"The service was good especially the front desk staff, Ahmed, Jay and Vickey. Amenities in terms of gym and spa are good. No room service. A/C a little temperamental. Rooms are large and comfortable especially for families. Personally I liked the location lots of good places to eat and services nearby. It’s also peaceful and green with great views from some rooms"

"I stayed in this hotel for the 3rd time. Rooms are big, clean and really comfortable. It is in Arlington, near metro station which is convenient for travel. Will always be my choice to stay when i go to Washington DC"

"Very nice green travel, because I saw the evaluation is good, the price is moderately close to the city center, it was booked. After coming, I feel very good. First of all, because the hardware facilities of the Youth Hostel are very limited, an excellent operation team is very important. The counter is very very friendly and can be seen as well-trained. The house was very clean, with ten beds inside, a fan and air circulator, and curtains to control the sun. When I arrived, I was too tired to sleep for one afternoon. There were only three people staying that night. The public living room on the first floor has old-fashioned watching games, and there are also learning to learn. Also met a person in the Dutch physics college phd, added linkdin... overall, very interesting experience"

"I have already paid the money when I booked with Ctrip, but when I checked in at the hotel, the front desk said that the voucher was not found, and I swiped the card again. "The room was clean and the facilities were old, but it was easy to use. The hot water in the bathroom is a bit slow. The restaurant has a light meal that can temporarily solve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff is very professional. The restaurant staff is very welcoming."

The hotel is well located, with Washington Union Station nearby.
The rooms are average; they’re clean, but a bit outdated and musty.
The reception staff looked tired and unbothered. The hotel seems to operate only under daily timings; I was not able to get cleaning later on the day. The safe was not working and I had to wait until the next day for someone to come check it, same case for broken light in the bathroom.
The fitness is well equipped.
The hotel was not able to accommodate my request to cancel the last night, even though I was moving to another Hilton. Not necessarily the kind of service you’d expect from them.
Amenities were available upon request, there’s a mini fridge in the room. There was no kettle available.
Overall, for the price, you can get better in Washington DC.

The design style was modern, and the location was decent, about a 20-minute walk from Union Station and 35 minutes from attractions like the Parliament Buildings. A major drawback was the absence of cups for water, drinking water, and tooth-brushing. The room was also quite cold, with the heating only going up to 24 degrees Celsius, and the duvet was too thin. I asked the front desk for a heater, but it was still cold, so I ended up sleeping in a thick tracksuit all three nights. Additionally, the shower stall had no handrails, making it unfriendly for older guests. All controls being on an iPad was also inconvenient.

GGuest UserMy wife, our 5-year-old son, and I recently spent 3 lovely nights at Canopy by Hilton Washington DC Embassy Row during our family trip to the nation’s capital, and it turned out to be the ideal choice for our little family of three. Located in the charming Embassy Row neighborhood, the hotel’s location is truly unbeatable—just a 10-minute walk to Farragut North Metro Station, allowing us to easily reach iconic spots like the National Mall, Smithsonian Museums, and the White House, which were perfect for our curious 5-year-old.
We booked a deluxe room with two queen beds, which was spacious and comfortable for the three of us. The room was impeccably clean, with bright, modern decor and soft lighting that made it feel warm and welcoming after long days of sightseeing. The plush beds ensured we all slept well, and the blackout curtains were a lifesaver for our son, who tends to wake up early with sunlight. There were plenty of USB charging ports and free Wi-Fi, which kept our son entertained with his tablet during downtime, and the room had enough space for him to play a little without feeling cramped.
What impressed us most was how family-friendly the hotel was, especially for a young child. The staff was incredibly warm and patient; they greeted our son by name after the first day and even gave him a small toy as a welcome gift, which made him feel so special. There were also convenient coffee stations in the lobby, perfect for a quick pick-me-up before we headed out to explore the city with our little one.
The complimentary Canopy bikes were a fun activity for our family—our son loved riding in the child seat while my wife and I cycled around the quiet, tree-lined streets of Embassy Row. The concierge was also very helpful, recommending family-friendly restaurants nearby and helping us plan our itinerary to avoid crowds at the museums, which made our trip much smoother.
Overall, our stay was wonderful. The hotel’s prime location, comfortable accommodations, and thoughtful, family-focused service made our DC trip unforgettable. We highly recommend Canopy by Hilton Embassy Row to any family traveling with a young child—we couldn’t have asked for a better home base. We will definitely return on our next family trip to Washington DC.

GGuest UserThe hotel is not your typical dimension but it was clean and the mattress + pillows are one of the best I have slept on. The location was good as it was close to Metro, White House, Lincoln memorial, and Georgetown (walking around 20 mins). There is also a Metro station close by. However, it’s far away from the convention center though, you will need to take a taxi or Uber to get there.
The one suggestion I have is to provide kettle for hot water in the room as well as bottle waters. Most of the reception reps are very helpful and cheerful, only the grave yard shift reception lady is not in a good mood (I know it’s grave yard shift…but). The elevator needs some improvement as well since it’s very slow… (I’m not sure it’s because of the elevator manufacturer or because of the old building).

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a great location and the room is very cozy. It is right outside the subway station, and you can walk to the Washington Monument and the White House in two steps. There is a McDonald's across the street, so you don't have to worry about food. But there are some big problems, that is, it is very close to the building next door, so there is no light, the room is very damp, and the street is not soundproof and noisy.

GGuest UserMy experience was probably thrown off by the fact that the pull out bed was rough. Like sleeping with a bar in your back rough. The two beds in the bedroom were great, so it fit a family of 5 at a very reasonable price. The kitchen was not the best quality but it WAS a kitchen, so I was grateful for the ability to store food in a fridge and cook up a meal or two. The location was perfect, across from Trader Joe's, 5 minutes from the Metro stop, easy to get anywhere in the city.
