Lots food area 😋 Kyoto to osaka rapid train 580 yen about 30 mins travel time . No need for the bullet train save your money. I used jr railpass last year a waste of money . 15 mins travel time thats differences. Location of the hotel is excellent. It is just right by Kyoto station, making it extremely easy and convenient to not only visit all the major sites but also to travel interstate via the Shinkansen. Hotel is modern Japanese theme is absolutely stunning both from the exterior and interior. The hotel room is also very luxurious (and big by Japanese standards), with a beautiful spa-themed bathroom that is a joy to come back to after all the exploring. For breakfast, you get a choice of either Japanese (kaiseke style) or western/intercontinental. Both choices were delicious (but If I had to pick only one, I’d go for the Japanese one). Gym was also very decently equipped and there is a spa/onsen within the hotel. Overall, I would return here again for another stay when I’m back in Kyoto! ❤️

The hardware are well maintained. The restaurants provide great food. The breakfast at Cafe 33 is great but limited in variety given the price. The Italian restaurant trattoria sette provides great pizza and pasta. The location is quite convenient given its proximity to Kyoto Station, thought it’s a bit far from Kawaramachi. During the day, the counter is staffed by Chinese people who are very good at communicating with us on various issues. Their English is pretty good, not to mention Japanese. I think they look more Japanese than others😝 The rooms have basic facilities and are much larger than ordinary hotels. The toilet and bathroom are separated, just like living in an apartment suite in Japan. I will choose their system when I come to Kyoto in the future.

It is a location that can be accessed by subway from Kyoto Station ２ station to Jujo Station in ２ minutes (if time is right, free transfer bus can also be used from Kyoto Station). We were able to stay at a price of about 10000 yen per night at the time of the autumn leaves where the accommodation fee was high. Because the surrounding area is a residential area, I think you can spend quietly. The living space is large while a business hotel, and the facilities are clean because it has not been opened yet. The bath in the public bath was comfortable, and the breakfast was rich and delicious in Kyoto. It was a pity that the emergency bell rang in the time zone of the check-out and there was ”motsuki” in the staff response (perhaps I think it is an emergency bell misoperation).

When I booked this hotel, I didn't have a single comment. I was very nervous at the time, and I had a try mentality. Unexpectedly, the room did not disappoint me after coming to the hotel. Why is this hotel? It's about 20 minutes walk to Fushimi Inari. To go to the first shrine in the empty time zone around 4 in the early morning, the land is also important. There are few parking lots, and the room is normal (business hotel level) I've been eating soba for two consecutive years (free) for two consecutive years, but last year was good ‼️ breakfast is hard and sushi rice is hard and complaining. I wonder if I will go on New Year's Eve ⁉️

A hotel that can give a full score 💯, the room type from small to large can almost meet the needs of all travelers; there is no problem with bringing children. The location is 1.2 kilometers south of Kyoto Station, so you can walk there; all are flat roads, and you can drag a box. There is a parking lot next door, I don't know whether it will charge or not. The breakfast was just right and it was very comfortable. PS One problem: the non-slip pad on the mattress is not very stable and will run away.

Love the staff! Love the decor! Love the mood and ambience. Most of all, I love that we were not charged any surcharge for checking in early (unlike almost ALL hotels in Japan). Each room came with a vinyl record player and you can borrow vinyl records from the receptionist. This is a really cool and stylish hotel. The only setback is, like ALL hotels in Japan, the bathroom and room are quite cramped but if you're used to hotels in Japan, this is not a problem. Space is a luxury! :-)

There is a private paid (1000 yen) parking lot just north of the hotel. It is convenient because the car can be in and out on the way. I stayed ３ for a single on the eight floor in a 9-story hotel. The service from ６ in the afternoon is great. What a free rice and miso soup. The accustomed guests brought a little side dishes in advance and were eating. ８ from the month to the service only on weekdays. The room is independent air conditioning, the floor is flooring and carpet. A slightly hard and comfortable bed, WIFI is fast and comfortable. The number of outlets is also enough. The tea service was equipped with coffee, tea, cups and glasses, and even a tea spoon that was only more than a luxury hotel. The bathroom is unit type, and the bathtub is a little more legs, but (a little luxury?) Mineral water １ this service is unnecessary. The microwave oven and ice are in front of the front desk on the first floor, so it is also suitable for consecutive nights. Breakfast is ５００ yen. From the richness of the contents of the menu, it is quite reasonable. It is a hotel full of services that is best rented bicycles (paid but cheap) for sightseeing in Kyoto.

I recently took a school group of 18 students and 4 teachers to Japan and we stayed at the Sparkling Dolphins Inn with in Kyoto. The students and staff absolutely loved staying at this inn as the rooms were very comfortable and clean. The futons were cosy and the air conditioning was very welcome in the heat. Each room was very clean and towels were replaced every day. The real joy in this inn is the owner, who was absolutely amazing! He was very engaging and welcomed our group warmly. On days when we had an early start, he arranged a takeaway breakfast for us to enjoy - even playing a prank on a few students by putting a sweet potato in their Brekky bag 😂 When one of my students became unwell at night, the owner went out of his way ti assist us - calling local medical centres to find one with a short wait, then organising a taxi for us. His hospitality was very appreciated! On our last day at the inn, the owner gifted all of us a copy of a group photo we had taken together at the front of the inn, and gave the teachers a box of Kyoto rice crackers. His service was so thoughtful and caring! I will definitely be booking Sparkling Dolphins Inn for my next school trip as our whole group agreed that we loved our stay there!

The hotel management let us down in the last 15 minutes before we left although everything was good before then. We checked out 15 minutes earlier at around 9.45 in the morning and loaded our luggage to our car at the hotel parking space. Just walked away, a man rushed to us and yelled at us without showing his identity: ‘Did you park your car there? You must go now!’ We said that we were the hotel guest and asked who he was. Reluctantly but still not showing his name badge, he said that he was the hotel manager (what a hotel manager!) and insisted we must drive away immediately. Very unset to a hotel guest who was allowed by its staff to park their car the night before to be greeted by a manager like that, right? Going back to the hotel front desk to settle the trouble, the man remained arrogant, did not apologize and just kept saying ‘you CANNOT park the car’ without mentioning why we COULD in fact park our car there overnight. (Why it was permitted by front desk staff? Why was there no sign and no block there? Why no one called to our room and explained if it was a breach of hotel regulation?) When we said as a hotel guest we should still have the right to park the car before checkout time which was 10.00 am, the man seemed not figuring out what our argument was and, most ridiculously, as a hotel manager to greet guests all over the world, he did not know what the words ‘courtesy’ and ‘polite’ mean. Fortunately we just stayed at Chisun Premium Kujo for one night in our 7-day trip in Kyoto. It was a totally different experience when we stayed at 俵屋旅館and Gate Hotel the following days, which was an authentic Kyoto experience to a frequent Kyoto traveller like us. As management in our own company, we reassure that, from Chisun’s experience, training to manager is much more important than to junior staff. Very often it is the management, not frontline staff, who irritates customers and ruins the company’s reputation. We had the man’s business card at last but are not going to show here. Hope the hotel management can train their staff professionally in the future.
