The service still had teething problems. The attitude is spot on with a few exceptions but this appears to be training problems. They need to gear towards a high end cruise for staff. I have visited again but felt hussled rather than looked after. It will be great i am sure .however was promised personal service this do not happen.

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Trueman Court for the weekend, whilst visiting Liverpool. The rooms were very spacious and airy, giving the whole room an open and modern feel. The combination of luxury, whilst also being in a prime location (walking distance from all of the shops, bars and restaurants) fitted the bill perfectly for our weekend. One of the things we most enjoyed that most other places seem to lack was a proper functional kitchen. Everything was shiny and brand new, with a very good coffee machine and modern amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Liverpool. Thank you for making our trip so memorable.

So, to start with the main thing for me when I stay somewhere is the staff and service and this is why I'm rating this hotel 5* stayed for 3 nights with my mate and was blown away by the reception staff, friendly knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. I'm rubbish with Google maps so was always asking directions to things and everyone was really helpful. To the room, we stayed in the Yellow Submarine, massive room, biggest I've ever seen, a few little niggles but probably just me. A bin in the main room would be super handy as only a tiny one in the bathroom. My mate loved the jacuzzi bath but I prefer a shower and although the actual shower was fab I was like Bambi on ice in the tub, so much so I had to stand on a flannel, I know the jacuzzi is the main thing but some kind of shower mat would be handy as super slippery tub! Location was perfect, so central and despite being threshers week and a LFC international home game we were not disturbed by any late night noise at all. Thank you for a brilliant stay and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel

The soundproofing of the hotel is poor, you can hear the sound of water from next door or upstairs. The room is too small, only 12 square meters, and the bathroom is very small. It is a reluctant person to move in. Although the room is in the basement, there is no peculiar smell and musty smell. The first floor of the hotel is public The area provides paid breakfast, 5 pounds per serving, and free coffee and hot water. Sit on the sofa in the public area for a while, rub some WiFi, look at the pedestrians on the street through the kitchen window, and feel very comfortable.

Brilliant location, right in the centre. The staff were brill - checked in early and left luggage- when we returned the room wasn’t ready so ordered a wine which came at the same time as our room became available so the staff took it to our room and bags for us. Had a junior suite which was perfect for a family . Complimentary drinks went down a treat pre evening meal. Were booked into the Resident in Covent Garden later this week so hopefully they will be as amazing as the team in Liverpool

I booked this hotel for a little break for me & my husband (we are both middle aged). I picked it for location & price. They were both spot on, but I didn't check that it was right in the heart of club land, so we didn't get any sleep from the noise from bars, clubs & party goers. So great for the money, if you want to be out there partying, but not so good when you're older. Upon check out, I mentioned the noise to the receptionist, who told me that I should have requested a quieter room, which I would have done, had I have know that they had them! So upon reflection a) the hotel needs to point out that there are quiet rooms available & b) I'll definately be doing a thorough research on any future city break hotels.

I booked this last minute for our family stay and was so impressed by Book A Base apartments. Amazing customer service, spotless apartment, so spacious. Kitchen had everything we needed. My family are already asking me to book again and they have other locations so we will definitely visit again. Staff even surprised my son with a birthday cake on arrival. Okay, I'd read the previous reviews and was a little concerned about our booking and it was too late to cancel, so we just went with it. There were 5 of us in our party and we booked a triple room and a double room. We first went into the bar and immediately welcomed by the locals and bar staff, all very friendly. We then checked in a few doors down, lots of stairs but that didn't bother us. Easy check in and all secure with key cars access. We had rooms 28 and 29 and they were perfect. Good sized rooms, very modern decor with en suite shower rooms. Clean and tidy, tea coffee biscuits, views over the adelphi and city. No complaints whatsoever from us. Just a little nod to management, maybe a mirror and waste bin for the rooms possibly needed. All in all, it was a great stay, excellent location and good value for money. We would definitely stay again. We also used the multi storey car park opposite and left it in there overnight and it cost less than £10.
