The receptionist, Xiao Shang, was incredibly efficient at check-in, greeting me with a smile throughout, and was both warm and attentive. The hotel's tranquil environment is perfect for a relaxing vacation, making me feel right at home.
What's even more impressive are the details of the service. Every staff member I encountered in the hallway greeted me proactively with a genuine and warm smile. The breakfast was a delightful surprise, with a rich variety of Chinese and Western dishes, fresh fruits, and pastries—everything you could want.
From the efficient and attentive front desk service to the ubiquitous warm greetings, and the heartfelt breakfast, every detail reflects meticulous attention to detail! Environment: Located right next to the scenic spot, just a 10-minute walk straight ahead. You can even enjoy the view from your room in the morning; it's situated right at the foot of the mountain. My husband loved it and said it deserves a rave review. Highly recommended!
Service: The owners are incredibly helpful! It's a husband-and-wife business! The first time we went, we took the wrong route and got off at Yeshanpo. The owners picked us up in the middle of the night and took us to Bailixia! So touching! The owner even personally picked us up! Truly highly recommended! Rest assured, you won't be disappointed! Service is the most crucial factor!

LLuquanliuruThis is absolutely a hidden gem! I was driving from Jinan to Datong, planning a two-day trip, and decided to stop in Laiyuan for a rest. I never expected to find such a beautiful courtyard; I didn't want to go back inside while strolling around. The owners, a husband and wife, were incredibly welcoming and patient, and they had a whole yard full of flowers and plants, including a century-old peony. They even bought some local specialties for breakfast, which was delicious and very satisfying. In the evening, I watched the large-scale light show with iron flower fireworks and water jetpack performances at Laiyuan Lake, along with a band performance. I didn't feel tired even after playing until 10 pm. It was even more fun than a planned trip! I regret not taking more photos of the guesthouse; it was very clean. I would definitely come back again.

Very very clean, and the service attitude is benchmarked against Haidilao 👍🏻, it is more convenient to have everything around the hotel, the restaurant is cooked a lot on the day, and it is clean and hygienic. I am used to staying in the hotel and watching it. The laundry room is also great. What do you know about asking the service staff, answering and helping are very timely. Cost-effective, recommended

GGuest UserThis stay truly exceeded all expectations. As foreigners visiting Citadines Baoding for the first time, the overall experience couldn’t have been better — it was absolutely top-notch 👍.
From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted with a sense of warmth and genuine hospitality. The front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful and attentive.
The hotel also provides a complimentary fruit platter, which was a very nice and thoughtful touch. The room is well equipped with a capsule coffee machine, and there is even a washing machine inside the room, making the stay especially convenient for families and longer visits.
Another major highlight is the room layout. In addition to the bedroom, there is a separate small living area. This design is a big plus — my husband can watch TV or work in the living space without disturbing my rest, which greatly enhances comfort and privacy.
Overall, whether it was the attention to detail at the front desk, the comfort and quality of the accommodation, or the excellent food and beverage service, this hotel truly delivered on all fronts. It’s absolutely an ideal choice for business or families traveling with children, and we would highly recommend Citadines to anyone visiting Baoding.

Uuljjatxa121I stayed for two nights during the Qingming Festival, and the service was excellent. After booking, a butler contacted me to register my car plate number and other details. The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to a mall with plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options. It's also just a few kilometers' drive from Xiong'an Xinma Forest Park. Let's talk about the facilities first: I went with my child, and there's a playground in B1. They even added an extra 'naughty castle' during the holiday, which my child absolutely loved. The children's play area is quite small, really only suitable for one to two-year-olds to play in briefly. The two building block tables had a limited number of toys, so I'd suggest adding more. There are also some electronic entertainment facilities that require tokens to play. There are two heated children's pools, but they are a bit small. I wouldn't recommend going if it's crowded, as it would be like 'dumplings in a pot.'
Next, breakfast: if you go around 9 AM, you'll have to queue for about 15 minutes, but they opened two restaurants, so the efficiency was still decent. I only had breakfast at the Chinese restaurant. The variety wasn't extensive, and the taste was average, but it was sufficient.
Finally, the rooms: we stayed on the 8th floor and booked two rooms. One of them still had a bit of a new renovation smell. After I mentioned it to the butler, they promptly brought an air purifier and even a fruit plate as an apology. Anyway, the service was quite reassuring. I'll definitely stay here again when the weather gets warmer.

As soon as I entered the lobby, I felt warm and comfortable, the decoration was simple and atmospheric, the environment was clean and tidy, the staff was warm and courteous, the check-in was fast and smooth, and there was no extra waiting throughout the process. The room is spacious, the lighting is sufficient, the bedding is soft and clean, the mattress is very comfortable, and the rest is particularly good at night. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, the toiletries are complete, and the details are very careful. The hotel's hygiene is in place, the corners are clean and comfortable, making people feel at ease. The location is excellent, the travel is convenient, and the surrounding dining and shopping are very convenient. The front desk service responds promptly, any needs can be solved quickly, and the service is intimate and professional. Whether it is the environment, health or service, it is far beyond expectations, the price is very high, it is highly recommended to stay, and I will choose here next time. It is worthy of five-star praise!

BBig FheezohI'm a business tourist from the USA, stayed at this hotel almost 2 weeks and they all made me feel at home. This hotel excels in customer service...and I don't say that lightly. I've stayed in almost 12 different hotels in my extensive travels across China and in general, hotel personnel attitudes tend to be cold, formal and impersonal. But staff at this hotel....from front desk, to restaurant and cleaning staff are very personable, warm and friendly. The ladies at the front desk are super sweet, kind, friendly and helpful. The lady that checked me in was very nice. Another front desk lady (she told me not to mention her name) went out of her way to spend hours on the phone and online to help me resolve some serious online order logistics issues because I don't speak Chinese. If I was looking for a Chinese wife, I woulda sly slid a wedding ring on her finger before she knows what hit her 😜😂
I sure 'nuff enjoyed my stay....and heck yeah I'll be back!!!
