We came here on our honeymoon and from the start, Michael made us feel so welcomed and gave us a detailed showing of the property. The views were absolutely incredible. We had a great stay. Service and the scenery is what stood out. Michael, Andrès with Sentido Norte, Bryan and Alexander from La Pampa, made this stay so great. We hope to see them again soon!

Best place to stay on Costa Rica! This place is truly magnificent. The room was amazing. Every morning I sit on the couch on the balcony to enjoy my coffee and listen to the ocean and birds. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. They made me feel like family (William Front Desk, Ariel & Greivin Front Door, and Daniela Morales Guest Service Manager). I wish I could have stayed longer. I highly recommend that anyone stay here to make their visit to Costa Rica extra special.

Stayed here with my husband for 4 days in a sunset villa overlooking the pristine Danita Beach, high on a mountainside, with the most incredible sunsets every night. Our private patio and eternity plunge pool (with waterfall) was exquisite and so romantic. We awoke to the sound of the ocean, birds and howler monkeys. The staff was fantastic, greeting us by name in the lobby and the restaurant, and providing cool, scented towels each time we returned from activities. The food was outstanding at every meal and the sunset view from the bar drew a crowd each night. It was sheer indulgence from every perspective, including the nightly turn down service with hot tea and biscuits. Lots of hiking right from the property as well as a 5 min walk to the beach and kayaking. Worth every penny! Best for couples.

We stayed here at the beginning of January and had a wonderful stay. The rooms offer great privacy, amazing views and space to enjoy the day. The food and Sentido is great and we enjoyed a wine tasting at the cava bar Grotto. Staff is friendly and always attentive. Great place to relax and enjoy a romantic escape. We love it!

My husband and I stayed here in January, and although the view from the resort was beautiful, there were several changes we think the resort could make (that seem fairly simple to implement) that would make a stay at Casa Chameleon feel closer to a five-star experience. Our 2.5 star review is based on several disappoin**ents: 1) Many bills we received while we were there (at the restaurant, at the pool, etc.) were incorrect. The restaurant manager (his name escapes me) fixed each of the errors graciously, which we appreciated, but having to go back and resolve multiple bills put a damper on the "luxury experience." A credit had also not been correctly applied to our final bill, which we then needed to resolve when checking out (which, again, was resolved - but another oversight that seemed like it could have been avoided). 2) Although the view from the resort was beautiful, the sun was scorching, and it would have been nice to have a tilting umbrella. The resort had stationary cabanas by the pool as well as two stationary umbrellas (that did not tilt), but after around 1-2pm each day, those areas provided very limited shade coverage given how they were positioned relative to the sun. We noticed several other guests commenting on this while we were there as well. Having umbrellas on the villa patios (each of which has a plunge pool) would have been nice as well. 3) With the exception of Rose and Dahianna (they were wonderful), the customer service here was quite sub-par. A server at the restaurant argued with us on the type of beer we ordered, the manager took three days to resolve an issue regarding cash that went missing from our bags somewhere between the valet drop-off and when we got to our room (despite being promised to hear from her the following day), and we had to call the front desk to receive complimentary turn down service each night (we've stayed at many five-star resorts, and this is usually done automatically around the same time each night without having to call and request it each time). 4) The resort makes this clear when you check-in, but be aware ahead of time that enjoyable use of the outdoor villa space is greatly diminished at night. This is because racoons come out once it's dark - upon check-in, we were instructed to always keep our doors closed and locked at night so that racoons couldn't get into our villa. There was also a wooden block screwed into place that made it impossible to open the sliding glass door from the shower to the patio (we were told that this was because the racoons had figured out how to open the sliding door, even when it was locked?) - rendering the whole attempt at an indoor/outdoor shower pointless. Each night like clockwork, we also had hundreds of ants marching across the patio and making their way along the edge of the plunge pool and up the side of the waterfall. 5) While it did not impact us during our stay, just be aware that there is construction going on both at the resort and in th

Do not get a partial ocean view room because you’ll have construction views and a literal dirt road in your view. When checking out the day before we specifically asked if we could checkout an hour late because of our transportation and we were told that was fine. The next day they call us saying no we can’t checkout out late & they never told us that we could. We were on our honeymoon at this resort as the last location. We were at Peace Lodge & Tabacon before this & the service at both those locations was excellent something we did not receive at casa chameleon. This place pretends like they care about you when you voice their concerns but do not be fooled by their fake behavior. Danny the manager was of no help as well. Definitely do not recommend this place

My stay at Casa Chamaleon was spectacular, they take care of every detail! The hotel has the best views and amenities, the food experiences and sunsets are beyond! Looking forward to go back! It’s my go too and always recommend for friends and family

I was surprised to see that none of the other reviews talked about the noise and construction dust everywhere. The scenery and the property are indeed beautiful and at some point in the future they will meet their description. The staff is also great, very friendly and professional. The restaurant on the property is excellent. The view with the sunset is indeed special. However, there is ongoing construction, not only on the property but around it, in the close neighborhood, that creates a 7am to 6pm noise and dust that covers everything. The whole city Las Catalinas is currently under development.

This property is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. Every room is a Vila with its own swimming pool and truly incredible view. There are some certain rooms that have better views such as room #14 where we stayed but all rooms are amazing. The property is far from most activities as it is closer to the beach than the main areas where water springs (hot waters) etc are… but I wanted to be near the beach and further from things therefore it was perfect for us. The roads are in pretty poor condition in Costa Rica in overall with no highway therefore be ready to drive to the main activities for at least 1.5 hours as a distance of about 30 miles usually takes about 1.5 hours on those roads. If you are looking for a very high end hotel (although pretty expensive hotel) with breath-taking views and very very good food, this is the place for you.
