a friend who gets to visit Madrid often recommended this hotel - he stays at the associated apartments down the block, so check those out too very good location, helpful friendly staff, comfy bed - excellent value for the price its address is on a pedestrian-only street that is about 15 meters from a place to catch a cab if needed

The hostel was really nice. The location is good, the staff is really welcoming and smiling and the room was nice. I was really surprised to get such a nice room for a really cheap price. The locker with its key are included in the price of the room and there was everything required to sleep comfortably. I really recommend it.
B&B HOTEL Apartamentos Madrid Centro Fuencarral 46

The apar**ent is a couple of buildings next to a hotel of the same group and it is there that they give you the keys. Location is well in downtown. It is a plus if that is what you are looking for. I was concerned it could be noisy, but it was not. Walking distance from shops, restaurants, metro stations. Location is one of the stars. The apar**ent itself is large. Large bathroom (no bidet, but it is an B&B thing). The living room was also spacious, and the sofa-bed was even more comfortable than the main room bed. It had a full kitchen and refrigerator (that we did not use). Could be cleaner. It had a strange smell in the hallways when you entered the apar**ent.

I'm not going to bother with every shortcoming, but here are a few: 1. Loud. Inside and from the street. The cheap plastic floor covering that looks like it was installed by Stevie Wonder is loud. 2. The young woman who cleans the rooms unlocked our door and entered. No knock. I was in a two-bed room so it's not like she was entering a big dormitory. 3. Desk personnel were rude and unprofessional. 4. Breakfast was cheap loaves of sandwich bread with butter, maybe some peanut butter or jelly. If you can afford to stay in Madrid you will want to pay a few euro for a real breakfast. You get the point. I have traveled to a lot of places. I don't require luxury. I do require civility and competence. This place falls short in every respect. It is the worst place I have stayed in all of my travels.

Such a great experience at the hostel. Got a room with a private terrace and a stunning view of the nice traditional Madrid. Food was nice and very good for the price too 10/10. My favorito part was the building and its interior, pretty nice and the room very cool. It’s very central and just 2 blocks down a train station, you can walk to must touristic places which is nice. Hope to be back one day haha🤪

First the place was not easy to find as it was just a littled door in an alley. Once you find it, it was ok. The appartment was not exactly as in the pictures, but it was still great. There was an elevator (thank God!) and the building was pretty quiet. The appartment is located right in the center, 10-minute walk from Plaza España and 200 metres from Gran Via and Chueca Metro Stations, and lots and lots of restaurants and stores. Be aware, you get the code to the appartment only when you do your online check in AND pay a deposit (for damage and stuff) online. If you are not connected and don't have access to email it may be an issue. In my case, i only checked my email once or twice a week (missed the one for deposit obviously) - but it worked out fine in the end.
