As I was traveling by bus the next day, I looked for a cheap place with no meals included and within walking distance of the hotel and bus stop.
The toilet and bathroom are shared, so I thought it might be difficult for people who like cleanliness.

We booked a triple room, which was a bit small, but the bathroom was quite spacious. One bed was a comfortable 1.8 meters, while the other was a smaller 80 centimeters. The hotel is very close to Place d'Italie, which has multiple metro lines, making it super convenient for getting around. Behind the hotel, there are several restaurants, including a good Chinese restaurant with reasonable prices. They even held our luggage for us after check-out, which was a big plus! 👍

The Louvre Museum is an awe-inspiring testament to human creativity, history, and culture, offering a truly unforgettable experience for art lovers and casual visitors alike. Nestled in the heart of Paris, the museum itself is a masterpiece, with its iconic glass pyramid entrance juxtaposed against the grandeur of the former royal palace. From the moment you step inside, you’re swept into a vast labyrinth of galleries that span centuries and continents, housing over 35,000 works of art. The most famous, of course, is Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, and while the crowd around it can be intense, seeing her enigmatic smile in person is a rite of passage for any art enthusiast. But the Louvre is far more than just that single painting. The richness of its collection is staggering—whether you're gazing at the monumental Winged Victory of Samothrace, standing before the Venus de Milo, or marveling at the dramatic canvases of French Romanticism, the museum constantly surprises and captivates. Each wing of the Louvre unfolds like a different world: the ancient Egyptian artifacts transport you to a civilization thousands of years old, while the Islamic art wing showcases breathtaking tilework, calligraphy, and design. What truly makes the experience exceptional is how seamlessly the museum blends its immense scale with intimate moments—quiet corners where you can pause before a lesser-known masterpiece and feel as though you’ve discovered a hidden gem. The layout can be overwhelming, so first-time visitors might benefit from choosing a thematic route or guided tour, lest they get lost in the endless corridors. Despite its size, the Louvre maintains an incredible sense of curation; the lighting, spacing, and presentation of each artwork feel purposeful and respectful. Facilities are well-maintained, with cafes and rest areas offering welcome breaks during a long visit. Staff are helpful and security is professional yet unobtrusive, ensuring that the artwork is protected without hindering the visitor experience. Visiting during early mornings or late evenings often makes for a more peaceful experience, especially if you're hoping to linger in front of popular pieces. Ultimately, a trip to the Louvre is more than just a museum visit—it’s a cultural pilgrimage. It invites you to reflect not only on artistic genius but also on the evolution of human civilization itself. Whether you spend two hours or an entire day there, the Louvre leaves a deep impression that lingers long after you exit its doors.

Location is alright, it’s abt 5mins walk to metro station. Takes about 20mins metro to Louvre. Receptionist is really nice she explained everything really well. We booked for two nights, but the air conditioner was broken and we only only borrow fans from there. They promised to get someone fix it for us the other day, but it remained unfixed the other day as they responded they do not have the piece to fix it. They offered free breakfast the other day to compensate. The room we moved in was narrow for three person, narrow walking space, could be inconvenient to fully open up a big suitcase

There were no slippers or water in the hotel room. I expected these. The hotel was comfortable. When I went down for breakfast there was almost nothing left to eat. So I had to have breakfast outside.

The hotel is very large and has its own restaurant, located on the banks of the Seine. Once you enter the Chinatown archway, you will see the hotel area and a parking lot.
The interior is decorated in Chinese style. The rooms have balconies and disposable supplies: toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, water, etc. As for the standard small refrigerator and safe of a four-star hotel, they are also available.
The restaurant area and the guest room area are together, and the Chinese food cooked by Chinese chefs is authentic!
In addition to Western breakfast, there are also porridge, small steamed buns, flower rolls, hot soy milk, hot milk, fried noodles, etc., which are very suitable for Chinese stomachs.
There are many Chinese employees in the hotel and restaurant, so there is no problem communicating in Chinese!
Worth recommending!

The staff was friendly and helpful. Even after checking out, I was saved when I was walking around the city by having my luggage kept.
The room we stayed in is also easy to cook with refrigerator, microwave oven and mini kitchen. (Although the fire power of the electric stove is quite weak)
The water was clean without smell.

First off, the hotel is brand new, but it's a bit hard to find, and the location isn't ideal – about 600 meters from the subway. There are supermarkets and convenience stores nearby, but not many dining options, so it feels a little out of the way.
The service wasn't great, especially from a long-haired woman with a slightly darker complexion at the front desk. She was quite unfriendly and impatient with us, which left a very bad impression. When we returned to the hotel at night, she was there again with a young man at the front desk. We wanted to add breakfast, and she directly told us: ”We're very busy right now. Can you come back tomorrow?” Sorry???
Aside from this attitude from the staff, everything else was pretty good. They really need to improve their customer service training.

