City of Dreams - Morpheus Macau

9.7/10
Excellent

Summary: Next time I'm in Macau, I'll definitely stay at Morpheus again. Facilities: The Morpheus boasts a unique architectural style, with a lobby and elevators that feel incredibly futuristic. The hotel also features exhibitions and a rooftop pool, making it perfect for a staycation. The smart home devices throughout the room are super convenient, and the toiletries are Acqua di Parma, with a long-lasting scent – I'd give them a solid thumbs up. Hygiene: The room's cleanliness was impeccable, spotless and tidy. Public areas like the lobby, shopping mall, and corridors were also very clean. Environment: There's a bus stop just a short walk from the entrance, and shuttle buses and taxis are also readily available. Service: At check-in, I was offered a welcome tea. I was then personally escorted to my room, where the staff introduced all the room's features. The entire process was thoughtful and attentive. When checking out and collecting my luggage, staff members immediately approached to offer assistance. P.S.: The mini-bar offers a rich variety of drinks, beer, snacks, instant noodles, fruit, and almond cookies – perfect for a late-night snack. Turndown service was proactively offered, and even when not requested, essential oils were provided.

Hotel Okura Macau

This was my first time staying in a Japanese-style hotel. The decor was simple, and the front desk staff were very enthusiastic during check-in. It's an excellent choice for families with children. They provided red wine, kids' snacks, and fruit in the room, and all the drinks in the mini-fridge were complimentary. During our stay, the staff noticed we used eye masks, and the next day they thoughtfully provided another pair – such a considerate touch! Plus, it's super convenient for Water World, right on the second floor, and the kids had an absolute blast! Highly recommend for families.

W Macau - Studio City

9.4/10
Outstanding

Here's a summary of guest reviews for W Macau: it's a 'party-centric' five-star hotel with an excellent location, trendy design, and generally outstanding service, though occasional issues with details and peak-hour check-in experiences are noted. ✨ **Key Highlights** * **'Cheat Mode' Location & Transportation**: Situated within Studio City, it's walking distance to The Parisian, The Venetian, and The Londoner. Don Don Donki and a food street are right downstairs, and it's adjacent to the Light Rail station, making travel, shopping, and dining incredibly convenient. * **Trendy 'Cinematic' Design**: Opened in 2023, the facilities are brand new. The design blends W Hotels' trendy vibrancy with Studio City's cinematic flair. Rooms are often praised for being spacious, clean, and photo-friendly. * **Stunning Views & Hardware**: High-floor rooms offer views of the Parisian Eiffel Tower, Studio City's '8'-shaped Ferris wheel, or the city. Rooms come equipped with Dyson hair dryers, Bluetooth speakers, and typically feature generous space for bathtubs and showers. * **Dining & Surprise Services**: Breakfast (at 'Tzitzina' restaurant) is diverse and frequently commended. Many guests mention free room upgrades or receiving surprise amenities like birthday cakes and wine. ⚠️ **Things to Note** * **Inefficient Peak Check-in**: The most common complaint is excessively long wait times for check-in, with some guests even having to wait for room cleaning past 3 PM. * **Occasional Service Flaws**: While service is generally enthusiastic, there are negative instances (e.g., anniversary mix-ups, perfunctory remedies). Some guests feel the value for money is just average. * **Detail Tips**: Deposits require Alipay, credit card, or MOP/HKD cash (RMB and WeChat Pay are not accepted). For those with high cleanliness standards, you can request a deep clean in your remarks. 💎 **Summary** This hotel might not be ideal for those seeking traditional luxury and extreme quiet. However, if you're a young couple, friends traveling together, or a photography enthusiast who values stylish design, a convenient location, and abundant entertainment, it will be a perfect fit. It's advisable to avoid peak holiday periods or be prepared for potential check-in queues.

Lisboeta Macau- L’OCCITANE Themed Stay

9.2/10
Very Good

This is a relatively new hotel in Macau with excellent and modern facilities. However, the location is a bit out of the way. It's about a ten-minute walk to the Light Rail station, and the MT4 bus to the old town stops right in front of the hotel. For trips to the airport, I'd recommend taking a taxi. Pros: The service was great, and the room facilities and decor were very nice. The desk had a standard Chinese power outlet, and the bedside outlets even came with international adapters. All the bath products were L'Occitane. However, even in this room, I couldn't escape the typical southern humidity. The pleasant scent of the L'Occitane toiletries couldn't quite mask the damp smell. So, I'd advise setting your expectations accordingly; L'Occitane products won't solve the issue of a musty odor in the room.

