The people are very nice. The appartment is simple but usefull. We had Seaview and mountainvieuw. The beds are a bit flow. The location is wright near the beach and at 400m near the city centre. Bars, restaurants, supermartkets, car location all at walking distance

Had an amazing time here on our first girls holiday. The staff are so polite and welcoming and go above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and enjoyed our time in malia. Pool and facilities were very clean and room was cleaned each day with fresh towels supplied daily. Superb view!

Excellent location with balcony overlooking the pool and sea. The owners are super, really friendly making sure that we have everything that we need. The room is cleaned and the towels changed everyday, the food at lunch is good especially the Gyros. The location is far enough to be quiet whilst only a few minutes walk to bars and restaurants. The main ***** is more of a party town but can be avoided without problems. We travelled with 3 kids and found loads to do mini golf, water sports, surfing, go-karting (all within 10 minutes walk apart from surfing 20 minute drive). I would definitely come back, the most relaxing week with kids I’ve ever had

The worst resort me and my family have been to , nothing seemed to work including the swimming pool , the food and drink was horrendous ! The staff where rude obnoxious and dident seem to care, yes it’s cheap but wouldn’t stay there again even if we was paid too ! but the little dog ilola was lovely.

Laplaya is run by a very hospitable family. Just steps away from the sea, the location is amazing. They have sunbeds on both the beach and poolside. There is a gazebo area where you can get some shade, order food, and have a cold drink. There are restaurants and tavernas within walking distance, and you are just minutes away from the center of Malia, or Stalis in the other direction. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Greece. You won't be disappointed!

Een ruime, niet schone kamer troffen wij als eerste gasten van dit seizoen aan. WC pot lekte, een kapotte bedlamp en de wastafel was verstopt. Volgens de eigenaar kwam de verstopping doordat wij blijkbaar wc papier door het toilet en in de wastafel hadden gegooid. Dit moest in het daarvoor bestemde afvalbakje. Uitgelegd dat wij hier geen schuld aan hadden maar daar had hij geen oren naar. De klachten werden wel meteen verholpen. De volgende ochtend geen warm water. Was blijkbaar bekend want er zou een expert komen maar hoe vreemd: de bovenbuurvrouw had wel warm water?? De kitchenette verdient deze naam niet. Zeer weinig bestek, servies en glasgoed en een koekenpan en een kookpan. Maar, uit eten is ook eigenlijk goedkoper dan boodschappen doen in de supermarkt. De WIFI in onze kamer werkte slecht. De kamers zijn vreselijk gehorig. Je hoort alles van je buren. Een regendouche en een handdouche, waarvan alleen de handdouche in een rechtop stand is te gebruiken. De bedden vonden wij prima. De locatie is geweldig; op het strand met een prachtig uitzicht. Leuk zwembad. Ontbijt en snacks zijn verkrijgbaar in de bar.

Veel stranden bij Malia zijn behoorlijk volgepakt met bedjes en dat is bij het strand van La Playa niet, er is voldoende ruimte en altijd wel een set bedjes vrij. De bedjes zijn in goede staat en comfortabel en er zijn ook een aantal luxe bedden verkrijgbaar met extra dikke kussens. De standaard bedden kosten € 5,- per set incl. parasol. Er is een strandtent aanwezig waar je eten en drinken kan krijgen tegen normale prijzen. Het strand zelf is netjes en er zijn voldoende afvalbakken aanwezig om je afval in te gooien. Ook is er een douche waar je even af kunt spoelen als je in de zee geweest bent.
