Novotel Phuket Kata Avista Resort and Spa

Kata Beach Phuket|0.64km from Kata Night Market
Reserved the Deluxe Seaview Room for 5D4N with my husband. From check in till check out, the service was exceptional. The receptionist (Mon) was fluent in english and escorted us to our room on the 5th floor. Unlike other hotels around, there’s an elevator in this hotel so you don’t have to worry about climbing the stairs. The bellboy also helped carry our luggage into the room and load our luggage into the car when we check out. Lobby: Cozy, with many sofas, pool table & foosball table. Room: Spacious room with partial sea view from the balcony. It also feels great to sleep on the cozy king bed after a full day tour. The TV only has cable channels, but we’re mostly outside so it wasn’t much of an issue. All the light switches & alarm clock is by the bedside which is very convenient. Smoking: They provide ashtray to smoke on the balcony. Bathroom: Spacious & clean, with bidet spray. Shower area & bathtub is separated. The water heater is easily adjustable and heats up very fast. Toiletries such as shampoo, shower gel & toothbrush is provided. Breakfast: Buffet style breakfast with Asian & Western cuisine. If you’re a muslim, do note that there are some pork dishes. You can avoid eating the porridge/bacon/meat. Surrounding: The hotel is situated on top of the hill away from the hustle & bustle. Hourly shuttle van to Kata Beach is provided for free. It’s possible to walk to the beach as it’s only 5 minutes away. However the slope is quite steep. There’s so much to explore while walking. Kata Walking Street & Karon Plaza/Beach is within walkable distance from the hotel. There’s also restaurants, ATM, minimarts, clothing stores & bars nearby. Central Phuket & Jungceylon is around 20-30 minutes by car. It takes about 1-2 hours to get here from Phuket International Airport depending on the traffic. Activities: VR games, yoga, cooking class & underwater scooter rental are available at additional cost. Staff: Very polite, friendly and fluent in English. Always greeted us with a smile. The restaurant staffs are very service oriented & housekeeping did a fantastic job in making up our room everyday. Cons: Insects on the balcony, especially lizards at night. Just close the balcony door & it won’t enter the room. Overall we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel.

Malisa Villa’s Kata

Kata Beach Phuket|0.88km from Kata Night Market
Upon arrival at the hotel the staff were friendly and inviting. We were checked in and given information about breakfast and room service. We were then taken to our villa by golf buggy. We were shown our villa and the various areas and controls for them and then left to settle in. We were also told the mini bar contents was free and refreshed each day (2 cabs of coke, 2 water, small pack of oreos and a kitkat). At first glance it is a lovely hotel and the pool jets were fun. On closer inspection it became disappointing and didn’t improve, more on that in a sec. At breakfast there was a menu to select one item from and the portions were massive and tasted very nice. There was also a large buffet selection you could help yourself to. Fresh tea and coffee was available upon request. On arrival we advised we had an early morning which would start before breakfast opened. We were offered a takeaway breakfast that would be waiting at reception for us. The next morning upon arrival it was apparent that the order had been forgotten. Breakfast had opened by this time and we had to quickly shove some food down us while our driver waited for us. That evening we enjoyed our pool but it wasn’t in the cleanest condition with debris at the bottom and leaves floating on the surface. On the first evening after check-in, I was walking around the villa and caught the bottom of my foot on a sharp part of the wooden floor. I did advise the staff the next morning on our way out for the day and it was fixed by the time we returned. However the injury did cause pain and irritation for the remainder of the holiday as it was on the bottom of my foot. Upon returning from our first day out we found that our room had been cleaned but they had removed our dirty towels and not replaced them with new. I had to contact reception to request fresh ones. They had also turned off the air-con that we had left on to ensure the room was cool when we returned. The following day I decided to have a bath to sooth my sun burn and found that the tap to the bath was broken and there was just a small stick pointing out for me to use to control the temp and flow. We also realised that we were lucky enough to have booked a villa with a pool, as the hotel does not have a communal one and not all villas have there own. For the rating of the hotel and the price we paid it was a little disappointing. The staff remained cheerful and helpful for the duration of our stay but the issues did dampen our experience.

