Amazing
TTravelTheSkyGreat experience ! Front desk staff was welcoming, room was very clean and interior was beautiful. Only stayed there one night for a concert but I would love to return to this hotel. One weird thing: the tv remotes might have been connected/interfering with other rooms? In the middle of the night it seemed as if someone else was controlling the volume and it was hard to adjust besides turning the TV off manually.
AAnonymous UserThe room is clean, the location is good, the soundproofing is good, and it is very safe. The front desk guy was very enthusiastic and showed me how to park. It was a good experience. An unforgettable trip to Milwaukee
GGuest UserGreat location downtown across from the Baird Center. The bed was comfy which I've come to expect from Marriott and they even had feather pillows - another plus. Nice bathroom and shower. Breakfast was good with multiple choices. That's where the pluses end! We had a conference to attend at 3 so we wanted to check in at 2; one hour before 'check in' technically begins. We were told our room was ready and she took our cc information, etc. but then we were told we would be charged $15 for early check in - seriously?! Don't tell me my room is ready and then charge me to use it! They offered to store our luggage but was afraid what that charge would be so we left it in our car. She did not like that we self parked right across the street either- in the same parking facility the valet uses. When we returned from our conference at 7:00 pm, our reserved king suite was no longer available and we would have to settle for 2 queen beds. In addition, the information the front desk person had taken earlier was no where to be found. Now the gentleman had trouble completing the reservation and had to start over several times. He finally gave us a queen suite which was the weirdest configuration I've ever seen. And there was no alarm clock, no lotion, and the TV resolution was terrible. I was told Marriott was tired of people leaving alarms set for the next people occupying the room so they no longer put them in rooms. (Really! The first thing I do in a hotel is check the alarm clock to make sure it isn't set!) Lotion is available but you have to ask for it at the front desk - but they don't tell you that until you check out! We will not be staying at this Springhill Suites again when in Milwaukee.
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel was in close proximity (5-minute walking distance) to the venue we were attending at the Fiserv Forum. There were many restaurants within close proximity to the hotel as well. The room was just ok. The bathroom door in the room was broken, and the hotel could use some updates. We did not have much interaction with the front desk, but staff was polite during check in/ out. Valet was pleasant and offered to help assist with bags. Overall, the say was nice given the reason for the visit. I would not stay there for more than a weekend, because the hotel is downtown and you hear sirens all day.
GGuest UserFor a 2 star hotel, you get exactly what you pay for. So while I can’t complain, just know what you’re signing up for and don’t have above average expectations. Had no issues with staff and appreciate the well lit parking lot with cameras (we’ve had our car broken into multiple times in MKE so this meant a lot to us). Room was decently clean but dog fur was very much present as well as someone’s hair on the pillows.
GGuest UserNo frills hotel, meets the basic needs.
First night walking on the carpet in our room barefoot & the carpet seemed damp, like maybe they steam cleaned it. I used the pull out couch for my 5 year old, when setting it up I noticed a heavily wet spot in the carpet by the mini fridge, the pullout is fine for kids that can sleep on anything but I found it too thin to even comfortably sit on.
By morning the wet spot by the fridge was even bigger, we informed the front desk & they said they'd let maintenance know to go up to check, to our knowledge they never did.
The pool was nice & luke warm at all times, they use salt water which is nicer than the chemical smell of chlorine.
The included breakfast buffet is ok. The waffle maker is always a hit with kids. We recommend skipping the eggs and sausage, they gave us tummy troubles. Coffee was awful according to my husband & tea provided is just plain Lipton.
Location right off the expressway is great, travel to downtown events was less than 15 minutes away. Plenty of stores & restaurants nearby.
For a fully booked weekend stay it was very quiet.
We would consider going here again for the price, pool & location.
GGuest UserFirst off, the signage for parking attached to the hotel was poor. The access to the hotel from the parking ramp was not labeled very well. There is nothing on the web site that states where the parking ramp access is. And the ramp as not full size truck friendly. The exercise room was in disrepair. Only 1 of the 2 elevators worked. Although I did not have have time to use the pool or hot tub, they were very small.
The room was clean, and the water pressure was good. The continental breakfast was very good. And it was only a leisurely walk to the Fiserv Forum.
GGuest UserThe whole experience was good except for the fact that it is under construction so the ice machine doesn't work the room was dirty when I got to it there was trash under the couch, it basically had to be cleaned so we had to clean it ourselves. And the restaurant that's attached to the hotel is a rip off but other than that it was decent.
GGuest UserThe room and location were great--the guests were not. Walls were super thing and sounds like there were multiple parties happening. When I complained about the noise to the front desk, they asked me ”well what do you want me to do?” Also the morning person for check out was very rude when I asked for a receipt.
