HORRIBLE! I am currently staying in Hotel Tino and i am completely disappointed! I am a frequent traveler and i have been both business or leisure in many 4 and 5 star hotels. To be honest i didn’t expected this! For a double room lake view 80 Eur night we got a room with killing mold smell in the bathroom and cold shower ( the receptionist said its very often problem!). The other rooms with lake view have the same smell and water problem! This is shameful for a “4 star” hotel on the best position in Ohrid! Never again!

We spent two nights in hotel Tino at lovely lake of Ohrid. Our aim was to explore the old town and the lake. Those are day activities and we expected to sleep during the night. Unfortunately, this was not possible in hotel Tino during both nights, on Friday and Saturday, due to extremely loud music in hotel's restaurant and/or bar. No noise isolation at all. In spite of the fact that our rooms were at the third floor we did not sleep until 2 a.m. We have complained at the reception but with no effect.

We stayed here for two weeks, and had a really lovely holiday. We were welcomed on arrival with a glass of rakija and a piece of Turkish delight, which was a very nice touch. The staff on reception were friendly and helpful. We had a corner room in the annexe which was a nice size. The view was of the alleyway, but we didn't want to pay extra for a lake view, as we didn't spend loads of time in the room. It was clean and comfortable, with a nice walk-in shower, and quieter than the rooms on the front, as the bars can be quite noisy at weekends. We had to ask for extra hangers for our clothes, but the helpful staff sent them straight up. Breakfast was plentiful and there was a lot of choice. We were on half board, so ate in the restaurant every night. This is the only part of the stay that fell a little short, in my opinion. The restaurant is very nice, with a live band every night. Restaurant customers get a much more extensive menu than those on half board. The rather more limited half board menu didn't change while we were there, and as I don't eat meat (although I do eat fish), I ended up with a a very small selection of main courses I was able to eat. The meals were all very nice, but it just became a bit samey after a few days. Some of the waiters were friendlier and more helpful than others. The hotel has a small spa, with the biggest hot tub I'd ever seen, as well as a sauna and steam room. You can ask for robes to be sent to your room and change there. The location of the hotel is perfect - right on the lake and just a short walk to the old town. There is a beautifully-maintained grassed area running the length of the promenade - the ideal spot to leave our towels when we swam in the lake each afternoon. There's no need to walk to one of the beaches, as you can access the lake straight from the promenade. I would return to this hotel again, but on bed and breakfast next time.

Checked in at the Hotel Tino Ohrid right on Lake Ohrid. We were on the third floor and we had a balcony. The room was good size with a king bed, but two separate quilts and only one pillow each. Built-in area held both carry-on bags. No desk so I had to use the round table and one of the two chairs. Small refrigerator but no in-room safe. Electric water pot but no coffee or tea. Bathroom smelled strongly of sewer gas. Had the maintenance man look at the floor drain, and he poured some water down the hole and flushed the toilet. He said the smell should go away. It did not during our four-night stay. Breakfast came with our room. Nice breakfast with cereal, yogurt, breads and sweets, meats and cheeses, hard boiled and fried eggs, hot dogs and usually a couple more hot items. Coffee only available from a pot unless you wanted to purchase a special coffee. Water and tea bags available.

We have stayed there for 3 nights. Great location, very close to the centre but far enough to escape hustle and bustle of the visitors. We had a room overlooking the lake so it was a great addition to our stay. Staff was very helpful, fitness room was a big bonus. Breakfast was incredible. The best one we have had to date. Definitely would recommend.

Would I return to this hotel ? - yes I would 😃. The hotel is in a great location - right on the lake front with a little grassy area with beanbags to lie out, at the end of the lakefront promenade about a 15 minute walk to the town centre. I was careful to manage my expectations pre-arrival and I think that this helped, and the hotel was better than I expected. The good bits : we had 3 rooms (2 twin and 1 single) in the annexe at the rear of the hotel. Despite what other reviewers have said about the annexe rooms, we liked our rooms. They were spacious, the air conditioning worked well (which was a god-send in the heatwave of summer 2023) and the beds were comfortable. There is a TV, a fridge and a kettle (but only 2 coffee sachets and no milk). Plenty of storage space for clothes etc. There is no safe in the room, but the safety deposit boxes at reception are free and worked fine for storing passports etc. There is no view from the annexe rooms which is the down side, but in return we were away from the noise of the restaurant and pub which are at the front of the hotel and are really noisy until around midnight, especially at the weekend. Room 211 in particular is a corner room and is bigger. We decided that on balance the quieter annexe rooms were actually a better option for us than a lake view room above the pub, after all we were only really in our rooms to sleep and spent our daytimes lying by the lake anyway. The reception staff were really helpful. As a group of friends, our booking was a bit complicated. We had booked through TUI UK but then worked with the hotel directly by email to change the allocated rooms to rooms which better suited our needs. The reception staff were also really accommodating with us for storing our sports equipment through the week, and were generally just really helpful. The not so good bits : daily housekeeping is limited. The housekeeper seems to just check the toilet paper and empty the bin in the toilet during your stay. Floors and the bathroom were not cleaned and beds weren’t made throughout our stay, and a used coffee cup mid week lay dirty on the sideboard for the week. We were booked Half Board. The breakfast spread is great, with a range of Macedonian hot options, meats and cheese, and fruit. Dinner is not so good. Although the restaurant has a varied public menu, as a hotel half board customer you are given a much more limited menu to select from and we did feel a bit like second hand citizens in the restaurant. The salads and the fish options were nice but the other meat options were not great. On some days the service was really very slow indeed although there was one particular waiter who was quite cheery and tried to look after us. We ended up eating dinner in the hotel 4 nights and ate out 3 nights and there are some really lovely restaurants along in town to explore.

Cracking Location, right on the shore of the lake. Staff are friendly and addressed a couple of minor issues efficiently. We had a lake view room and it was well worth paying the extra for. Hotel Breakfast was ok, plenty off choice although not all to my taste but I always had enough to eat and drink. The Hotel bar was also busy and reasonably priced. Thanks all for a lovely stay,

Good hotel but needs a few tweets. Reception staff were friendly and quick to respond to requests ie extra pillows and more towels when the housekeeping team forgot to leave them. Breakfast was an interesting continental mix so don't expect bacon. No boiling water for cup of tea only hot water from water dispenser. Staff struggled during busy periods and were slow to clear tables. Smoking is still allowed in restaurants so don't be surprised if the person on the next table lights up. Biggest concern was the level of noise from bars next door on Fri & Sat night till 2am. Money can be exchanged at hotel with competitive rates given. Excellent location and good food available in bars next to hotel.
