Since we came from Yubeng Village and didn't rent a car, the hotel's location was indeed much more suitable for self-driving. Fortunately, the hotel accommodated these inconveniences. The hotel was renovated from an abandoned elementary school, but the overall feel is like a designer's new creation. The amenities were excellent. In addition to the essentials, there was a tea table by the large window facing the mountains. The bed was large, and our room wasn't arranged side by side, but rather one side by one, which was quite unique and even involved a fight over it. The laundry service was thoughtful, and they even delivered goodnight milk in the evening. I also commend the breakfast, which offered both Chinese and Western options. It was one of the most comfortable and freshest breakfasts I've had in Yunnan these past few days, and the Western dishes were very satisfying. The hotel is located in a village group of only eight households, a quiet place with both activity and tranquility. The villagers are simple and shy, and after a walk, I joined them in circumambulating the Buddhist scriptures. Nearby are the Baima Snow Mountain, perfect for hiking, the Niding Line, perfect for children, and numerous wineries. The town itself is famous for the story of a French grandmother. Driving on your own is definitely more enjoyable, but mountain roads require some driving skills. Time is limited, so I'll definitely make up for this regret next time I drive on my own.

What made Meili unforgettable for me wasn't just the blessing of the sacred mountains and the stunning 'Golden Mountain in the Sun' spectacle. A significant part of it was also the warmth and service from every staff member at Ji Xia Shan. No matter when or where, everyone I encountered greeted me not with a standardized, robotic smile, but with a genuinely bright and warm one. There was the unlimited supply of butter tea, the enthusiastic yet shy breakfast guy, the thoughtful and respectful housekeeper sister, the handsome young man on the fourth-floor viewing deck who taught us time-lapse photography, and the auntie who kept asking if we had enough food even after loading our breakfast plates... This wasn't just a place to stay; it felt more like a warm home. When we left in the car, everyone stood at the door waving goodbye, and for the first time, I felt an immense reluctance to leave a hotel, tears flowing uncontrollably. This trip not only received the blessing of the sacred mountains but also embraced the warmth of Ji Xia Shan. I believe these memories will support me through countless moments, inspiring me to strive for even better things. Tashi Delek!

Fantastic, fabulous, and fascinating! This homestay in Benzilan is pure magic! The location is serene, the accommodation spotless, and the people—simply outstanding. The hosts treat you like family, always smiling and going the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. Honestly, leaving this place is the hardest part! It’s hands down my best stay in Yunnan. I stayed in a basic room, and the package was a great value. The public areas offer even better spots for taking photos with the snowy mountains in the background! The sixth floor has the best views, while the third floor is perfect for reflection shots. The ground floor is also nice, but it would be even better if the hotel could manage the large glass windows on the first floor during sunrise – otherwise, you'll get a lot of cars in your photos. In the evening, the fifth floor is a great spot, and the bartender there is super friendly! The food was filling, and breakfast was decent with some local specialty side dishes. Most importantly, I got to see the 'golden mountain under the morning sun,' so overall I'm very satisfied. The Puerh tea at the front desk was also delicious. They have sachet-making activities at 9 AM and 9 PM daily! A sachet costs 58 RMB in Dukezong Ancient City. The travel photography service is also pretty good, as the hotel has many photogenic spots. I did my own makeup, then changed into the hotel's clothes. The lighting is excellent around 9 AM and 6 PM. I ended up choosing a dozen photos for 1088 RMB, which was a bit pricey. One minor drawback: oxygen supply isn't available during the day, and even when it is, the intensity feels a bit weak. I had some trouble sleeping the first night. It only got better after I propped up my upper body and opened the window a bit. Also, without the underfloor heating on, it was still a bit warm.

This hotel is a must-stay if you're visiting Meili Snow Mountain. The terrace offers stunning views, and we were incredibly lucky to witness the 'Thirteen Peaks bathed in Sunlight' at the very end of the rainy season. The breakfast, personally prepared by the owner, was exquisite and filling, served individually to each guest with the finesse of a French meal. Each room also came with binoculars, allowing us to see the intricate details of the glacier. The only minor downsides were the occasional loud passing trucks on the street, though it quieted down significantly at night, and the water heater which sometimes got excessively hot.

