"I booked this hotel last minute the day before my trip, so I didn't have high expectations, especially considering the price. But it turned out to be pretty decent! I arrived at 8 AM and paid 600 baht for an early check-in. Plus, there's a rooftop pool, which was an unexpected bonus and great for photos!"

"My family of six stayed at Vela Be Bangkok Ratchathewi for three nights (3 rooms) last week, and we had an enjoyable experience overall. We have no regrets choosing this hotel. The location is very convenient, about 700m from Ratchathewi BTS Station. There are plenty of eateries, 7-Eleven outlets, and massage centres just outside the hotel, all within easy walking distance. The room was clean and of a decent size. Basic amenities were sufficient. However, it would have been more convenient to have a kettle in the room, instead of needing to go down to the lobby for hot water and using the microwave. During our stay, the hotel shuttle service was not operating for four days due to the driver being unwell, which was slightly inconvenient. The reception staff were pleasant, polite, and helpful throughout our stay. Would I return? Yes. I would also recommend this hotel to other travellers. It offers good value for money at approximately USD 43 per night, especially considering its location and cleanliness."

"I had an amazing stay at Pratunam Family House 2. The staff were very kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The location is perfect—it’s within walking distance of Platinum Mall, Pratunam Market, and many restaurants and convenience stores. I felt safe throughout my stay, and the service exceeded my expectations. For the price, this hotel offers excellent value. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bangkok."

"The hostel is decent, but I really can't stand not being able to hang laundry. Having to gather all the dirty clothes to wash them together just makes them smell worse. There's even a designated drying area on the balcony, so why can't we use it? I like to hand wash my clothes every day to keep them clean and fresh. The owner should really consider this."

"My stay at the Asia Hotel in Bangkok, an older downtown hotel, was quite pleasant. While the facilities show their age, the place was clean and comfortable overall. The bedding was soft and made for a good night's sleep, though the only minor drawback was the slightly noisy air conditioning. The location is definitely the biggest highlight. It's right next to the city's BTS Skytrain, making it incredibly convenient for shopping in the Siam area. Plus, there are 7-Eleven stores at both the front and back entrances, so grabbing snacks and daily necessities is super easy. The alley behind the hotel also hides several authentic local eateries, which really enhanced the dining and exploring experience. The front desk staff and housekeeping were friendly and attentive. All in all, it offers great value for money, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bangkok for shopping."

"Vela Be is in a great central location, just a short 10 minutes walk to nearby National Stadium BTS. Very convenient to travel to your intended itinerary spots, by BTS or by Grab. Simple breakfast is included in the price. The room is simple, no frills. There is a TV and safe, but no cabinet to store your clothes. The soundproofing is bad though. You will be able to hear doors closing and people talking in the corridors. There is a pool but it is quite small. Adequate for a short visit to Bangkok. Not much interaction with the staff beyond check-in and check-out."

"For the price, the place was excellently located near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai. I was able to use public transportation to and from the airport. It was also very close to the train station (one block away), and near shops, restaurants, markets, etc. The staff member who assisted me was always very kind. I definitely recommend it."

"Our family stayed in two rooms with balconies on the 9th floor (the lowest residential hotel floor). We had a pleasant city view, though higher floors might offer a better one. The living room and bedroom were spacious, the beds comfortable, and the linens nice. We didn't have bathtubs in our rooms, even though we expected them from the photos. The soundproofing was good, but the air conditioners were very noisy, even on the lowest setting, which could be disruptive. Housekeeping was daily and high-quality. There are only two elevators, so we sometimes had to wait a while. Breakfast wasn't included, but we tried it twice for 400 baht. It was generally varied, with European and Thai options, and quite tasty. However, there are many alternative dining options in the area for that price. The pool is quite large, and the water isn't chlorinated but seems to be acidified with something – I'm not sure what it was, but everyone seemed fine after swimming. We specifically chose this location, so everything was satisfactory, with the metro just a few steps away. We might consider returning next time."

GGuest UserGood as always! Though no shopping mall near the hotel, there’s 2 restaurants and 7-11 nearby. It’s only one stop from T21, and a few stops from Dusit Central Park and One Bangkok. It is also very quick to get to the airport via the airport line. I personally find it a good choice to stay in bkk with such a budget price yet enjoying a good service.

