Our conference was very successful, in no small part because of the excellent work of the staff and the great facilities.

Hotel was clean. Pub was convenient as it was located across the parking lot. My friend and I had a great experience at Vetta spa which was less than a 10 mins drive. We would highly recommend it and visit again!

This was one of the worst value for the dollar amount we paid. The price reflects a 4 star hotel while I would give this a 2 at best. The food seemed cheaply made and could use improvement and the room was literally falling apart. Hallways are filthy and we could see into the wall cavity in the shower. Shower hose sprayed right out the door soaking the floor. Pool deck is filthy. The hotel doesn’t seem to have had any upgrades in a decade. The plus sides were that the Beds were clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. We needed to stay close for an event but considering other arrangements for future events here.

The property is extremely run down and outdated. The room walls seem to have been built with paper, I’ve never experienced being able to listen to next doors conversation and hearing word for word. Anyone walking past the room sounded as if they were walking into my room. Bed and pillows are not comfortable. Pool, sauna and the so called games room looks worse for wear. I’d recommend staying anywhere else and visiting the resort for activities only. Staff also aren’t well informed, I booked to stay for the spa and even mentioned this when booking my stay and was told I’d have a day pass on the Saturday, after checking in I was then informed the spa package isn’t available on weekends so essentially wasted my time and money.

Alpine operations were shut down the day before we arrived for a week of fun in the snow. Understandably businesses have to make these types of decisions presumably due to factors beyond their control. What was hard to understand was the lack of compassion and compensation for this unexpected (snow forecast that week) last minute disappointment. Free 9winter) mini golf was offered as compensation but even that was an empty promise that they didn't fulfil.

We understand that the weather is not something that is within the resort’s control. What is within the resort’s control is the customer experience. For a place that claims to be a resort and charged fixed resort fee, nothing was available. Some examples include: The Nordic centre was closed during the week due to lack of snow yet no communication on this before arrival or any other activities available. Complimentary golf, while is great, is only one activity. You could add a summary of other activities around the resort or the area with some discounts to entice spending. a) within one sheet of paper or an welcome email people will feel like this place is not a scam but a resort that cares about the customer experience; B) with little discounts, this entice extra spend to generate $ for both the resort and local businesses. The staff all seem very friendly but seem to only know of what they are responsible for, no effort to ask whether its people first time to help or provide insights on anything else. Two examples: 1. We had asked about hiking. Read from website that there should be lots of hiking from resort. We went to front desk to ask for help and first she didn’t know and then mentioned that we can find signs from Nordic centre. Found no signs so we ended up just around the golf course. We instead did our own research and drove to Copeland Forest P1(what a great place to hike and explore with children). 2. No discount to ski so we paid full price for ski lift ticket for our little guy. We forgot his ski boots so the rental place lent him a pair, which was very nice but if we knew that the place was closed at 4pm, we wouldn’t spend $90+ but a bit of skiing. We asked what time to return and was told 9pm on Sunday. Skiing in the morning and was thinking of skiing in the afternoon and evening. Came back from hiking and lunch that the ski hills were closed at 4pm. Can’t return skis so we went to front desk for help, no help as wasn’t her department and we need to figure out ourselves in the morning. Things just close with no notice- example with the skiing on Sunday and then the pizza place (eleven) - sign all week was Wed to Sun 4-10pm but when we went over tonight (sun) was told it was closed. We spent over $1700 for 4 nights. We were looking at potentially trying again in the summer time to see the summer activities as this is close to Toronto and an option for weekend fun, but not here.

Stayed at this report twice this season for skiing trips. Great location, value and service. Good restaurants within the resort offering breakfast, pizza and bites. Lifts closed a bit early this year due to a warm winter. But will definitely come back again on better days.

We have gone to this mountain to snowboard during the day and it has been a great place to do so. This year we decided to come with the kids and it was amazing even though the weather has not been nice this year, it was still a great stay. You have to check out trivia night at the pizza place. Snow tubing was tons of fun, too. We walked around and it was a nice place to walk. The pools, hot tub and sauna were really nice and with a great view. The staff were very nice. We stayed in the condos and there were very nice and you have everything you need there.

Great place however our room was beside very noisy neighbours which negatively impacted our stay. Front staff tried to resolve the noise situation however it just kept happening. Although ski lift tickets are very pricey (should have half-day pass options as some other resorts have), the resort and our stay were great otherwise.
