"This guesthouse is very near Labrang Monastery, within 5 mins walking. It stands in a small street next to the Xia river. There're many restaurants around, both western and local food. The hosts were very friendly and kind. Our room was on the second floor and they helped us to lift our luggage upstairs. Downstairs is a restaurant you can enjoy easy meal and good coffee/tea. The decoration is nice. The house is bright and the air flow is great. There're spots both upstairs and downstairs to sit to relax. And if you add their WeChat they would answer every question quickly. The bus station is around 1.5 km away. You can walk easily there and with taxi it costs only 2 yuan per person."

What truly stayed with me was opening my window in the crisp morning to see prayer flags fluttering against the majestic backdrop of snow-capped mountains, with the gentle chime of yak bells carried on the breeze. GGuest UserThe guesthouse is super close to Labrang Monastery, within walking distance. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was soft, and the lighting was great, making for a very comfortable stay. The owners were very thoughtful; they even provided oxygen cylinders, so there was absolutely no need to worry about altitude sickness. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Xiahe! 👏👏

GGuest UserIt is highly recommended if the weather is not cold. The scenery outside is beautiful and the independent cabin is very quiet. It feels pretty good. It would be a waste to just stay one night without taking pictures😂
The cleanliness of the house is also okay. Sister Zang helped carry the suitcase when we arrived. They didn't speak Chinese and were very friendly.
They also have a restaurant. To be honest, I don’t recommend it. The yak meat is too thick and difficult to digest. The breakfast is not very recommended either.

GGuest UserThe owner is incredibly nice, and the hotel is very clean and new. The owner is incredibly friendly. The room was also very comfortable, with a soft and warm quilt. The ethnic atmosphere was particularly rich. It was a truly wonderful stay! It was truly fantastic. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to any friends visiting Labrang Monastery in the future! It's truly excellent!

Location and Natural Beauty
The hotel is nestled on the edge of the Sangke Grassland, offering vast grassland scenery as soon as you step out the door. On our check-in day, the welcoming owner offered to take us for a walk by a nearby stream. Verdant grass lay beneath our feet, dotted with wildflowers, the stream gurgled, and in the distance, cattle and sheep strolled leisurely. It felt like stepping into an untouched natural landscape. This immersive experience, detached from the hustle and bustle of life, was one of the greatest surprises of the trip.
Service is in the Details
What touched us most was the owner's thoughtfulness. Due to our tight schedule the next day, we planned to depart at 7:30 AM. We had planned to skip breakfast, but the owner specifically inquired about our departure time the night before and prepared a hot breakfast the next morning. Bread, milk tea, and side dishes...the simple fare held the most simple warmth, making us feel like family on a cool morning. This selfless enthusiasm far exceeds expectations of ”hotel service.”

AAnonymous UserWe stayed three nights at Nirvana Resort in early July and loved our time there. Spectacular location, the grasslands are alive with flowers and birds, and everyone at Nirvana was kind and helpful. We had our own car (ideal if possible) and alongside visiting Labrang Monastery and walking in the nearby hills, we also enjoyed driving around the backroads into Qinghai and immersing ourselves in the landscape. At the end of each day it was perfect to climb the hill to the Sky Bar and drink a beer while watching the land grow dark.

GGuest UserVery good stay experience, also came here after reading online reviews saying the environment is good, the service is good, the hygiene is good, and the boss is good. The boss helped to take the suitcase upstairs. It is very quiet, very stylish, and has a beautiful art space.

GGuest UserThis is great hotel and with a few minor improvements it could be an outstanding hotel. It's location couldn't be better as it is directly across the street from the entrance to the Longram Monastery and very near the main street. The hotel has an interesting ******* character and has its own good restaurant. We were assigned a very large and comfortable room. The staff were at all times friendly and welcoming. My minor complaints were the absence of any English speakers (admittedly an issue at almost all the hotels we have stayed at in China), the bathroom towels were a bit raged, and the internet connection was weak.

WWuhouhongcha1668The rooms are well equipped and the room service and restaurant service are satisfactory. Two problems: First, the room temperature was too high, about 30 degrees, and there was no temperature control. I reported this to the hotel, and they said that the heating temperature in Xiahe is always that high and the hotel cannot control it. We opened the windows and drew the curtains, but didn't dare turn on the lights because there was a hotel across the street. We couldn't fall asleep in bed at all. It felt like we were in a scorching hot room with no ventilation or air conditioning. It was minus 14 degrees outside, but it was suffocatingly hot inside! We, an elder who was almost 70 years old, had to travel the next day, so we didn't sleep the whole night and just endured the scorching heat.