AAnonymous UserMy overall experience at this hotel was excellent. The check-in process was quick and efficient, handled by friendly front desk staff who provided great service. The room was clean and comfortable with a well-designed layout. The bed was soft and provided a good night's sleep, and the bathroom was spotless and bright with a full set of amenities. The overall environment was very relaxing. All in-room facilities, including the air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and TV, worked perfectly, and I encountered no issues during my stay. The hotel's public facilities were also very well-maintained. Whether it was the restaurant, gym, or lounge areas, you could tell they put a lot of effort into their operations. The breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh food, catering to different guests' needs. Moreover, the hotel boasts a convenient location, close to transport links and commercial areas, making it ideal for sightseeing, shopping, or business trips. All in all, this stay left me with a wonderful impression. Not only was the accommodation comfortable, but the staff were also professional and enthusiastic, making for a very pleasant experience. If I have the chance to visit this area again in the future, I would definitely choose this hotel again and recommend it to my friends and family.

코코군This was my first trip to Thailand. I wasn't sure where to book a hotel, so I searched on Trip.com for a good deal and found the Ramkhamhaeng Hotel, located in Ramkhamhaeng, which is about halfway between the airport and the city center. At first, I worried it might be inconvenient since it's a bit far from the train station and major tourist attractions. However, once I got used to Bangkok, the distance didn't feel like a big issue. Still, if you prefer a hotel closer to the station or in the city center, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. As for the hotel itself, it was excellent. The pool on the 31st floor was great for a night swim, and having a 7-Eleven on the first floor was very convenient for any urgent needs. I stayed for three nights and was very satisfied with the facilities; I had no inconveniences. If I visit Bangkok again in the future, I would definitely consider staying here again.

GGuest Userit was an AWESOME STAY but location is a little hard to find at first. overall place was clean and people were friendly! toilet was CLEAAAAN. there is also a communal hairdryer it works pretty well. at night there is a fish auction i think. therefore, walking to 711 at 3am is pretty safe. personally as there is more people there late at night i feel it is safer. it is located beside the fish market so if you're sensitive to smells it might not be suited for you. there is also an ATM nearby. The BTS and pier is also near the hostel therefore transportation is prettty solid. lots of common areas to do your work! rooms are pretty soundproof as well! i did NOT encounter much mosquitos surprisingly! i had a mosquito bite like 5 times throughout my stay. i did not wear insect repellent at all! able to put your own food in the common fridge. shoe locker is also provided! there is also a locker to put all your stuff. there is luggage space but it is in the common area and the door is easily accessible. please do buy a lock for your luggage bedding is GOOD, mattress is GOOD, pillow can get uncomfortable though, not much neck support. a really good seafood buffet located beside the hostel! overall, i would DEFINITELY COME BACK! loved my stay there. if you're not bothered by fish smells this is probably the place for you!

AAlexTannThis hotel was the last stop on our trip to Thailand. Compared to The Nai Harn, it felt grander and more business-oriented, which was evident from the breakfast spread – definitely geared more towards business travelers. We stayed on the executive floor, though it wasn't an executive room itself... which I found a bit odd. The hotel's decor has a retro, old-fashioned vibe, making it feel less like a holiday retreat for me personally. However, these weren't major issues. The staff's service attitude was consistently excellent. The main pool was quite busy, possibly because two youth football teams were staying there, so there were lots of people playing and having fun. It was still a good experience overall.

GGuest UserThe hotel service is excellent, with a complimentary shuttle boat to the Sathorn pier. If you want to go to ICONSIAM, it's only 12 baht, with round trips every hour, which is very convenient. There's a Ferris wheel night market nearby that's great for strolling around. The hotel provides tuk-tuks to take you to the night market anytime, allowing you to enjoy it as much as you like. The hotel's location is superb, making it easy to get anywhere. They offer airport pick-up and drop-off services; booking these in advance yourself is much cheaper than booking a taxi online. The hotel staff are very welcoming, and I had a very comfortable stay. If it's your birthday, the hotel even provides a small complimentary birthday cake. Exploring the night market and taking a cruise on the Chao Phraya River at night was a wonderful travel experience.