This stay was absolutely fantastic, truly deserving of a full five-star rating! The biggest fear when traveling is a bad accommodation experience, but this one completely exceeded my expectations. The overall feeling was incredibly comfortable, and the value for money was outstanding. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone planning a trip. What impressed me most was the exceptionally thoughtful service. The owner is incredibly warm and approachable, making communication a breeze. They meticulously provided check-in instructions, directions, and local travel tips in advance. Any questions I had were answered patiently and promptly, with a gentle and sincere attitude, never feeling perfunctory. It was incredibly heartwarming from the moment I arrived, completely dispelling any sense of unfamiliarity or distance. The accommodation itself was also a delightful surprise – clean, tidy, cozy, and comfortable. The room had great natural light and ventilation, a sensible layout, and felt spacious without being cramped. The hygiene was impeccable; the bed was soft and clean, the bedding was odorless, and the bathroom was dry and neat. Even the corners were spotless. All essential amenities were provided and in good working order, making the stay very convenient and hassle-free. Plus, the location is incredibly convenient for getting around, dining, and shopping. The surrounding area is quiet and peaceful, ensuring a perfectly undisturbed night's sleep. I compared many accommodations, and this one truly excels in terms of environment, hygiene, and service. The attention to detail is evident, clearly showing how dedicated the owners are to running this business. The overall stay experience was perfect, with absolutely no complaints. I paid a reasonable price for an amazing experience – the value for money is off the charts. I sincerely believe this place is highly recommendable. I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit to the area and will recommend it to all my traveling friends and family! Wishing the owners a prosperous business and continued success!

I genuinely think this is the best value-for-money hotel in Feilai Temple! Absolutely worth it! The room was small but had everything I needed. I booked it last minute after deciding to arrive a day earlier. It was very warm, clean, and the facilities were new. The service was also excellent; both the front desk and the owner were very polite. I would have extended my stay if they weren't fully booked today.

The room was cozy, clean, and comfortable, with a tasteful decor throughout. The underfloor heating and diffused oxygen supply meant we didn't have to worry about altitude sickness at all. The staff were warm and friendly! There's also a cafe and an observation deck on the top floor where you can see Baima Snow Mountain and Feilai Temple. The afternoon sun was perfect for photos, and the scenery was absolutely stunning! The hotel's location isn't far from the Meili Snow Mountain observation deck, so transportation is very convenient. There's a snack street near the Feilai Temple observation deck, and watching the snow-capped mountains in the evening is beautiful—highly recommended! The hotel's restaurant is on the first floor, which is super convenient if you don't feel like going out in the cold.

They say you might not see the ”Golden Mountain in the Sun” in October, so I booked this place to avoid wasting money on a view that might not deliver. Turns out, we actually saw it! Super worth it!! The location is right next to where the bus drops you off, so it's a very easy walk, and close to the Feilai Temple viewing platform. The room was unbelievably spacious, and the underfloor heating worked perfectly. There are only four or five rooms, and the view is absolutely stunning. The owner is very simple and enthusiastic. I highly recommend this for anyone hoping to catch the Golden Mountain but worried about a wasted 4-hour drive if they miss it. The accommodation quality is easily more than triple that of other scenic hotels at the same price point, and the courtyard itself can help ease any disappointment if you don't see the sunrise. Let's talk about the downsides: 1. Feilai Temple is currently under construction, so there are large vehicles at night. I personally wasn't bothered by the noise, but I can't guarantee others wouldn't be. This seems to be a common issue for hotels along this road. 2. The room was very clean and tidy, but I wasn't a fan of the air freshener scent. My partner didn't notice it, though. 3. There were some really large flies. I hope the owner can improve pest control. Although they'll probably freeze to death in a few days, seeing them definitely puts a damper on the mood.

Getting to the hotel requires turning off National Highway 214 onto a village road, which was completely dark at night. At that moment, I regretted booking this place. However, after driving down that small road for about 5 minutes, we finally arrived, and I immediately felt that my choice was actually a good one. Once we entered the room, my worries completely disappeared! The room felt like a 4-star standard and, thankfully, was smoke-free. Even better, each room had a copy of the 'Brief Introduction to Diqing Prefecture,' a very professional, detailed, and comprehensive book that helps you quickly and systematically understand the area. The hotel restaurant's food was good (though a bit salty for us southerners). The prices weren't cheap, around 50 RMB per person, but given the generous portions, I wouldn't say it was expensive. The main benefit was not having to go out to eat, which saved time and effort. The hotel's environment and ambiance were perfect; it truly felt like a manor. I heard it used to be a vineyard that later upgraded to tourism services. Because it's far from the town and main road, it's incredibly quiet, and you can even see the peak of Meili Snow Mountain directly from here.
