Best Hotels in Lancefield

We don't usually stay in this type of accom, B&B type. But this was a terrific surprise. Such a charming old style place with so much room, even though you only have a bedroom within it (inc ensuite). Hosts Kate and Peter terrific, not invasive and yet very attentive to guests needs. You felt like you had the run of the whole place. All the facilities and items you need are all their, at you leisure. Breakfast in dining room at your time always available and well stocked. Room facilities modern but with old charm, nice having an old radiator heater, good for towel drying. Tv and wifi great too. We are converts to this style. Probably not well suited for young children however.

The office staff were very helpful. A very basic motel having the monopoly over the entire Town of Kilmore. The room was clean but lacked a calming atmosphere. The lighting is very poor and on request asked for a table lamp as trying to put makeup on for an evening out was near impossible. A lamp was bought to the room. Breakfast was provided basic cereal and bread for toast but not nearly enough milk for tea and coffee and X 2 cereal. Tiny amount of honey and margarine placed in recycling jars. Room prices appear to be reasonable but these are standard out dated double beds. Not Queen. Next step up is King which we chose. Well over priced for a regional country town. We were given a better rate than online but still consider that pricing too expensive.

Great stay at a cozy hotel pub in a beautiful town. The in room breakfast supplied was not fancy, but set us up for a great day of exploring woodend. The banana bread was particularly good. The room was clean and spacious, although there's only a room divider provided to separate the bathroom with the shower/bath, so dont be surprised. We didn't need it, but if you're shy or sharing with friends be prepared.