Overall, my stay was quite good. The hotel is centrally located in Taipa, within walking distance to Rua do Cunha, with easy access to public transport and dining options nearby. The room design has an artistic touch, it was clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable to stay in. The only downside was the front desk service: during check-in, I encountered a female staff member with darker skin who was wearing headphones. When I asked her a question, she gave a perfunctory reply and her tone was impatient, which really soured my first impression. I hope the hotel can strengthen its training for front desk staff regarding service standards. Everything else was satisfactory, and the value for money was decent.

My stay at YOHO The Macau Roosevelt was absolutely fantastic! The hotel's overall design has a Hollywood retro-chic vibe, creating an atmosphere that's both elegant and relaxing. 1. **Views and Environment:** The most stunning aspect was definitely the view! The sunset and dusk glow, whether viewed from near the hotel or from the room, was simply breathtaking. The colorful light reflecting on the sky and water, coupled with the expansive city skyline in the distance, made for incredible photo opportunities! 2. **Surroundings and Dining:** The hotel's location is super convenient, with a plethora of excellent local eateries nearby. During my stay, I got to savor some authentic local cha chaan teng (Hong Kong-style cafe) delights, including a scrambled egg and French toast combo with iced milk tea. I also checked out the famous old-school 'Mok Yi Kei' (dessert shop), truly experiencing the vibrant local flavor and culinary charm of Macau. 3. **Service and Facilities:** Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly and polite. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable bedding, allowing for a truly restful stay. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The views, environment, and surrounding convenience all exceeded expectations, offering excellent value for money! I'll definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Macau!

Grand Coloane Resort

9.1/10
Good

The property is made for those looking for a laid back and relatively quiet vacation. Great for families with kids and elderlies. Wheelchair access was satisfactory from entry, to passage through the lobby, upstairs rooms, and outdoor gardens, pool and promenade, which was our favorite. The seaside paved path was breezy and shaded in the morning. The connecting rooms (1 king bed & 2 twin beds) were huge. 4 people can stay on the floor of 1 room all at the same time and still be able to move around with plenty of space. The toilet and bath were spacious too. The outdoor pool is not very big but was good enough, the indoor pool is small. Tennis courts are good but a bit far to get to and tricky with stairs. Bring supplies for snacks and beverages if planning to stay in. No shops nearby for a gum. The 5-min taxi ride to Coloane Village was worth it with its charming old town vibe, and cafes, including eggtarts/pastries from Lord Stows. Eat cantonese dishes with seafood options at Comidas Va Kei. Their grilled chicken and salt & pepper corn were delicious. Paid about 400HKD for a meal for 6.

Waldo Hotel Macao

## Location: Absolutely a fantastic 5-star location! The hotel is directly opposite Sands, and Fisherman's Wharf is right next to Sands. March is the off-peak season in Macau, so there's no direct bus from Hengqin Port to Sands. You need to transfer at The Venetian, but it's still quite convenient. From Sands to the hotel, you have to cross a pedestrian bridge, but there's a 24-hour elevator. Once you exit the elevator, it's not a long walk in either direction, which is very helpful for travelers with luggage. ## Surroundings: To the right of the hotel, there's a small alley that leads directly to Macao Polytechnic University, less than 100 meters away, making it super convenient for students taking exams there. A 5-minute walk to the left will take you to the Lotus Square, and you can also see the Golden Lotus from the pathway behind the hotel. If you head right out of the hotel and walk straight down the main road for 15-20 minutes, you can reach the Grand Lisboa and Macau Tower. There are plenty of dining options nearby, probably due to its proximity to the university, with choices for all budgets. ## Facilities: The hotel reception is on the second floor. The interior facilities are complete, and the bedding and amenities are good. The room also has a refrigerator. The room isn't huge but doesn't feel cramped. ## Hygiene: The room was cleaned very well and felt comfortable. However, the windows are sealed, so upon first entering, there was a slight musty smell due to lack of ventilation. Thankfully, it dissipated after turning on the air conditioning and ventilation system. ## Environment: The hallway soundproofing isn't great; you can hear people walking and talking outside the room. Traffic noise from the street outside also comes through at night. However, this seems to be a common issue with hotels and can't be avoided. ## Service: The front desk staff are busy but very responsible, and they can switch between Mandarin and Cantonese freely for guests. A deposit is required for check-in, and Alipay is accepted.

The location is key, with a nice surrounding area and a bus stop nearby offering routes to various places. It's an established star-rated hotel; the grand and luxurious lobby clearly shows its former glory. The price was acceptable for the summer holiday period. Room facilities and amenities were well-maintained, the bedding was clean and tidy, and the service was good. The breakfast area was also pleasant, with a sufficient variety of Chinese and Western options, and the food was decent. Staff frequently patrolled, promptly refilling items when they ran low. Staying for two nights, it was a satisfying holiday experience.
