This was my first trip to Kyoto and there are many options for hotels. I was having trouble deciding exactly where but Good Nature turned out to be an excellent choice because: 1. It's right downtown - a few minutes walk to two subway stops - you'll use the subway to get to good attractions like Inari, Nara, Kiyomizu 2. you are also within walking distance to Pontocho, Gion, Nishiki markets 3. There were 3 of us so we had 3 individual beds - in a standard room and despite this being 28m2 the layout of the room is very good. Of course, if you want the deluxe room it's much bigger but it will cost a lot more 4. Managed to score a trip.com 36% discount (for 5 nights) which was a no-brainer (we just got the room only) - pay for buffet breakfast if you must (plenty of Starbucks around if that's your thing) - I did book the first night separately direct through the hotel website though as the trip.com offer didn't extend for 6 nights 5. The room was very clean, the staff were very friendly and explained everything. 6. Buffet breakfast was a good selection of Western and Asian choices. The restaurant was very clean. The prosciutto was amazing!

We couldn't have stayed in a more amazing hotel while in Kyoto. From the first moment we stepped in, we were greeted with hospitality. Every staff member we encountered was respectful and extremely helpful. Our room was well appointed and had more amenities than we could use. Not to mention, the private in room onsen. This was the whole reason we chose this hotel and it did not disappoint. The water was refreshing and you could really feel the healing effects. As for the meals that the hotel provides... I must say both the Japanese set and Western set breakfasts were delightful and had many options. The fresh ingredients and the diligence of the dining staff were impeccable. We felt truly valued as guests. It is safe to say that I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in Kyoto. We most certainly will be back!

The location is excellent and right in the downtown of Kyoto but not in the front street which will be too crowded and noisy, still there were some noisy from the restaurants and bar nearby which still played loud music even after 12:00AM, so not ideal for those people who needs total silence to sleep. This is probably the necessary evil when live in the downtown hotel, but the hotel is already in the back alley so felt a bit better. Cannot consider the service top quality since the hotel front desk is located at 8th floor, and there is only one person tending the luggage at ground level till 6PM, so no service can be offered at ground level, this is the part can improve since some of the high floor hotel do have ground floor service crew unless in a big commercial building complex. The room is nicely decorated and everything feels new, no complaint about the room. Although the breakfast is a bit disappointed given the very limited selection of foods and Japanese style breakfast can only offer limited number (25 serving per day?), this part can definitely make some improvement, at least inform the guest about the limited number so we can book in advance.

The room was very very nice! Don’t mention the 13 square meters shown on the introduction, it should be at least 50 square meters. There are guest rooms, rooms, and bathrooms are separated. The toilet is on the other side. All are covered with bamboo mats. It is very comfortable and clean, and the white socks are not stained with dust. When we arrived, the bath water had already been placed in the pine wooden tub, and everything should be put in a place where we could easily get it. There is a faint woody fragrance in the whole room, which is so healing. The service is very thoughtful and meticulous, even if you don't understand the language, you can also dance and communicate. The most memorable thing is that his food is so delicious, it is the most worthwhile hotel in Kyoto. The proprietress is very kind, and will definitely stay here again

Booked 3 nights in Kyoto and decided on Forza Hotel Shijo Kawaramachi. Check-in was swift but the lady staff could not speak much English, though. The room was not very big and opening up 2 big pieces of luggage was quite challenging but manageable. There was a mini fridge but no safe deposit box. I like the access to free hot beverages in the lobby area. The location of the Hotel is great! It's right in the middle of the shopping street. There is an Exit 11 from Shijo Station that is right to the Hotel (a distance to walk, though) The famous Nishiki market is just a 2 minutes walk from the Hotel. Lots of shops and eateries near the Hotel. Across the road on the short distance right, you can catch buses (at the Bus Stop) to many sightseeing spots within Kyoto. Though this was not my original choice of Hotel in Kyoto, I found the stay in Forza Hotel cozy and comfortable. In fact, I love it! Will I stay at Hotel Forza Kyoto Shijo Kawaramachi again? Of course!

It is the stay at Mitsui Gardens Hotel which is ３ times in Kyoto since entering this year. There was a concept in each hotel of the hotel, and this time it was a collaboration with the temple. Also, the goodness of the cospa is very attractive, and it is also happy to issue a coupon of color 々 when staying overlapping. This time I used a coupon of ”breakfast free”. It is also a service that makes you want to use. Overall it is compact and there are no group guests, so you can spend very quiet and calm. There was also a lounge service and a large bath, so I was able to relax. It is a short walk from Shijo Kawaramachi Station, but it is very quiet because it is one from the main street. The gion Festival started on the day, and I was able to encounter the procession of Ochigo. Another reason I chose the Mitsui series hotel is ”breakfast to enjoy”. It is characterized by the hotel, and this time I had a Japanese food called ”Sangha Chirashi” on the plate. I am glad to be so concerned. Then the staff were very kind. After checking out, I noticed that I forgot to umbrella in the room, and when I told the front desk, I responded with a smile and went to take it immediately. This time I couldn't participate in the morning work of jokyo Ji Temple, but I will definitely participate next time.

This hotel live up to its name, super hotel. It has super location, next to Nishiki Market and Shijo Kawaramachi bus stop and Kawaramachi Hankyu railway station. The hotel staff is very friendly, attentive and helpful. The breakfast is Buffett style with many choices of breads / pastries, soup, side dishes and drinks. There is also free drinks 6-8pm. The hotspring is the icing on the cake, really good to relax the muscle after all day walking. Definitely will stay here again when visit Kyoto

My husband and I stayed here for two nights during our stay in Kyoto. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend this Ryokan. From the moment we arrived we were made feel so welcome. The room was spacious and the beds on the floor were comfortable, even at four months pregnant I was comfortable. My husband and I both took advantage of the Onsen bath onsite which was lovely. The location is fantastic right beside the Nishiki Market, there are so many restaurants nearby. We had breakfast onsite one morning and would absolutely recommend doing this at least once. It was absolutely delicious and one of the highlights of our trip to Japan.

Staff: limited English, but very friendly and accommodating Room: great Japanese home setup (ie tatamim mats during the day, futon beds at night). Clean toilets and fresh towels. Extras: Onsen only available from 15:30 to 00:30H. I wish there’d be longer opening hours. No breakfast or dinner included (which I thought was standard for “ryokan” style accommodation). Overall, good stay!

Because there was a cheap plan for [Kinki 2 Fu 4 prefectural people limited]. It would have been because it opened at a severe time of self-restraint, the room was a very new impression. The lobby and restaurant have a higher feeling than business hotels.

The bathroom is small but wet and dry partitions, the full body massage shower is very comfortable, can relieve the fatigue of a day of storms. The location is quiet, you can go shopping in five minutes to buy and buy 😊 The Michelin one star pig and one ramen opposite the hotel are worth queuing up, don't miss it

The photos both here and on booking do not do this hotel justice. It was so much more pretty. I stayed in much more expensive ones in Kyoto and yet I will 100% return here. The rooms are so beautiful, clean, cozy and cute, especially the tatami/japanese style ones. The bathroom was beautiful, with a separate toilet and separate bath and shower (and everything looking brand new). The staff is very kind and the location is simply perfect (and I had a great veiw of Gion from my window).
