This hotel was something of an oasis in Playa del Carmen. The location is great, very convenient to many things. The hotel and its rooms feel like they were decorated by Anthropologie. The garden was delightful, and the breakfast served there was tasty and with wonderful service. Despite anything going on outside, inside the walls of this hotel was calm and peaceful. Everything was clean and well maintained. The bed was somewhat uncomfortable. Overall, the whole place was very charming. They have free parking for three cars, on a first come, first served basis right in front. The hotel itself was somewhat difficult to find as it's next to a store and the entrance is small. Its also worth noting that there is no elevator, so you'll be climbing narrow staircases to get to your room. We were on the fourth floor, which was fine for us, but not be for others.

Çok güzel dekore edilmiş butik bir otel. Maalesef 200 Euro ve 170 usd param çalındı ve bu arkadaşımla kahvaltı yaparken gerçekleşti. Kahvaltı gayet lezzetli ama otel içinde olduğunuzu düşünerek cüzdanınızı yanınıza almadan kahvaltıya gitmeyin.

Our stay at Hotel Semilla was wonderful. The hotel was a perfect retreat in the bustle of Playa Del Carmen. There are many peaceful spots to relax and enjoy a quiet moment. The breakfast experience was lovely and added to our enjoyable stay. We appreciated all the helpful advise given about local attractions and transportation. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to be close to the nightlife but still get some sleep.

Beautiful oasis in the middle of a bustling playa del Carmen. The interiors of this hotel are amazing - everywhere you look there’s more antiques, plants and design features. Incredible breakfast in a dreamy setting. We stayed 3 nights and had a great variation of home cooked breakfasts. Having been in Tulum for 9 nights before our visit, playa del Carmen itself was a different vibe - it is loud but with lots of fun restaurants and bars, there is something for everyone. I would recommend taking earplugs as the location is very central and is noisy at night (we were in a suite at the top of the hotel). The team at La Semilla were so friendly and made our stay very comfortable.

Best location you could ask for in PDC. Right on 5th Ave but the moment you walk in it’s SO quiet and peaceful. Couple minutes walk down a beautiful street to the beach and lots of good food spots nearby. The hotel itself is gorgeous - the garden and breakfast space feels like a jungle and the rooms are beautiful. A full breakfast of fruit, coffee, toast, omelettes is included and the staff are so lovely. This is my favourite hotel I’ve ever stayed in, SO sad to leave x

Very good place, cute and cozy. Nice breakfast, 3 mins by walk from the ocean, a lot of nice cafes around, free bikes provided :) People working here are super friendly, definitely recommend the hotel for a visit :) and we will for sure will come back:)

Amazing place, it's a great place full of amazing people, I'll highly recommend you to come and see this place, its garden is such a piece of art. Green and Colloquial. Fue muy lindo de la casa de mi mamá siempre será para la próxima semana, la comparo.

A well-managed, wonderfully relaxed, beautifully situated, tastefully decorated mini-hotel off the main drag in Carmen del Playa, just a five-minute walk from the beach. This review would be be a perfect five, in fact, if we hadn't been robbed of both cash and debit-card information on the next-to-last day of our trip, likely by a member of the cleaning staff. The management has promised to investigate, but thus far, nothing from them beyond denial. (Believe me, it's physically impossible for our money to have been stolen any other way—local charges were run up on our card when we had left the country; the card was only present in the hotel, etc.) I wish I didn't feel the need to leave this review, but there's been no other help or recourse.

Great hosts and a very comfortable room. Gabriel provided delicious breakfasts in the morning and the terrace made you not want to leave the premises. The rooftop patio made for a great place to relax with a glass of wine in the evening. We will definitely be returning at our next visit to Playa del Carmine.