Traveling through Phuket, I drove to this hotel for 3 days and stayed on 3. It was important for me to have a close location of the gym as I am a pedestrian tourist, without a bike. The hall right across the road and on it still in the hotel give a 20% discount. The guy Stephen on the respiratory super friendly, and the room replaced without a refrigerator on the balcony and gave a spray from mosquitoes when asked. In general, he was very responsive to any request. Immediately in front of the hotel is a small Buddhist temple and a religious festival took place on the date of my stay, fed for free a very delicious vegan food for all days. Cleaning in the super room every day. Bed every 3 days. I was even embarrassed by the girls as they neatly arranged my scattered cosmetics and cans. ) The hotel is not on the central road so it is quiet enough at night. 7/11 right behind the corner. Personally I sleep in all hotels and in this too prevents what with the air conditioner is cold and without it hot. Stephen gave me a normal fan in the room. It was better with him. And still in the morning the cock shouted loudly.) The beds are tough, but I like such. To the beach 10-15 on foot. It is better of course to take a bike and go to all beaches. The parking in the hotel is. In general for the budget hotel is very good.

This hotel is situated in a quiet street in kata Only a very short walk to the beach & all the bars & restaurants.. also a great little cocktail bus just outside! The hotel itself provided a comfortable stay … Positives * location .. close to beach * rooms cleaned daily *good wifi *gym Negatives *mediocre breakfast * short staffed pool bar not open until 5 you must use the cafe over the road for drinks * no hand soap provided in room!!! * staff were friendly enough but didn’t feel they went above & beyond to make the holiday ( you would be lucky if anybody was ever around! ) All in all an okay hotel but probably would nit stay again as I’m sure there are better options available

Great location to the beaches. Near the hotel there is a daily band that plays and ends around 10pm along with food stalls. We skipped the food stalls and ate at Orchid House restaurant. Lot tastier and reasonably priced. During our 4 day stay, as others has mentioned: July, the breakfast manager really exudes Thai hospitality. In fact, since working and living in Phuket, July really is so enthused about the Phuket experience that he puts out informative videos: Khun July channel. Worth checking out if you wanna explore some of Thailand/Phuket hot spots.

I really enjoyed this stay! WeKata luxury is such a nice hotel! The bottons you can press for “do not disturb” and service this room are Great! The staff (MeeMee, Nam, Mr. m, and Mook) were SOOOO helpful our whole entire trip! The room we had was equipped with clean and well maintained kitchen and cookware. The one bedroom suite was nice, spacious and comfortable! The room had some slippers and umbrella for borrowing (do not take them away). The hotel is conveniently located near th Smart bus and blue bus stops (which are around 30 or more baht per ride). There are many great restaurants, mini Marts, and laundry store (just in front of the hotel). Most nights there are also street barbecue, bar and tables outside with great music. The on-site restaurant has an adequate breakfast If need something. The pools are clean and well Maintained especially the rooftop Bar which also has a happy hour at times It was Such a great stay and

The hotel is quite new. The location is great. The breakfasts are excellent: poached eggs, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, etc. Fruits, noodles, rice. Coffee, croissants. The room (I would call it an apartment) is not bad. BUT! When we booked the room, it was not indicated anywhere that we would be accommodated in a room overlooking the construction site. This information is not available anywhere. There's a construction site nearby. We asked the reception to change our room. To which we received the answer “3,500 thousand baht.” And they do it on purpose. They put you in a room with a view of the construction site, and then demand a decent amount for the same room, but without the construction site nearby. And it would be okay with the view, but at 6 in the morning I realized all the “charm” of the construction site. Everything is rattling and noisy. It's impossible to sleep. This is a huge minus for the hotel! The floor in the room was never washed the entire time. Never!!!! The pool on the roof is tired - chipped, rusted.

From March 1 to March 18, the couple rested at the Orchid Hotel. The city hotel, no territory, but very cozy! All the room needed was a fan, air conditioner, a refrigerator, a teapot, a plumbing machine worked well.Staff very friendly and executive, any requests were immediately resolved.Cleaning is daily, quality.Everywhere clean and order! The Cata Beach was a rush-up step - 15 minutes, the Caron - 20 minutes. The Caron was swimming at the stones with a mask - there were many colorful fish! Next to the hotel are shops, night markets, massage salons - all around. Breakfasts at the hotel were included, at the choice - continental, Thai, European, delicious, plus always attached fruit.Prepared in the hotel delicious, tourists from other hotels came to eat at our hotel for lunch and dinner. We had dinner every day in nearby cafes, everywhere about the same price, everything was delicious. We had dinner often on the balcony of our room and the metal fence did not prevent us.Take a one-day tour to the islands (Thai Maldives) .Very enjoyed - the sand is snowy, the sea is chic!
