We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful pub , food was amazing, service was wonderful, really friendly staff ,owners jasmine and Gareth couldn’t do more to satisfy our stay especially when we had an aggressive couple staying in the room next to us , banging and shouting at each other every night , so they very kindly upgraded us , best of luck with your beautiful pub , we’ve already booked out next stay xx

My husband and I were looking forward to a great Sunday lunch yesterday after a long walk. Unfortunately it was the worse lunch we have had for a long time! I had the Stilton mushrooms to start, they were swimming in oil and I couldn’t taste any Stilton, hubby had the salmon which looked good just served with a stale slice of French bread. We both had the beef, I had to leave all of mine, firstly I couldn’t cut through it, I had so much fat on my plate and secondly it was red raw, don’t think it saw the inside of a cooker! Luckily the veg and roast potatoes were nice but the gravy was so tasteless, as if every fat from every joint was mixed in it! The young girl that served us was so slow. She asked us if we would like to see the desert menu, 10 minutes later she gave us one! I would have liked the crumble as I was still hungry but we never saw her again! So after 15 minutes we paid the bill of “£97” and left! Such a shame as it has the potential of being a great pub, but management need to sort the job out! We won’t be returning!

We had an overnight stay here while we were passing through on our travels north. We had drinks in the bar and the staff were really friendly. Rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was amazing and once again the staff were friendly and welcoming. An old pub with lots of character and a really nice mix of old and new. Definitely recommend!

I spent many visits to my Auntie’s house in North Cerney from 1974 onwards. The Bathurst Arms was a big part of our visits and it was a wonderful return to spend a night in the Hotel itself. it could not have been more welcoming, warm and friendly. our room was just what we wanted, with all the nice touches . comfortable, clean, cosy. We had reserved dinner, great menu, and our food was lovely. in the meantime i met a few of the locals, and chatted about my time there. they were a good bunch and had recollections of people I’d known. the beer is well kept, as was the wine. Breafast was perfect, beautifully set out , fresh ingredients and delicious. The staff are excellent, very efficient and helpful. The owners have been there for less than a year, and , they are doing a great job. we felt really good about our visit, thank you . we will return in the summer, so Jasmine, i promise to buy the guys a drink . steve and lyn it’s always about the people.

The food was unbearable for the price... £15 for a halluimi salad which was paired with oranges and a few lettuce leaves. No flavour at all. We asked for a medium steak, it came raw red and we couldn't send it back because the kitchen had closed at 8pm!!! Such a shame as the pub has huge potential to be amazing. Unfortunately will not be returning.

The new landlady introduced herself on arrival and explained that she had a way to go with upgrades. Room was small, dinner was good, breakfast less so, but staff were cheery throughout. Bar area good. Very attractive exterior, a babbling brook at the end of the garden, all set in a picturesque village. Why did the waiter need to wear a baseball cap?
