My recent visit to Renaissance Kuala Lumpur was for a short staycation following new year holiday. Being the Platinum Bonvoy member, the hospitalities that I received were top notch, especially from the front office team, lead by Hazura (Zura) and supported by Bernice, Hami, Khalis and Khadijah. Check in process was super smooth as it was handled very well by Zura. Room design is per standard modern design 5 * Star hotel, with some fresh interior look. Suite room was spacious with a decent living / TV area. The standard king Bed room is also good, with sofa bed provided. The plus point for this hotel, of course being the talk of the town, it's huge pool and playground areas for kids! To family with kids, this is a great hotel to stay considering their pool and playground areas are one of a kind. Plenty of water slides at the pool, also spacious playground area available with rock climbing activities (chargeable and prior booking is required for rock climbing). In summary, I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a short staycation closer to KLCC area. Thanks very much to the following Front Office Staffs for the hospitalities during our stay. Pros - Location very good, walking distance to Twin towers and shopping mall (* other shopping mall or aquarium via Grab) Cons - Hotel beside Malay Cemetery.... you can see clearly from the big window - room chair no wheels, need to carry if moving around or scratch the floor, another wooden chair is quite heavy also no wheel - WIFI not stable - TV program very limited and a lot of snows flakes (not clear), if you need to see more program need to rent video recorder (if not wrong) - Toilet flushing very slow - need to ask for shaver and comb upon request but only shaver given. - hotel breakfast not many varieties, both days almost same items * book thru Trip.com stated 2 adults but hotels insisted only ONE name shown in their system so only give us 1 breakfast for 1 room (2 days), i requested to combine 2 different date breakfast as 1 day but not allowed. so i have to pay for 2 breakfast (RM40/person). The next day i shown the booking ticket from trip that stated 2 adults clearly to the reception admin but she doesn't accept and ask me to call Trip to check... * if not wrong, when i reserved the hotel thru Trip.com didn't ask me for second occupancy name. * close to 1 hr taxi from airport to hotel

Would like to complement the lobby receptionist ms aida, she is so helpful & friendly! Her nice attitude make u feel really want to visit this hotel again! Will come again! Everything is nice, strategic location within short distance walk. Maybe can add on more signage as quite confuse during check in. Parking with flat rate rm10 per entry is consider reasonable!

So far the best customer service I’ve experienced in a KL hotel. Concierge and reception particularly were just exceptional. Wet Bar, Woodbar and Willow staff were equally fantastic. The food at Willow and Wet Bar were excellent and Woodbar had Ramadan food which looked very nice. Gym and pool had good views and well laid out. I will definitely be returning. Brenna at reception, you made me feel like a well loved guest. In addition the location was great.

The location was not bad, around 5 minutes walk will reach a monorail station, 10 minutes will be able to reach Pavilion Mall. Free parking was available for the cars, and plenty of lots was available even around the Christmas day, so no worries for those who drives. Just remember to get an QR code from the receptionist before exiting. They do provide complimentary breakfast every morning. I stayed for 3 days, first morning was kind of bad, everything was very cold and not refilled on time and empty food trays could be seen. Second morning was better. Taste wise, not very authentic, Nasi Lemak taste like normal rice. But since it’s complimentary, better than nothing I guess. And remember to get the toothbrush kit from the receptionist, they only gave you upon request.

The room was lovely, well decorated and laid out, and the bed was huge and the mattress comfortable. The pillows were just right - THANK YOU! The central bedside console for controlling the lights and aircon was nifty, though we couldn't work out how to totally dim it at night so had to throw a towel over it. The aircon had several modes which worked really well. All the room anenities were just right - iron, fridge stocked with drinks, gowns, welcoming bowl of fruit. The hotel gave us 3 free pieces of laundry daily, which was very usefulnand much appreciated. The laundry service was expensive - unfortunately par for the course for most hotels - but Hello Laundry, conveniently down the road, offered an excellent alternative service. Free breakfast was included, and the fare was simply amazing (see pics). There was something for everyone, you won't leave feeling hungry! Many chefs were busy preparing right in front of you, the waitstaff buzzed around like bees, and the head chef and manager were ever present. Great personal service, not a single person made us feel unwelcome. The check in service was fluid and welcoming, and the concierge and doormen helpful. Overall, a great stay.

This is an excellent spot for those looking for a cost-effective choice while in KL. Super nice facility with extremely clean bathrooms and common areas, as well as large individual capsules for rest. Staff was super nice and accommodating and gave me a bottom bunk bed even though I didn't request it. Also the fact that there is 24/7 concierge is huge for travelers that get in late at night such as myself. Located right next to a 7/11 as well as an in house cafe, I was well stocked and fed for my long days out in the city. Absolutely worth it.

It's like staying in an Air BnB. We had a whole 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment to ourselves. The apartment came with plates, utensils, a microwave, convection oven, refrigerator and plenty of toilet paper. The AC worked well and the kids enjoyed watching Mr. Bean on whatever streaming service they had. The location is hard to beat. The other hotels in the area are super fancy and super expensive. The only concern was some signage in and around the building as to the legality of short-term leasing and home stays.

Overall my stay in this apartment had fulfilled my minimum expectation, in terms of location & facilities, I’m quite happy with it. In term of service I’m disappointed. I waited for more than an hr to check into my room. The person in charge collected 200 RM deposit on my first day of my stay, but yet to get the refund till now. I hope the person in charge will do the refund soon.
