What a beautiful place to stay in a beautiful town. We are cycling the rail trail and this was a great place to stay after a hard days ride. We stayed in the Rustic Room which was very comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast provided I. The morning was hearty and yummy. The house is beautifully renovated while still retaining its country charm

Oh where do we start!... Everything is just beautiful and to the credit of owners. As soon as you arrive to this grand historic home, you can see every attention to detail, past and present, has been thought of. The rooms are so calming and comfortable, but modern. We enjoyed a drink outside in the pretty, quiet garden, then only had to walk a few steps to the Restaurant, where the a**osphere and food matched, and the next morning our lovely array of breakfast, resulted in a perfect stay. Worth just driving to Clyde to stay a couple of nights here, Bliss!... This is our second stay, and we will be back, thank you.

A very nice looking hotel which has been renovated very well with period materials. It's situated in a good location, in the heart of the old town close to cafes and restaurants. We had booked the suite, so had a lounge in addition to a bedroom and unsuite. The hosts were friendly. We gave it only 3 stars as feel the lounge should have included a TV and control over when to turn the heaters on and off. The breakfast was adequate, however, given the amount we paid for the room it should have been more interesting.

We stayed at Oliver’s Lodge and Stables on the front end of a multi day bike trek and at the Lord Clyde on the back end. David and Andrea Ritchie have done a fabulous job of renovating a group of buildings dating back to the mid-1800’s. The food on offer is terrific. The rooms are wonderful and very well equipped and the gardens are lovely. Andrea’s sister Victoria manages the Lord Clyde and Andrea is at Oliver’s. If you are riding the Central Otago trail, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t book here.

There were 10 in the cycling group doing various trails around Otago. We had two nights stay in Dunstan House. Meridith & Jan are wonderful hosts. Great accommodation and fantastic service. I would would highly recommend Dunstan House for your stay in Clyde.

We stayed in a Stables room, and it was perfect for our purpose. The room, though small, had a comfortable bed, a clean and well-appointed bathroom and enough space for everything. The weather was great, so we enjoyed sitting outdoors in the garden reading our books. Our hosts were warm, friendly, welcoming and very willing to accommodate our needs. Breakfast was delicious and efficient. Before we knew it, we were nourished and on our way for a ride on the Central Otago Bicycle Trail. We would highly recommend Olivers.

Quaint, historic building. Nice hosts. Great location. Rooms way too small. Breakfast was poor despite the fact they were up early to make lovey pastries for sale later. All we had was cereal and toast options and had to wait despite it being out and set up.

Very quaint accommodation in a renovated old building. Clyde is an old mining town but currently caters to LOTS of cyclists and international travellers within the Otago region. I stayed in the Soap Factory room. Facilities very good, no cross flow and it was very warm so used a fan all night which did help. This is very rustic but lovely. Breakfast was great and sheets and bedding all very good. Hosts are lovely. Would highly recommend.

I can only write about the restaurant not the hotel as did not stay here. Went here a few times on my visit to the area. It was delicious. The coffee - fantastic. Scones - delicious (especially the date scone). And the cook to order food also delicious. I highly recommend the salad with the halloumi or the eggs benedict. A**osphere is great. A few tables outside. Inside it is like going back in time. It is an old hotel (still is a hotel). We really enjoyed it and would recommend a visit for sure.
