Hotels near Pu O Shop in Koh Samui

When booking and looking at the photos on the booking website I used I was very much looking forward to this stay. When I arrived my first impression was I couldn't wait to leave. We were shown to a small dark dingy room but told we could upgrade to a superior room. Thankfully it was much better, but still nothing like that shown on the booking site. Don't get me wrong this place is very inexpensive and in a nice location but it could be so much better. It was dirty, we had to go to Lotus's to get cleaning products. The bed may as well be a sheet of chipboard, I'm not sure there was actually a mattress on it? In the three days we stayed the room was not cleaned, bins emptied or anything. The pool area was dirty, people sitting around smoking ****, coughing and spitting; again the photos on the website make it look awesome - in real life not so Definitely not a boutique hotel. On the positive the desk staff are friendly and helpful.

I don’t often write reviews, but always use them to make choices when looking to stay here. I booked this hotel to stay at for my son’s 10th birthday in January 2024. The room I booked was no refundable, but having read reviews I was happy to take the risk. 2 hours before we were due to travel there we received an email to say that their pool was closed due to unplanned renovations. Let’s be honest, this is the hotels only real selling point and the whole reason I booked it in the first place. Disappointed, we had no choice but to travel to the hotel to discuss things with their team in person. Arriving at the hotel it was a mess, almost looked derelict. Whoever took their hotel photos needs a pay rise, put it that way. It was clear that the work wasn’t unplanned, and in fact had been going on for some time. Letting guests know on the day they travel is obviously a ploy to prevent confrontation. We were told that we had the use of a pool at their sister hotel, 15 minutes away by shuttle. This runs every 2/3 hours. Not the fairy tail birthday I had in mind for my son if I’m honest. To compound things, the hotel refused to refund me my money and I had to pay again to stay at a hotel that was able to provide the facilities it promised. Looking back at the hotel, there were clear signs. They haven’t had a positive review since 2021, that tells its own story. If you are thinking of staying here, please don’t. You will end up disappointed as we were

Hotel location is a short walk from everything. Reception staff are very helpful. Room was very clean, air con worked really well and was quiet. Bed soft and comfy. Very good night's sleep. Great value at a modest 1300baht a night. I just didn't want to leave. Take note: I hired 2 scooters through the hotel from Mr Pong. They were very poor quality. Plenty of scooter hire shops nearby, go see what you get before you pay.

We stayed here for 6 nights. in January 2023. Staff were friendly, respectful, accommodating & wanted to make our stay wonderful. Special thanks to a lady who ensured our room was really special and cleaned. The room was great and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was awesome and an old man was there, paying attention to all the guests. The hotel in ideally located right on a road opposite of Chaweng Noi beach that is very quiet and amazing place to suntan and relax. A seven eleven is near by the Hotel just 10 min walk. it is 100 Baht to take into the town center by tuk tuk. We rent a motorbike from the hotel which was brand new and we did not need to pay for a taxi anymore. The hotel restaurant offers a variety of foods & overlooks a nice pool with lovely setting. I would definitely come back here & would recommend it without hesitation. Thank you Chaweng Noi Pool Villa for an amazing holiday.

Away from the hustle of central Chaweng, so is a good spot to be based for quiet times and used as a base to explore the island. Beachfront pool villas are nice, large and great views of the ocean. Private pool is a bonus and well worth the upgrade. Hotel was busy when I stayed and everyone seemed to be happy and enjoying themselves. The pool isn’t the largest but plentiful for the amount of rooms. Don’t forget, there are the villas with private pools, so a fair number of guests will be in their own area. Access to the beach is not directly in front of the hotel, but that’s a good thing otherwise I would be hearing everyone in front of my villa each day. Access is the side of the resort just past the restaurant. Along this stretch of beach has a few other hotel bars and restaurants to eat and drink in and if you head to the furtherest headland point, and head inland, you will come across a handful of bars and restaurants. As many people have said, the hotel is next to a road - but like most hotels in Samui, it’s just the design of the island. You can avoid the main road for your walk to the local area by going along the stretch of beach. And when you are on the island, why wouldn’t you want to walk along the beach?! So don’t listen to those comments about nothing nearby. If you want the hustle of the nightlife, Chaweng central is 15 minutes away. Get on the shuttle or order a taxi for 300thb. It’s a 4 star hotel, trying to get back to some kind of normal after covid and over time, I am sure the owners will reinvest their money to make improvements where some other guests have commented about in other posts but I do think it is dependent on the room type you book and/or are assigned as most of them are fine. Give it a go, it is worth it. I’ve been to many hotels over the years - more than the average Joe - and it’s only recently where I’ve checked in and out of two hotels on the same day in all these years.