SSS05Holiday Inn Bangkok: Perfect Solo Weekend Retreat Near Emsphere I recently spent a relaxed long weekend (just over two nights) solo at Holiday Inn Bangkok, right next to Emsphere mall. As an NRI zipping between Hong Kong and Bangkok for work, I needed a hassle-free spot with easy access to shopping, dining, and BTS— this nailed it. Location (5/5): Smack in Sukhumvit's heart, it's a 1-min walk to Emsphere's trendy shops, cinemas, and food scene. BTS Phrom Phong is 5 mins away, making airport runs and city jaunts effortless. No taxi drama in Bangkok traffic! Room & Comfort (4.5/5): My superior room was spotless, modern, and spacious for solo use— king bed was plush, blackout curtains ensured deep sleep despite city buzz. Huge bathroom with rain shower and amenities felt luxurious. Minor nitpick: AC was a tad noisy at night, but earplugs fixed it. Free Wi-Fi was speedy for my work calls. Service & Facilities (4/5): Staff were warm and efficient—check-in was instant, and they upgraded my view gratis. Gym and pool on the 8th floor offered stunning skyline vistas; poolside was quiet for solo unwinding. Breakfast buffet was solid (fresh Thai/Western options), but could use more variety for repeat stays. Value (4.5/5): At ~THB 4,500/night (booked via app), it's a steal for the location and IHG perks. Quiet for a city hotel, ideal for solo travelers avoiding party vibes. Overall: 4.5/5. Highly recommend for short business-leisure trips. Will return!

GGuest UserAddressed to Jon Warmington, the General Manager I recently stayed at Grand Mercure Bangkok Atrium room 842 from 27 May to 1 June and would like to share some feedback regarding my experience. First and foremost, I would like to emphasize that I genuinely enjoyed my stay. The hotel, facilities, and the majority of the team members provided excellent service, and overall I had a pleasant experience. In fact, I am not the type of guest who frequently raises complaints. During my travels, I spend very little time in my hotel room. Most of my day is spent outside the property, and my interaction with the hotel is generally limited to breakfast and sleeping. As such, it takes a significant issue for me to feel compelled to formally raise a concern. The first issue relates to breakfast. During my stay, I invited a Muslim friend to join me for breakfast. He entered the restaurant with me but did not consume any food because he was unable to find suitable options that met his dietary requirements. While I acknowledge that I did not raise this directly with the restaurant team at the time, I was surprised when Reception later informed me that they had verified that my friend had taken breakfast. From my perspective, entering the restaurant should not automatically be considered as consuming breakfast when no food was actually taken. Nevertheless, I have decided to let this matter rest and move on. The second issue is far more serious and is the primary reason for this email. On my final night at the hotel, I was expecting a visitor. However, Reception did not contact me to verify whether I was expecting anyone before allowing my visitor access to the guest floors. Instead, my visitor was simply directed to my room and arrived at my door unannounced. Having worked within the Accor group for approximately 15 years as a Duty Manager in Singapore, I am very familiar with hotel operational procedures, guest privacy standards, and security protocols. It has always been my understanding that when a visitor arrives for an in-house guest, Reception should first contact the guest to obtain authorization before granting access to the room floors. While my visitor was indeed expected on this occasion, Reception had no way of knowing that without contacting me first. Had the visitor not been known to me, this could have resulted in a serious security and privacy issue. In my professional opinion, allowing a visitor direct access to a guest room without prior verification is unacceptable and falls short of the standards expected from an Accor property. What further disappointed me was the handling of the matter after I raised my concern. I wish to be clear that I am not seeking compensation of any kind. My concern is not financial. Rather, I expect an appropriate resolution and acknowledgement of the seriousness of the issue. Simply being told ”sorry” was not sufficient given the nature of the security lapse. The alternatives presented to me by the Night Manager were also, in my view, unreasonable. One option was for me to move to another room on my final night. Considering that I was due to check out the following morning, I found this solution impractical and disruptive. Being asked to pack my belongings and relocate because of an issue that was not caused by me did not seem to be an appropriate resolution. I was also informed that a Reception Manager would speak with me. However, I was unable to wait indefinitely for the manager's arrival. As a guest who was raising a legitimate concern, I do not believe I should have been expected to delay my evening plans or remain available for an uncertain period of time. Furthermore, I was scheduled to leave the hotel at 7:00 AM the next morning in order to arrive at the airport early for my flight. For these reasons, I felt that the issue was not properly addressed during my stay, which is why I am bringing it directly to your attention. I am raising this matter not only as a guest but also

SSmallduckThe hotel is located in the city center, but quite deep within an alley, though they do offer a shuttle service. The staff provided excellent service; everyone was friendly, smiling, and attentive. The room was clean, and the hotel itself is relatively new. The room layout was good, and it was fully equipped. Personally, I really liked it. There's also a cafe downstairs with good coffee. If I have the chance, I'll definitely stay here again. We checked in late, and the hotel upgraded our room. The room had a microwave, a coffee machine, and all the dishes and utensils you could need. One night wasn't enough; next time I'll stay for two nights. If you're hesitant, I highly recommend it; I personally think it's great.
