"We had a wonderful stay at Skygate Hotel Ximending. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the front desk staff were always warm and helpful. One of the little touches we really appreciated was the complimentary snack and beverage station. The hot drinks were delicious, and there was a nice selection of free snacks available throughout the day, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a great experience with excellent value for money. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Taipei."

"Had a great stay at Midtown Richardson Hotel in Ximen from 29 August to 2 September 2026. The location is definitely the biggest highlight. The hotel is right in the heart of Ximending, making it extremely convenient to explore the shopping streets, restaurants, cafés and night market. Ximen MRT Station is also within easy walking distance, which made getting around Taipei very convenient. The room was comfortable and clean, and the overall stay was pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance. I also liked how convenient the hotel was after a long day of sightseeing — plenty of food and shopping options are just steps away. Overall, a great choice if you want to stay in the Ximending area, especially for first-time visitors to Taipei. Would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Taiwan! 🇹🇼"

"Some parts of this hotel needs serious upgrading and should not be used until repairs are done. I am disappointed that when I asked for a room with a window, i was thrown at the backmost part of the hotel where ventilation is so bad, molds are growing on the ceiling. The room was harshly lit, no soft light nor night light for sleeping. The lobby was nice, but no power sockets to plug your devices so you can work. Staff are helpful and friendly. Location is perfect. I wonder if this is the kind of room deal they give to those who use Trip.com."

"My sister and I had an amazing stay at Wonderwall. The hotel provided everything we needed for a comfortable trip, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a hair dryer, complimentary snacks, coffee and tea, a clothes steamer, and even free laundry facilities—all included in the room rate. Our room was spacious enough for two people and featured an ensuite bathroom with hot water and a smart toilet, making our stay even more comfortable. The hotel’s location is another major highlight. Situated in the heart of Ximending Walking District, it gave us easy access to shops, restaurants, and attractions, allowing us to explore the vibrant commercial area with ease. What truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the wonderful staff. They all spoke English, so communication was effortless. Everyone was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and always willing to help, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. We highly recommend Wonderwall to anyone visiting Taipei and would definitely stay here again."

"I dont know if it’s mold or just dirt (black color) on ceiling and curtains. The don’t give water everyday. There’s only 1 elevator going to basement and it takes time so get ready to use the stairs if your bedroom assigned is in basement. The breakfast is simple. "A cozy common area at the third level to have snacks and drinks. You can watch street performances there too. Room: Comfortable bed, but the blanket cover keeps going out of place. The room is small, with a window but without a view. Room toilet: Elderly friendly toilet, but not that friendly to children because the handle blocks them from using the tap themselves. Automatic flush is easy to use. No hand soap provided. No bidet. Facilities: Old facilities like the toilet door handle are easy to come off, the refrigerator is hard to close properly, and there is a sunken floor in front of the toilet. Location: a good location with a lot of eateries and shops, near to the MRT. Service: good and polite."

"Unfortunately, two full days of our stay were declared typhoon holidays, so we couldn’t go out to explore the city. Thankfully, the hotel has a cozy lounge on the 5th floor that offers complimentary snacks, coffee, and tea from 1:00 p.m. until midnight. It was a wonderful place to relax and unwind instead of staying in our room all day. We also really enjoyed the daily breakfast, which offered a delicious variety of food and was consistently excellent. Take the Exit X5 elevator to reach the hotel."

"There’s a lot of noise (loud music) non-stop from 1 pm to early evening from a dance studio downstairs. My bathroom had a strong smell of old urine. Perhaps an issue with the drain. I don’t know if I was just unlucky this time, last time I stayed at this hotel my room didn’t smell. Other than these things the hotel is good. Friendly staff, good location, big rooms."