The Weekender Resort is a very nice hotel on the seafront which we really liked. It is well located, in a lively area and close to shops and restaurants. It is very nice to have a small supermarket right in front of the hotel. It is equipped with a superb swimming pool, a restaurant and a bar which directly overlook Lamai Beach. You will also find a gym, a sauna, and private parking. Masseuses are available from morning until evening to give us a massage on the beach. We stayed in the villas with private pools. The room is spacious and clean. Bottles of water are available in the refrigerator every day. It has good bedding, air conditioning and a large bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. The swimming pool for private use is out of sight. It is pleasant, you can turn on the fountain and the jets for a jacuzzi area. Secure sliding doors open directly onto the hotel swimming pool and then onto the beach. The staff is smiling and very professional, very available, they intervene at the slightest concern, which we really appreciated. We liked being able to rent scooters for our stay directly at the hotel and without paying more. We were able, thanks to this, to go around the island and see everything there was to see and visit, it was great! The only downside: the treadmill broke down throughout our stay and the quality of the breakfast needs to be improved even if the pastries are excellent! There are too few choices and all the more so if you don't eat meat...Too bad! It is not the image of the hotel and the smiling and invested staff who work there! We will definitely come back anyway! From the moment we arrived at the resort, we received the best service and assistance. The room was very big and spacious with big windows for lots of natural sunlight. The resort is right on the beautiful Lamai beach with sun loungers to chill and enjoy a drink. The area is very peaceful and perfect for unwinding. The resort has a massive swimming pool and a beautiful dining area outside. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this resort!

The best thing about this hotel is the staff! They work so hard and handled any problems we had the best they could. The hotel does need updating, We were allocated a Mountain View room, you could just see it behind all the wires and busy road, we upgraded at a cost to a sea view, it was worth it, the view was stunning! The room was comfortable and clean, as much as I tried not to, I couldn’t help but flood the bathroom, the water runs along the bath and straight to the floor! Breakfast was nice and again the staff were really on the ball, the service was faultless! In reception there is a pond that runs all around with several koi carp in, we brought some fish food from one of the pet shops and fed them every morning (there is food behind the desk if you want to fed them) The beach is lovely, Despite the place needing updating and a few repairs I would stay here again, we had a lovely holiday in Lamai.

Great location. We walked along the beach, this section is the best. The staff is responsive. Breakfast overlooking the sea is amazing. Plus it's pretty tasty. The mattress was tired, but the pillows were excellent. The pool is clean and good. Upon request, they brought a second blanket. The downsides are a tired mattress and a shower that flooded the entire floor in the bathroom. Just the whole thing. But the view from the window covered this minus. We asked for a floor other than the first floor and it was given to us. The bungalow did not seem very comfortable, but our room with a sea view was beautiful. Ready to return to this hotel. The pharmacy just around the corner is expensive, go a little further to the left. The pizza is delicious at the night market near the river on the right about 5 minutes.

When we arrived at Ko Samui airport, the transfer service from the hotel worked perfectly. We received a very warm welcome at the hotel and were given our room straight away. The room (Grand Deluxe Room) far exceeded our expectations. It's less of a room and more of a small apartment without a kitchen. The hotel complex is absolutely paradisiacal. Lots of beautiful plants and very well maintained. The beach was amazing, the most beautiful beach we have seen on Ko Samui (we explored the whole island by motorbike that we also rent from the hotel). The sea - turquoise blue clear water. The great thing is that it is a private beach so only accessible to hotel guests and therefore not overcrowded. The food was fantastic. There is a very large selection and there really is something for everyone. The pool area directly on the beach with an included pool bar is very beautiful. And the cleanliness of the whole hotel was excellent. What particularly impressed us and what we have never experienced on our many trips... was the warmth and friendliness of all the staff. Everyone was always helpful, funny and good organized. Friendships developed in this short time, for which we are very grateful. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for what you have done for us. You gave us a wonderful honeymoon and organized such a beautiful candlelight dinner that we will never forget in our lives. We can wholeheartedly recommend the Fair House for couples, families and singles. We look forward to being with you again soon. Big hugs Andi and Sabine
