Argosy Casino Hotel & Spa

Every year my company has a party at the adjoining Argosy ******, and I get a room at this hotel so I can drink alcohol and not have to drive home. Every year my company spends a lot of money at this facility. This year, as with every year, our HR depar**ent books a block of rooms at a reduced rate of $149.00 but the rate code did not work online. I called the hotel and was on hold for a long time only to be told they “had no idea what I was talking about” when I gave the person on the phone our rate code. As a manager, I feel I should attend the party, so I decided to book the room on ******* at a much higher rate of $289.17. I used $53.09 of ******* OneKey Cash. When I got to the hotel, they charged me $60.00 for incidentals and a $12.00 resort fee. Now I am into what was supposed to be a $149.00 room for $361.17. When I got to my room at 5:30 PM it was very hot in the room. I turned down the thermostat to 65° to cool the room off. At 10:00 PM after I the party I returned to the room. The HVAC was not working, and the room was the same as when I checked in – still too hot to sleep in. I went to the front desk, and they told me they could send maintenance to look at it "in a few hours". I told the hotel I wanted another room, but they said they were fully booked and that wasn't possible. I then told the hotel I was going to check out and drive back home to which they responded, "OK but you are not going to get a refund". I will never stay at this hotel again.

First, we started out our stay with a very rude receptionist, charging us three times for our room for one night. And then I went to management about it and they told me that it would come off in 2 to 3 weeks. Which is insane to me. Then we go to a restaurant and spend $150 for two people and the food instantly makes my husband sick. The ****** was the only good part. I would not stay here, and I would not eat here.

It was average. Chris**as tree was beautiful. The cafes treats were delish!!!! Cannot get a coffee until 7 (which I was shocked by) half the employees were very kind, the other half were almost rude.

I did not like that the spa was closed during my stay. I was really excited to experience it.

Shower didn’t drain well but room was clean and the staff was Great! No dinner restaurant open except for weekends…

The hotel was so beautiful and quiet. Staff was friendly and professional very welcoming. Very good value. Will stay again

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Was less busy than thought would be on Thanksgiving. Was nice, just busy enough.

I booked with ******* and after booking an incorrect day for check in. I was told I was able to move the check in date to the next day. And stay one night not two. The manager approved it and coordinated with *******. We went to check in the next day by 4 and when I went to check in said there was no reservation. I asked to speak to a manager and he said there was no one around. A manager proceeded to come to the front desk. So not only did the staff lie, nobody was understanding I already got charged for one night and I booked two. I was told I could check in the next day and went to check in. Stated my reservation was cancelled. We traveled 3 hours away and had to travel back because ALL hotel rooms were not available.

We were in MO/KS for 3 nights to visit family. Stayed here our last night just us two…we wish we had stayed there all weekend. Loved it! And for the price outstanding. We will be Bach.
