It's awesome! The rooms are large, with sea views, close to the beach, the environment is beautiful and clean, the rooms are fully equipped with microwaves and utensils, and there are many tables and chairs. Breakfast was generous and parking was free around, but parking spaces near were not easy to find. A boat ride to Benagil Beach is also easy.

Thoroughly enjoyed our second visit to Vila Vita, it's a wonderful hotel, and we found more things to enjoy. For our family it was perfect as there are so many activities to do - pool, beach, sports, health club, children's holiday club, relaxing. There is wide range of on and off site restaurants, which are all great. The rooms are very comfortable and the family room with an extra bedroom and garden terrace suits us to enjoy our evening while our children sleep. And finally you are looked after extremely well and in great comfort.

Where do I start?! This place is extremely special, from the moment we arrived we felt relaxed. Andre took us and our luggage to our room which was outstanding, very clean, spacious and quiet. Andre then took us to see some of the hotel which was beautiful, Andre and all staff went the extra mile and we’re very friendly. The hotel is maintained to a high standard, the gardens are gorgeous, nature was everywhere which was lovely, and it was clean every where we went! I honestly don’t know how anyone could fault this place. Highly recommend!

I stayed here for a week the room had a problem with shower toilet headboard and glass partition on balcony none of the above bothered me as I still found the hotel to be basic but alright, however I am gluten free, whilst they had special guests stopping they couldn't cater enough so first three days where brilliant, when the special guests checked out the gluten free bread cakes and quasisnts were no longer an option the gluten free sausages were also not an option, I asked staff which were rude and said if have issue raise with reception, I found it easier to buy my own bread for the rest of the holiday and just have beans from the breakfast buffet, would have definitely recommend to coeliac friends and family however seems they can only cater when they have special guests which is ashame

First impression of the hotel were good, perfect location for us at the top of Carveiros main road near restaurants but far enough away to not be noisy. Reception and restaurant look to have all been recently decorated, nice and light decor. However I wouldn’t recommend the hotel for the reasons below - $40 for safe - $20 for safe cost and additional $20 deposit which you get back when you return the key. Our room keys didn’t work so had to go back to reception for that then when we got in the adjoining doors were locked so back down to reception again for those to be opened up. The rooms are very very dated and look dirty in parts. The plug socket by the bed buzzed and crackled so I unplugged it all holiday. The pressure on the shower was great however the bath didn’t drain very well and the hairdryer was really poor. The thing that spoiled the hotel for me the most was the 2 cleaning ladies, they did their job well but they were so rude, never smiled seemed angry with us if we weren’t ready for our rooms to be cleaned when they came - and it wasn’t like we were awkward as we were out and about from 11 every day and left the sign on the door to let them know. One day we were out from 9 on a trip came back at about 4 and they were cleaning our rooms, glared at us and told us to go away. Towards the end of our holiday my heart would sink if they were on our corridor. I usually leave a fairly decent tip for cleaning ladies when we’re away but not this time. On a positive note the breakfasts were really really nice, good selection all fresh and well presented and the hotel also has an indoor pool which was useful for us as we had a couple of cloudy days although this area too could do with a lick of paint and a bit of basic maintenance on cracked tiles and to be generally freshened up which it looked like the spa area had had already. I don’t think the hotel is a 4 star and based on the rooms would struggle for 3 star. Carveiro is lovely but I would not stay at this hotel again.

From engaging activities for children to family-friendly dining options, every aspect of our stay was tailored to our needs. The hotel even offered serene spaces for parents to relax while keeping an eye on their little ones, striking the perfect balance between tranquility and family-friendly amenities. Furthermore, the attentive and friendly staff added to the overall sense of relaxation. They were always on hand to offer assistance or provide recommendations, and their warm and genuine hospitality made us feel like valued guests. Beyond the hotel itself, the surrounding area offered plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and exploration. We took advantage of the hotel's proximity to nature, embarking on leisurely walks and hikes that allowed us to connect with the peaceful surroundings. It was the ideal way to escape the hustle and bustle of the work world and reconnect with nature.

My wife & I stayed at the Vale d’el Rei for 4 nights in early October. We visit the Algarve around twice a year and I have to say this is one of the best if not the best hotel we have stayed at in our many visits. First of all, the grounds the hotel sits in are extensive & immaculately kept. There are 2/3 pools, the main pool is salt water and heated during the colder months and is perfect for swimming in. There are enough sun beds, of good quality, to go round & we never once saw beds being reserved by the “crack of dawn brigade” Breakfast is served around the pool area & is a buffet style with plenty of good quality hot & cold options and all overseen by a very efficient & friendly staff who are constantly clearing, cleaning & replenishing food. A wonderful start to each day. We stayed in a suite, which was amazing value for money. It consisted of, an entrance area, a bathroom with overhead shower, a lounge with balcony off & a bedroom with a gigantic comfortable bed with good quality bed linen, double wardrobes with plenty of hangers and a safe that you didn’t have to pay extra to use. If there is a negative & I would have to search very hard for one, it’s that it’s a little remote. Although the hotel does provide a shuttle bus that runs into and from Carvoeiro several times a day. I would recommend you had a hire car which we always use when we visit the Algarve. This tiny negative would 1 million% not stop us visiting again & I have already enquired for our stay in 2024. There are relatively few buses in the Albufeira area, so it is still suitable for self-driving. The hotel has free parking, and the receptionist at the front desk is very enthusiastic and meticulous, introducing the surrounding attractions in detail. The size of the room is suitable, but the ventilation system is not very good and the room feels damp. The breakfast is very good, including fruit cake, smooth eggs, yogurt, etc., very rich.

Go to the Benagil cave, about 10 minutes by car. The whole hotel is similar to a small resort. It was a bit similar to the one I stayed in Las Vegas. The living room is very large. I did not try the restaurant and the pool. The front desk was very welcoming and cost-effective.