Actually great hotel for reasonable price. At first entrance throw us off looking plain and old, we almost missed it, but when we entered the place we were pleasantly surprised by the nice atmosphere and fresh welcoming look coupled with the pleasant receptionist. Room was really nice and clean and climate control was working really well. We weren’t disturbed when being in room and every time we came back we found room put together nicely. Staff were really welcoming and location proved to be great. Really nice experience

Great
邦邦民promiseI’m having a vacation in Paris with my family and booked a room for 3. The room is big enough for us to put our luggage and it’s also so clean and tidy. The staff is so nice to answer all our questions. The best thing of this hotel is that it’s only 1 min away from the metro station, that’s so convenient. It’s also close to many tourist attractions such as the Eiffel Tower👏🏻I would definitely recommend this hotel to who would like to stay a few days in Paris!
GGuest UserThe hotel is located a bit away from the city center, but it is conveniently connected by direct metro lines, so getting around is still easy. The Deluxe Tower View room offers a clear view of both the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, and being able to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks from the room was truly amazing. However, the breakfast selection was quite limited and almost the same every day, which felt a bit repetitive during my five-night stay.
GGuest UserWe had a lovely stay at the hotel. It was clean, the staff were very friendly, and we absolutely loved the pool. The beds were also very comfortable, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
The only downside to be aware of is the soundproofing. If you’re a light sleeper, you might notice noise from neighbouring rooms and outside, likely because it’s an older building with some echo. That said, we were so tired from our days out that we slept really well and it didn’t affect us at all.
The location is perfect, with the metro, restaurants, and coffee shops just around the corner. And being so close to the Arc de Triomphe was amazing!
Overall, we had a lovely time and would happily stay again. ✨
AAlb33It was a lovely staying after Christmas and wonderful location for tourists. The room is relatively big and very comfortable, you’d have a tiny modern kitchen with cutlery, water boiler and hob as well as a fridge. Not to mention the blackout curtains did the job! We had a very good sleep for 2 nights :)
The receptionist was very kind and helping! He recommended a restaurant called ‘Au Relais’ for lunch nearby and it turned out absolutely amazing!!
At last, we really enjoyed the coffee machine in the lobby so cheap and convenient!
GGuest UserIn Depth Experience Report of LYF Gambetta Hotel Paris - A Genuine Guest's Pleasant Surprise
Introduction:
As a frequent traveler who has stayed in numerous hotels across France, choosing the LYF brand this time upon a friend’s recommendation was a completely new experience. As a first time guest of this brand and someone unfamiliar with this particular area of Paris, I documented my stay with an entirely objective perspective, and it turned out to exceed expectations.
Facilities:
The hotel is brand new, and while there was a faint hint of paint smell in the room (likely due to recent renovations), the overall facilities are thoughtfully designed with a youthful, practical, and distinctive style. My base room was around 20 square meters—already significantly larger than other Parisian accommodations in the same price range. According to the website, the hotel also offers family friendly options with kitchens, loft style rooms, and more.
The complimentary bedtime tea was excellent a well known French brand also sold at Lafayette ,perfect for unwinding at night. The coffee provided wasn’t quite to my taste, but it was still decent. The basement level (B1) features a laundry room, entertainment area, gym, co-working space, and meeting rooms, all uniquely designed. Notably, there’s a shared kitchen fully equipped for guests to cook their own meals ,a fantastic amenity!
Service:
It’s clear that the hotel’s opening team is still in training, and while some staff members appeared slightly inexperienced, their dedication was evident. Every request I made was promptly addressed. One employee, Helana, stood out-when she noticed I seemed unsure in the laundry room one evening, she proactively approached me, asked if everything was alright, and offered a solution. The next day, I observed her energetically assisting other colleagues. When I complimented her, she humbly replied that she genuinely enjoys helping others and even shared useful insights about the hotel’s facilities. Another front desk lady (whose name I regrettably forgot) was consistently warm and smiling, resolving my queries with kindness and even granting me a late checkout. Outstanding service like this truly minimizes travel hassles and adds delightful surprises to the journey. Impressed by LYF’s service, I decided to extend my stay by five more nights for a deeper experience.
Safety & Transportation:
Some had warned that this district might not be the safest, but my stay proved otherwise. The area is well connected, just a five-minute walk to the metro and feels like a residential neighborhood with an artistic vibe. One night, I returned to the hotel at 3 AM via night bus and walked back without issue, as the streets were still lively with people chatting or on dates. The area is both tranquil and culturally vibrant.
Dining:
Plenty of supermarkets and restaurants are within easy walking distance, making dining options convenient.
Booking Recommendation:
Ideal for travelers seeking an ”authentic local living” experience, young families, or digital nomads. The base room offers great value, while longer stays may warrant upgrading to a kitchen equipped unit.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. Considering its location, price, safety, facilities, and service, it stands out as the best I’ve experienced in Paris. While not the most luxurious, it’s undoubtedly a unique space that lets you feel the pulse of the city. My stay was so enjoyable that I’ve decided to book another five nights after returning from Nice. I’ll share an update after my second stay!
GGuest UserCheck in was straightforward and the room was very nice and modern. Comfortable beds and all expected amenities available inclusive of kettle and coffee machine. The one thing which tarred the experience was one evening their was no hot water. The staff was unable to fix on the night which resulted in us having to take a lukewarm shower which wasn't very pleasant. Staff did try hard to compensate at end of the stay but we had pre paid and didn't want to stay for a drink as needed to get off to next destination.
The staff in fairness were very friendly and our little one did enjoy the table football.the breakfast could have had a bit more variety of more hot food choices and fresh fruit. However we did enjoy the egg station.
AAnonymous UserOverall, it's pretty good. The location is excellent, right by the Eiffel Tower, making it convenient to get anywhere, and the metro station is very close. You need to bring your own slippers and toothbrush as they are not provided. My room didn't have a view of the Eiffel Tower. They said they couldn't guarantee it, and some rooms do have a view. I always feel like I won't be assigned a good room. I wonder who gets those rooms with a view of the Eiffel Tower.
UUncle HsiungThe room was incredibly spacious and comfortable, and the location couldn't be better – right across from the North Station, with a metro entrance just outside. It was literally a two-to-three-minute walk from the Eurostar platform. The staff were diligent, responsible, and friendly. One time, I needed to print something at midnight, and Harold on duty immediately helped me out – a big thanks to him! The only downside to the hotel is the poor soundproofing. My room was next to a large room that could sleep five people. Luckily, out of my seven-night stay, there were only two nights when someone was next door: once it was a family with two crying children, and another time it was a group of young people…
RraulmozosuarezI had a wonderful experience at Hôtel Lebron. The location is absolutely perfect — just a short walk from major metro lines, shops, and charming cafés in the 9th arrondissement. It's an ideal base for exploring Paris.
The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and stylishly Parisian. My room was well-appointed with everything I needed, including a cozy bed, modern bathroom, and strong Wi-Fi. The daily housekeeping kept everything spotless.
The staff were truly the highlight of my stay. Friendly, professional, and always willing to help with directions or recommendations — they made me feel very welcome.
Breakfast was fresh and enjoyable, with a variety of options to start the day right. I appreciated the quiet atmosphere at night, which allowed for a great night’s sleep.
I would definitely recommend Hôtel Lebron to anyone looking for a pleasant and convenient stay in Paris.
AAMAKA SPARKLEVery horrible hotel for black female travellers.
I stayed at the Originals with my friend for 3 nights, then another 2 nights. We pre-booked and paid for the 3 nights in FULL before arrival.
Upon arrival, we were charged a deposit of €150 Euros which was explained to be a security deposit to be returned after checkout.I had no issues with that and focused on exploring Paris.
There was a day my room wasn’t cleaned and I complained to a mixed lady at the hotel reception politely to inform the cleaner and she condescendingly looked at me and blurted “I’m not the cleaner”. I never asked her to be one, I only informed her so she can tell the cleaners to make a stop at my room and refill the shower gel, replace soap and toilet paper.
The day I checked out, I missed my flight due to the Paris traffic and had to reschedule my flight to the next available date which was in 48 hours which meant I needs to stay in Paris for another 2 nights. I headed back to the hotel.
I don’t know why but our cards refused to work despite being funded. We had some Euros cash left in cash and paid for one extra night.
The next day, we asked to extend but our cards wouldn’t work. We informed them that we needed to get some sleep but would try an ATM or go to a BDC to change some Dollars.
In between, the cleaner came to the room and yanked off our key card cutting off the light supply, we were barraged with calls from the reception threatening that security was going to escort us out of the room.
It’s wild because most of their staff is black and yet they treated us like ****.
We saw how white guests were treated and black guests and the difference was clear.
Maybe they had an assumption and became discriminatory towards us.
Note that 4 nights out of 5 was already paid in FULL and they had a security deposit of over 200 Euros with them.
We had to abandon everything and rush to an ATM to withdraw more cash💰 to pay for the final day.
Let’s not get into the fact that one of their staff ******* almost tried to be ****** with me.
I got into the elevator to go and get water at the restaurant on the 8th floor, he kept looking at my boobs and made suggestive comments about wanting to spend the night with me. He also insisted on a hug.
I cried from the experience of that hotel and very horrified. As a travel content creator, I will document my experience with videos when I’m back home and share YouTube videos. If you’re a Nigerian or black woman, please avoid THE ORIGINALS. I was excited to be here but it turned into a nightmare.
As a business owner myself and CEO of 3 thriving companies, I saw some many lapses in their customer service. The entire place needs a staff overhaul.
