Hotels with Parking in Otaru

This was the best hotel of our trip. From check-in to check-out, we felt the warmth and saw the smiles of the staff throughout. The included dinner was delicious and exquisite. The set breakfast was also pretty good. The hotel offers a variety of entertainment activities and facilities, so you won't get bored at all, and the environment is beautiful. The only downside is that the soundproofing isn't great; you can hear doors opening and closing from upstairs and next door.

The food was delicious, and the large public bath was simply fantastic. Despite being the priciest hotel I've ever stayed at, I definitely felt it was worth every penny.

This isn't my first time staying at a Dormy Inn; I stayed at one in Kumamoto previously and absolutely loved it. The Otaru location is right in front of the station, which is super convenient. So, I didn't hesitate to choose Dormy Inn again. They offer complimentary Yakult and ice cream, which my child adored. The free ramen served as a late-night snack was a light soy sauce broth, easy on the stomach. Breakfast quality is outstanding, featuring seafood donburi, soup curry, tempura, grilled seafood, Hokkaido milk, and local specialties. Many hotels serve frozen fruit, but Dormy Inn offers fresh fruit!

I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and included two bottles of water, coffee, and tea. While the view overlooked a blank space behind the building, the quality of the bed and pillows was excellent. I found the bathroom to be slightly larger than expected. The reception area was spacious, and the staff were friendly and spoke English, which made communication easy. There were two breakfast options available: Western and Japanese. I personally chose the Japanese breakfast, priced at 3,000 Yen. The quality and portion were good. The hotel is conveniently located within a 10-minute walk from Otaru JR Station, as well as Sakaimachi Hondori Street and Otaru Canal. Additionally, there is a convenience store directly across the street, along with several night restaurants. I did find the price a bit high, possibly due to the Otaru Snow Light Path Festival taking place during my stay. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its comfort and location.

Facilities: The hotel is quite old, and while the facilities are in good condition, they aren't exactly modern. Surprisingly, there's a vintage audio system that plays music with a great ambiance from a bygone era. The sound quality also has that classic feel, which I loved. It's definitely worth experiencing this unique charm that other hotels don't offer. Service: Standard hotel service, but they upgraded my room without me even asking, which was a nice touch! Transportation: Even though the hotel is on a mountaintop, they offer a shuttle service to the nearest JR station, which is a huge plus. The Otaru Aquarium is just a few steps away, and the dolphin show is fantastic, plus the penguins are adorable. Scenery: This hotel probably boasts the most unique coastal cliff views in Otaru. It's truly postcard-worthy, and the best part is being able to enjoy it while soaking in the hot spring during the day. The scenery is beautiful and enjoyable. At night, however, you can't see anything. Hygiene: Standard hotel cleanliness. Food: I only stayed overnight and didn't try the food.

Facilities: There are microwaves and refrigerators in the public area, but please note that the refrigerator is small and cannot hold large items. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: The small window in the room is surprising, and it feels like an oil painting when you look out. The location is far from Otaru Station/Otaru Canal/Otaru South Station, etc. You need to take a bus to get there. There is a bus stop less than 1 minute away from the hotel. It is relatively close to Tengu Mountain and can be reached on foot. The hotel host provides pick-up and drop-off services to the above-mentioned places during the time period of 16:00-22:00.

Terrible service! On a snowy day, they kept saying there was no transportation, but I clearly saw the Line 13 bus passing by. I don't recommend staying here. Plus, their English isn't good, making communication difficult.

If you are not driving, this place is a best place to stay with as overall house amenities are comfortable, modern and feeling good. But for anyone driving there, do consider again as the journey towards to the carpark are slippery, more than 10degree slope, it is dangerous and scarry to me eventhough equipped with snow tyre even though for myself that have been driving in many countries in Europe, Asia and Australia.

The hotel's location is convenient, and the room was spacious, bright, and clean. However, the facilities were a huge disappointment. The elevator was out of order, so I had to carry my luggage up and down the stairs myself. While I could overlook the lack of a TV in the room, the refrigerator was completely broken and didn't cool at all. As for service, since it's self-service, I didn't see any staff. I left a message for the hotel about the broken fridge, but no one replied. It wasn't until check-out that I met a gentleman who spoke Mandarin. I hope the hotel can follow up on these issues if they want to retain repeat customers.
