Hotels near Kuromon Ichiba Market in Osaka

Good walk from Namba station, directly opposite Kuromon market. There was an issue with our booking upon check in but instead of helping us with it, the receptionist said to cancel and make a new booking - which makes zero sense to me at all. Receptionists can’t speak a lick of English and will converse with you back and forth through Google translate, so be prepared for a lot miscommunication. Room was alright, nothing great or amazing. It’s a thing in Japan to have such tiny rooms so we didn’t expect much. Basic amenities given, and if you need extra things like combs or shavers you can get them at the lobby. They said there was free coffee and donuts there 24/7 but every time we came down there was never any donuts lol. Receptionist also helped us to book a luggage delivery 👍🏼

Hotel is stone throw from two of the major POA, Kuroman market and Dotonbori, and Kintetsu-Nippombashi Station where one can escape the weather element anf shop till Osaka Namba station....The hotel has everything you need and the packet Kopi aka Coffee is good. The hotel provide free umbrella too in case there is rain

Peace and convenience are the biggest reasons why I chose this hotel. The location is very good, close to Kuromon Market, and you can also walk to Namba and Shinsaibashi and other places. It is convenient for walking, eating, and taking the Airport Railway to the airport. The room is not too small. The bathroom and toilet are separate. There is also a bathtub, which is nice to take a dip after walking around. But the amount of hot water is insufficient and needs improvement.

The location is unbeatable, multiple convenience stores around, 7-10min walk to Dotonburi and various stations, lots of restaurants and quiet streets at night time. The hotel also has a cafeteria with free tea, water, melon soda, coca cola and other refreshments that are available 24/7. The room itself is simple but very comfortable and has everything you could need. Rooms are cleaned daily and amenities replenished too, even if you opt out of cleaning by sticking a ”Do not clean” magnet on the door, they then put everything in a bag and hang it on the handle. The staff is mostly professional, speak decent English and the check-in/out process was easy. Where it loses points is due to the following: On one of our big days out exploring, we came back to the hotel at around 8PM. The Front Lobby was filled with a big and disorganised Chinese group/family of 12-16 people who were scattered throughout the lobby. They did not all have a hotel key card, I know this because there was an employee by the escalator using his key on the elevator to send up them to their rooms. So my girlfriend and I got our keys out, got to the front of the other elevator and showed our cards as a way of gesturing if we could go up. The employee rejected us and we got the idea that we had to wait. Now I don't know about you, but I don't see why I need to wait for something that isn't my problem. Their lobby was littered and the tourists were being loud and screaming at eachother from across the room. We were not going to wait. Line them up in front of one elevator and use the other one for people who are entering and exiting, and if no one is entering and exiting, then let them use both elevators. Such unprofessionalism. We decided to leave and go for a walk and kill time at the local convienience store, but it definitely ruined our day and experience with the hotel. Another reason is I asked if they could make a restaurant reservation on my behalf, the bird cafe that I wanted to go to had a registration and booking process that was not friendly for tourists. It required me to write my Japanese Name for some reason, as well as phone number. The hotel said they could not make such reservations for me. I ended up walking in and was lucky it was a weekday and it wasn't as packed. Also be sure to check how many adults is listed on the room you plan to book, I didn't check properly and mine said 1 Adult, even though it fits 2 and the amenities were stocked for 2, this mistake of mine cost me 14,000yen (2000yen a day) because I had my girlfriend with me.

Prime location. Located at Namba Station (Exit B21) with 2 way escalator. Came in from Kyoto and it was definitely easy to move the luggage on the escalators compared to carrying up the stairs. Nankai Railway also within a 6mins walk, also allow easy access to reach airport from hotel. Room is large for Japan's expectation. My family were quite shocked with the spacious room as our previous trips to Japan booked at the similar pricing only allow a portion of the room size. Breakfast is decent but 5 nights in, we got sick of the options. Only changes made to the mains (pasta/noodle). Others like takoyaki, is a staple since its japan. Hotel can get pretty crowded, so breakfast can queue up long line. Front desk is hard to communicate with, as per mentioned. I booked 4 rooms under my name for my group of 11 pax. In the noon when we reached from kyoto, the front desk lady (who speaks english) told us the bookings are confirmed but the rooms are not ready so we left our luggages with the hotel. We returned at night to 2 japanese guy whom speaks no english. When we tried to help after waiting for close to 15minutes, we were shush because they got confused of my booking (1 quad, 1 triple, 1 double, 1 twin room) Select Rooms

this was such a nice, clean, quiet and modern hostel. out of all the hostels I have stayed at in Osaka this was the cleanest, most modern and reasonably priced. also, it came with cute pajamas. the owner was kind and helpful. next time I come to Osaka I will stay again smile 😊 정말 멋지고 깨끗하고 조용하고 현대적인 호스텔이었습니다. 제가 오사카에서 머물렀던 모든 호스텔 중에서 가장 깨끗하고 현대적이며 합리적인 가격이었습니다. 그리고 귀여운 잠옷도 함께 왔어요. 주인은 친절하고 도움이 되었습니다. 다음에 오사카에 오면 또 묵을거에요 스마일 😊

The breakfast includes bread, coffee and juice, which you can eat all you want. There is also a microwave and oven for heating. The staff are also very friendly and eager to answer any questions you may have. It is very close to the Namba business district and the station, so it is super convenient! The bed is very comfortable, very comfortable. I fell asleep as soon as I lay down after being tired from shopping these days. Thank you for your hospitality these days. I had a great trip to Osaka. I will come again next time🤩

Great location. Very near to Dotonburi as well as the Nipponbashi Station. The staff was helpful and mindful. The room was bigger than expectation. Overall was satisfying during the stay of 4 nights.

Location wise pretty good as it was a good walking distance from Dotonbori! (glico man) But roads below were very noisy and there were ambulance every night which u can clearly hear, not the cleanest street below as well but no complaints otherwise

Exceptional service - the front desk helped me to arrange taxi to the airport and it was not easy because they were fully booked. The person tried many times and finally found a taxi for us, much to our relief. The front desk is trained to ask all the right questions, staying calm. They also helped to receive my transferred luggage from another hotel. All timely and accurately. It deserved a 6 star for such exceptional service. The hotel ambience has a calming effect as it is dark but lighted on the areas that you need to see. We have no problem even though some people commented on it. Great location Room size is comfortable and considered a fair size, in fact, slightly larger and well planned. Breakfast has a good spread. Think it is great to open at 6.30 am as it gives maximum time to have an early start. Highly recommended for couple and families.
