"The service was excellent, I arrived at 5am in the morning from Singapore, and although there wasn't any room available for early check-in, the staff was kind and nice to offer me free breakfast. And knowing I am tired from the travelling, they gave me the room at the earliest. The room is great, the breakfast is fantastic, would highly recommend to anyone coming to Mexico City."
"We had trouble accessing the internet on arrival and it took quuite awhile for their tech support to correct. We weren't alone but eventually we got access.
Coffee in the room is a challenge as only one day during our 5 night stay did we get regular coffee to brew in the room. The other days it was Nescafe decaf instant. The staff were very accommodating, the room was clean, and the pool was a welcome oasis after walking around all day."
"The staff and reception were very friendly, and the food at the breakfast and cafeteria was delicious. Also, the tourist sites are close by, so I highly recommend it! The only downsides were that the internet connection in the room was poor, and there was no refrigerator."
"Really great location and the pods provide privacy and there are lots of social events at the hostel. Breakfast is good, quite a few options. Good views of the cities.
Only downside is that there isn’t a laundry and the kitchen facilities are super basic, mainly just a microwave and plates and cutlery."
"Checked in on the 21st and checked out on the 24th. I wanted to check out a day early because I had a flight to catch on the 24th and there was a big strike in Mexico City, but the hotel wouldn't agree no matter how I tried to negotiate, which left a bit of a bad taste. Overall, the hotel was just okay. Breakfast was mediocre, the coffee was bland, and there was nothing particularly outstanding about it. Perhaps its only redeeming quality is its proximity to the Zócalo."
"The room was clean and the location was excellent, right in the city center. Syntagma Square is just a 5-minute walk away, and the hotel is right next to a metro interchange for lines 1 and 2, making getting around very convenient. However, the hotel facilities are a bit basic; there's nothing extra. The lobby has a few tables where you can eat food you've bought before heading upstairs. I was initially worried about the lack of air conditioning, but the weather here is quite cool, so it wasn't a big issue."
"A conveniently located hotel in the heart of Mexico City. Easy access to walk to main attractions and multiple restaurants. A great buffet breakfast offered in the hotel restaurant. Room was clean, comfortable, and maintained daily. The staff were extremely helpful in assisting us with booking day tours. We visited during Fifa World Cup and Mexico City did a fabulous job hosting the events. The city was lively and decorated nicely."
"The room was really nice, although it got a bit warm, the aircon machine was hard to modify.
Everything was very nice, front desk very kind and helpful I recommend this place."
"This is the second time to stay at this hotel. I traveled to Mexico six years ago and was deeply impressed by this old hotel. . . The internal environment of the old hotel is impeccably beautiful, but the facilities in the guest rooms are too outdated. The security scope of the gate square has been ”expanded”, and it is not very convenient to get in and out to call a taxi~"
"Hotel in a good location to go anywhere in the historic district.
It was a room that did not feel oppressive even though the ceiling was high and narrow. The bed was unusually high.
The bathroom step is also high, so I had to make sure I didn't fall inadvertently ... I was nervous.
Amenities are shampoo and soap.
There is no treatment, so if you need it, I recommend bringing it. There was a hair dryer.
I was worried about the smell of the exhaust port, so I made it clean 4."

AAnonymous UserOne problem with all holidayinn brands is that the management of the hotel has a lot of room for improvement. When the room is cleaned every day, someone will come and knock on the door many times and ask if there is a room cleaning, which is very poor management.
The location of this hotel is in a more prosperous place in the city center, the transportation is very convenient, and it is convenient to take a taxi for daily travel. It is convenient to eat around and walk safer.
GGuest UserI recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. We arrived quite late, around midnight, but the staff were accommodating and made the late check-in smooth and hassle-free. Security was present at all hours, which made us feel safe throughout our stay.
The apartment itself was modern and very well-equipped with all the utensils and facilities we needed, making it easy to prepare meals and feel at home. Everything was spotless and smelled wonderfully fresh the moment we walked in.
Overall, I’d highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a clean, secure, and comfortable stay with great amenities and friendly service.
AAhmed AwwadI recently stayed at the Sheraton Maria Isabel in Mexico City, and overall, it was a good experience. The best thing about this hotel is definitely the location—it’s right on Reforma Avenue, next to the U.S. Embassy, so it felt very safe even though there were some peaceful demonstrations happening nearby related to rent increases and the current situation in Mexico.
The room was spacious and comfortable, but it did feel a bit old and outdated. The bathroom floor had some cracks, which wasn’t a big issue but worth mentioning. It could definitely use some renovation in the future.
On the bright side, the breakfast was really nice. Good variety, fresh options, and great service.
If you care about being in a central, secure area with decent amenities, this hotel is a solid choice—just don’t expect a modern, freshly renovated space.
AAnonymous UserAcceptable room price. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Suggest to add electric water kettle for each room.
Better maintain stable room price on weekdays and weekends.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a good location, the staff are generally friendly, the facilities are average, and the price is reasonable. Things to note: [1] Choose a room facing Liverpool Street. Otherwise, the sound from the nearby bar is deafening and you won't be able to fall asleep until 4 a.m. [2] The staff basically only speaks Spanish. Bring a translator. Otherwise, it will be impossible to communicate.
__wfo0****Overall, the value for money is great, and the service attitude is excellent. The room looks clean and bright, and the large window offers a nice view. It's also very convenient for getting around, with a supermarket and restaurants right downstairs. The only thing to note is that there are quite a few steps at the entrance, which can be inconvenient if you have heavy luggage, and the bell staff don't proactively offer help.
OOlivia LozaExcellent location! Walking distace to main avenues and transportation points.
The staff was very friendly and helpfull at all times.
the room was spacious, with individual unit (heater/AC)
Some rooms have jacuzzi, you need to request it at moment of reserving a room.
The hotel offers buffet breackfast(for extra charge)
All and all, good value gor money
I will stay there again here when visiting CDMX again .
LLiuxiaoxin™The location of the Youth Hostel 🏨 is excellent. Located in the center of the city center. Don't be too convenient to go to the surrounding museums! Breakfast is included from 8 am to 10 am. In addition, a Margaret cocktail coupon will be given on the first day of stay. Going to the rooftop bar on the sixth floor is really not too pleasant. At my request, I arranged a lower bunk bed for me. Luggage can be stored for free at the front desk. The 15% discount coupon given at check-in is more cost-effective than going to a fast food restaurant. The five-story leisure area and self-service kitchen can be used to filter water references. too convenient. Full score recommendation 🇲🇽
HHaidezhexueThe hotel is in a very good location, and the Independence Column is just a few steps away. However, the hotel is very old, and the rooms are very old, almost like those in the 1990s. The breakfast is in cooperation with the restaurant downstairs, which is a very distinctive Mexican restaurant. However, there is a main road downstairs, and the noise is a bit loud. The air conditioning is centrally controlled and cannot be controlled in the room. However, the room is large, with a separate kitchen, microwave and refrigerator, but it cannot be turned on. The price-performance ratio is OK. It is not recommended for travel and vacation
