truly helping me understand the slow pace and beauty of Lugu Lake. I arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning. As the car drove into the narrow lanes of Luoshui Shang Village, the outside noise gradually faded, leaving only the gentle lapping of the lake against the shore. The hotel's exterior exuded a minimalist, forest-like quality, devoid of overly commercialized, flashy designs. Instead, it felt like a small courtyard nestled between the lake and mountains, quiet and relaxing. During check-in, the staff's warmth instantly melted away my travel fatigue. There was no rigid, formalized service; instead, they greeted me with the familiarity of an old friend, offered local herbal tea, and even shared the best spot to watch the sunrise the next day. They thoughtfully marked out lesser-known walking trails nearby – every detail spoke of genuine care. Pushing open the room door, I was immediately stunned by the view. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling window directly faced Lugu Lake, the water like a crumpled sapphire. Gamu Goddess Mountain shimmered in and out of view amidst the mist, and the evening glow painted the lake surface a warm orange, with even the wind carrying the crisp scent of the lake. The room's decor was simple yet tasteful, with natural wood furniture paired with soft, warm lighting. There was no superfluous decoration, yet thoughtfulness was evident everywhere: the soft mattress and bedding felt like sinking into clouds, and there were even both soft and firm pillows to choose from. The dry/wet separated bathroom was clean and tidy, and the toiletries had a faint herbal scent, leaving me completely relaxed after a shower. The table thoughtfully provided bottled water and local specialty snacks, and even a humidifier was pre-arranged, perfectly addressing the issue of the high-altitude dryness. But the most healing part was the morning. I was awakened at dawn by sounds from outside the window. Drawing back the curtains, I saw the morning mist gently drifting across the lake like a veil, with distant islands appearing and disappearing within it. A pig trough boat slowly glided by, leaving a gentle ripple. I sat in the chair by the window, watching the sun slowly pierce through the clouds, painting the mist golden. Compared to those thousand-yuan-plus 'influencer' hotels around Lugu Lake, Anxia Mountain & Lake, without excessive marketing, gave me a perfect surprise with its genuine experience. It doesn't rely on flashy gimmicks, but rather uses clean rooms, attentive service, and breathtaking lake views to allow every guest to feel the gentle embrace of Lugu Lake. After this trip, my friend and I agreed that next time we visit Lugu Lake, we must stay here again. It's like a utopia hidden in the lake's light – not noisy, not deliberate, yet it welcomes every distant traveler with the most relaxed demeanor. GGuest UserMy first review on Ctrip is dedicated to Muyu Guesthouse in Lugu Lake. As someone who doesn't like to do much research, I'm always afraid of being misled by online photos before booking. After browsing hundreds of hotels and guesthouses, I finally chose Muyu, which I suppose was fate. The result far exceeded my expectations: the entire guesthouse is decorated in warm orange tones, and every room exudes a cozy and romantic atmosphere. I especially loved the small garden on the first floor—among the guesthouses in the area, only Muyu has maintained its plants so meticulously, perfect for photos and for pets to play in. The short-haired landlady is efficient and warm, with a natural radiance in her conversation. From the spatial layout to the service details, her thoughtfulness is evident everywhere. Even the recommended local restaurants were a pleasant surprise. Lugu Lake is already a paradise worth visiting repeatedly, and Muyu's existence gives this longing a true home. After returning home, Mr. Z was inspired to write a poem for Muyu as a token of his gratitude: Muyu: Emerald green hills creep up the steps at dawn, the reed gates open to reveal a lush dew. Muyu The aroma of beans cooked in the spring fills the house; the cauldron, like clouds, is simmered, its surface shimmering like silk. Occasionally, mountain birds are called to add to the wild vegetables; sometimes, the moon shines on the fragrant cup. The most sentimental is the guest by the abyss, who rises at dawn to simmer a soup of fine, delicate ingredients.

Perched on top of a hill, the decor is simple yet elegant, and the room features smart controls. On a clear day, I could lie in bed and enjoy the serene views of Lugu Lake – it was incredibly therapeutic. The breakfast was also great, with a good variety of dishes that were all beautifully presented and refined. The hotel's restaurant and public areas are stunning, perfect for taking photos. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, and the complimentary pick-up and drop-off service made everything so much easier. Definitely a highly recommended place to stay when visiting Lugu Lake!

GGuest UserThis is the most comfortable homestay I have stayed in during my one-week trip to Yunnan. The decoration is fresh and simple, the room is large, clean and sanitary, and there is a terrace. You can watch the sunrise in the morning and the stars on the terrace at night. It is really comfortable. The boss and his son are very enthusiastic. The uncle also took time to take us around Lugu Lake, especially to Goddess Bay to watch the sunset, and took the Goddess Mountain Cableway. It is really super beautiful to overlook Lugu Lake from the top of the mountain. It is really a super happy travel experience.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located on the lakeside not far from the lake area. The balcony faces southeast. We arrived in the afternoon and saw the beautiful scenery of Lugu Lake. Lugu Lake is quiet and beautiful, just like this hotel and the hostess of the hotel. A girl, enthusiastic and sincere. We thought that afternoon tea was just a cup of tea and a few biscuits. But they had 4 kinds of fruits, French fries and chicken nuggets, and the tea was also a local specialty flower tea. It was very attentive at first glance. There were also desserts in the evening. The rice noodles for her breakfast were much better than those in most restaurants. The hotel is clean, well-equipped, and the hot water in the bathtub is sufficient. It adds a lot of color to the trip to Lugu Lake. I look forward to going there again next time.
