An excellent get away in the heart of the German Schwarzwald. I took my mother for a week of holiday into the German Schwarzwald or Black Forest region. The region, made famous by the brothers Grimm (the authors, not the movie) is beautiful in every way. Hotel Hirschen is a pearl in this beautiful idyllic scenery. Run by the 5th generation its the 4th generation Junghans that takes the podium in customer service, kindness and general a heart felt sevice. Convenience wise we opted for halb pension and boy... The breakfast is superb and so is the meals served but do yourself a pleasure and take at least once the time to endulge yourself in their A la carte dining. Their Hirschen burger is a pure joy. While this review is a bit lengthy... The rauchquard and Bergkristall types rooms are the ones you want. Trust me.. If you want a quick stopover or a Base in the Schwarzwald.. This is the hotel for you.

Well received with an immediate feeling of home. Kamess recently renovated with good bed. Eating at the table with choice menu. More than enough and good and friendly service. Environment especially for walkers and cyclists. Plenty of excursion options with Freudenstadt, Schiltach, Wolfach, the bear park, .... Nice to spend a few days.

The reception is not very friendly. We had to indicate immediately upon arrival what we wanted to use for breakfast the next week. If we find something annoying ... Was this related to the corona measures? Our beautiful spacious room is located at the rear, has an excellent seating area and a terrace with a view of the hotel garden and a hint of mountains. According to the website, the rooms will be refurbished in the spring of 2021. Look great, the shower is great, best ever, but closet space has hardly been thought of. The hotel is at the front of the fairly busy B28. Too bad the staff was not attentive. Have discussed this with the owner. He apologized and wrote that they were busy training the staff. It is quite a large hotel and tastefully decorated.

Ich kann das Restaurant und den Neubau des Hotels bewerten. Kurz gesagt absolute Spitzenklasse. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und hochwertig. Das Essen in der Gaststube sowie im Biergarten ist sehr gut. Eine der besten Adressen in dieser Gegend!

..... wir haben ein sehr schönes und entspanntes verlängertes Wochenende im Landhotel Hirschen verbracht. Angefangen vom sehr freundlichen Personal, über das hervorragenden Frühstücksbuffet bis hin zum tollen 4-Gänge-Menu waren wir sehr begeistert. Auch die neu renovierten Zimmer machen den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Wir können das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

De "Komfort Doppelzimmer Amethyst" biedt helaas géén komfort. Bedden die piepen en kraken. Matrassen die wel 20 jaar oud lijken. Kamer ligt direct aan doorgaande weg. 's nachts raam open laten verstoort nachtrust. Géén balkon of terras. Verouderde kamer. Dus van comfort was geen sprake. Ten opzichte van gerenoveerde kamers zijn deze verouderde kamers naar onze mening véél te duur. Beloofde "high Speed Internet" blijkt vaak zéér langzaam, zeker als hotel druk bezet is. Wij moesten meermaals per dag met mobiele telefoon en tablet/laptop naar de router aan het einde van de gang om verbinding te krijgen. Ook op andere kamers en in andere delen van het hotel was Internet slecht. Het ontbijt en diner waren gelukkig wél heel goed. Personeel was, op aanvraag, erg behulpzaam.
