Asterion Suites & Spa - Designed for Adults

We came to Asterion on our honeymoon and it went above and beyond our expectations. We wanted sun, sea, and relaxation and we got exactly that. The beach is a stones throw form the resort. There are bar men waiting to take your order from early till late. They even bring the drinks pool or beach side to you. The room was immaculate on arrival and housekeeping kept it that way our entire stay. Each afternoon we would get a knock on the door from the staff asking was everything ok and proclaiming “chocolate time”, and we would then be given a small bar of chocolate. Upon arrival we were given wine and cake (unsure if this is common practice or just because we were on honeymoon) which was very thoughtful and enjoyable. The food was amazing. Prepared fresh everyday. Buffet style breakfast with plenty of choices from hot food, cold food and fresh fruit. Lunch was a la carte but plenty of options. Dinner was a choice of buffet or a la carte. Both have great options. The lamb shank stood out for me on the a la carte dinner menu. The staff could not do enough for us on our stay. The most friendliest of people I’ve ever met on my travels. They continuously went above and beyond our entire stay. I have very little to no criticism of our stay as it hit the nail on the head with what we wanted. If you’re looking for rest and relaxation this is the place for you. We got the all inclusive package to ensure we didn’t need to leave the resort. Many thanks to George and all at Asterion for the amazing time and we hope to get back again next season.

Beautiful views that were just steps away from the beach. We enjoyed the hotel felt “smaller” (in a good way) and was a boutique feel. We had a room that overlooked the ocean, others had private (or connected) pools and/or small living rooms. The staff were also super friendly and welcoming. The morning breakfast was an amazing way to wake up.

A gem of a hotel. The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean, the bed is uber comfy and the WiFi is strong! The staff are incredibly friendly, the restaurant is truly elite! Amazing selection of drinks at the pool side bar and breakfast has an epic selection! Couldn't recommend more!

This was quite easily the best luxery hotel I've ever stayed in. I had the pleasure of spending 11 amazing nights at this hotel and the service was exceptional. Katerina welcomed me every day at breakfast with a massive smile on her face. All the bar staff were very attentive especially Antonis who mixes amazing cocktails. The manager George also came and spoke to me every day. Overall the location was stunning and the quality of the food was simply outstanding. Can't wait to come back!

Two exceptional aspects; staff and the rooms. Staff are very friendly and attentive, not a single complaint. The rooms are spacious and clean with all amenities. The whole hotel is clean and well equipped. The food is good especially the breakfasts. The lunch is good too. The evening buffet is fine, not exceptional. Drinks a little expensive but it’s a hotel so expected. The location is set away from the main towns. However this is good if you want some quiet. There’s a bus that’s easy to get near by. Can be busy though. I’d recommend this place

We had the most gorgeous 10 night stay at Asterion. Has to be said first that the food was all 10/10, delicious with fresh ingredients and expertly cooked. We particularly enjoyed the iced coffees, strawberry margarita and Zion cocktails!! But all were amazing. You can't help but notice the attention to detail throughout the hotel, including all elements of the design and service. Staff were all kind, friendly and helpful. We stayed in the swim up suite and the room/pool/view was incredible. We rented a car via reception, who were very helpful (and the car was very reasonable) and that allowed us to have our perfect balance of relaxing within the hotel and exploring Chania Old Town, and other amazing beaches (Elafonisi, Phalasarna, Gramvousa/Balos (via a boat trip from Kissamos)). We just had the most fantastic week here. I’d read the other reviews before booking and decided it was perfect for us. We tend to laze by the pool so being a little remote was fine, quietish, adult only also a bonus. The resort is tastefully designed, decorated, and the upkeep was flawless but the staff stole the show. Hardworking and great guy Manolis leads a team running like absolute clockwork with a smile from lunch through to dinner service, while Katerina, is the belle of breakfast, greeting everyone with a big “good morning” and the warmest smile every time she sees you. Management must be doing something right as they really care about the customer experience. The food delivered a seriously high standard, giving some great hotels a real run for their money. I’m thrilled to be able to rave about this place, 10/10.

It was our 25th wedding anniversary on May 15th and we had been anticipating our five day holiday at Asterion Suites with gusto. We were not disappointed! I think it important to split this review in to different sections so that you get a true picture of what this place is like, so here goes. Staff - Without exception every member of staff was fantastic and intent on going that extra mile to make our holiday one to remember. The managers, the reception staff, the chefs, the housekeepers, the life guards, the goundspeople, the waiters; all were amazing. Each and every one was friendly and obviously very proud of their hotel. Cleanliness - Second to none. All day the cleaning staff discretely went about their business quietly in the background maintaining the grounds and the buildings to a very high standard. You could have eaten straight of the floor if so inclined. Housekeeping - The rooms were thoroughly serviced every day and occasionally when we returned to the room there was a little treat in the form of fruit, or a bottle of wine waiting for us. The room - our room was spacious with a huge superking bed which was also extremely comfortable. We had two enormous TVs which were smart and able to screen cast with our phones enabling us to watch our Netflix etc, if we so desired. The bathroom had his and her basins, a huge walk in shower and a seperate toilet. Storage was spacious and included shelves, cupboards, closets etc. The little kitchenette had a good supply of quality Esspresso and a mini bar in the fridge, all replensihed every day. The air conditioning was lovely and kept us comfortable at night. Toiletries, hair dryers, sewing kits, dressing gowns, slippers, towels etc were all provided. I probably could have arrived in the clothes I was wearing and had a perfectly comfortable holiday. There was a large balcony facing east which bathed us in the morning sun while sipping our Esspressos. The pool - comfortable loungers of varying types surround the central pool which is crystal clear and at a perfect temperature to complement the hot sun. Adjacent is the bar and drinks, food and snacks can be ordered and charged to your room using the Hotel App. Bathing towels are provided each day and I must admit to spending a huge amount of time enjoying the relaxed poolside atmosphere with my book. Unobtrusive but very pleasant background music is playing quietly, allowing for conversation, reading, snoozing or light foot tapping. The food - We were half board, so breakfast and dinner were included. The option to have lunch instead of dinner was available if required and of course a third meal was available for an additional charge. Breakfast was a relaxed affair with a sumptuous and multi facetted buffet on offer. We generally started with beautifully prepared fruit and thick creamy Greek yogurt, followed by cheeses, breads, meats, all accompanied by freshly squeezed orange juice, ice cold water and coffee.
