Good room, great buffet breakfast, swimming pool, unfortunately the wifi did not work most of the time which was inconvenient

Slightly underwhelming experience. 1) Check-in and overall experience with staff: Just OK. No one was at reception upon arrival, but a guy eventually came and he was friendly. A girl at the breakfast area was also quite warm, but other than that, most others don't really interact with guests. 2) Location: It was clear before booking it was slightly off the old city, but there really was nothing within walking distance. No restaurants or shops to get food. One can walk to the old city (~20 mins) but the roads are unpaved and there is no street lighting at night. However, the hotel provides free shuttle service to the West Gate and the train station; very helpful. 3) Breakfast: Small spread but quite tasty. I recommend installing a coffee machine. 4) Amenities: The room was spacious and comfortable, but the water supply was very erratic. The first morning there was no water supply for hours, while the pressure became weak and the toilet couldn't flush on the second morning. Overall, it was quite average, but given the low price, I think it's still OK for budget conscious travellers who don't mind being away from the centre of Khiva.

A good hotel. Spacious room. Breakfast is delicious, but come early, because some dishes run out and aren't refilled. The only downside is the hotel's location, not in the city center, but the free shuttle makes up for it. In addition to the shuttle to Ichan-Kala, we also got a free ride to the train station.

Location: It was a bit far from the touristy are; it took me around half an hour to walk to Itchan Kala and Nurullaboy Palace. Hygiene: The room was kept really clean every day. Specifically, a bathtub was far more hygienic than my expectation. Service: A stuff was helpful, kindly answering every single question of mine regarding the hotel service. However, two of my handkerchiefs were lost during a laundry service. Facility: Gorgeous breakfast room was unbelievable and specific to Uzbek tradition. Meal was also nice!

Pros: -The swimming pool is very enjoyable in 44° weather. -The hotel runs a free shuttle to the old city of Itchan Kala (and will pick you up from there within 5 minutes of calling them). The ride takes 7 minutes (but it takes about 30 min on foot, which makes it less convenient than staying within the old city proper -- but cheaper). -Nice and friendly staff. -Bathtub! (Although weak water pressure) -The mini fridge in the room (first time in Uzbekistan!) was brilliant: makes for much colder water than you can buy anywhere in the country! -Staff very kindly allowed me to stay a whole extra day (before my evening flight) for free! (Low season has its perks) Cons: -Unexplained and lengthy (20+ min) power outages, at random times (but often around 10 pm). I suspect this had to do with their electricity generator. During those outages, there'd be no water in the bathroom either. -Lots of wasps in the garden and around the pool -- no issue while enjoying the pool, but when I explored the garden I bumped into a nest, got swarmed and stung thrice... -Breakfast was included but did not impress.
