Kex Hotel

The first time I lived in the Youth Hostel, his downstairs was a restaurant, which caused him to share the space without a kitchen. It was a pity, but I could ask them for hot water. I lived in a bed of 12 people. When I came, only me and another person were there. So we two lived in a big house, so lucky, The toilet here is also very clean. I slept here for two nights. There is no problem. The parking space nearby is a bit difficult to find. When I get up in the morning, I have coffee, fresh milk and oat milk. The decoration of the whole store is very retro. In the morning, you can go to the restaurant when it is not open.
Lolo Pass
4.3/59 Reviews
I have experienced many hostels in the city center. In particular, the lolopass is distinctly different from the hostel facilities used in the past, and the facilities are clean and designed not to interfere with sleep, so the cabinet and sleeping space are separated. Also, the lobby on the first floor where you can relax is nice and the kitchen is neat. It is the same as the picture introduced on the official Instagram.
Hotel Eastlund, BW Premier Collection

The location of the hotel is quiet and safe, but it is recommended that friends who travel by car choose to drive a short drive away from the city. Parking is very convenient. The decoration is modern and clean, which is very suitable for couples and families traveling by car.
Courtyard Portland Downtown/Convention Center

I stayed here for three nights for a trade show at the convention center. The convention center is a few minute walk from the hotel. I checked in late and informed the hotel in advance that I was checking in late thru the Marriott App. No issue with checkin and gave me a free bottle of water when I arrived at 11pm at night and they have a few shelves of things you can buy from..snacks and drinks Front desk was also helpful in storing my bags as I had the redeye home As a Platinum member I received $10 food credit and used it at the restaurant. Staff was very nice and attentive at the restaurant and only ate there for breakfast and overall good value for the omelets I ordered. Room was a solid Courtyard king with a smart tv so easy to login into my netflix account I would stay again if at a trade show..otherwise no reason to stay in that area. The tram was a few minute walk to take you to airport or Pioneer Square.
Shilo Inn Portland Rose Garden - Convention Center

Breakfast is the least variety I have ever experienced, only square bags, breakfast cereals, milk, yogurt, coffee, tea, no more! As soon as I stepped into the hotel room, the dirty smell of a carpet came out, and the old-fashioned air conditioner was noisy. The floor under the carpet of the room is really too old, and it creaks on the floor and is not flat. Only free parking is more convenient. I don't want to come anymore.
The Society Hotel

I originally booked for two nights but I ended up extended for a total of five nights because I enjoyed the accommodations that much. Lobby, check-in, and cafe downstairs were all beautifully designed and welcoming areas to hang out or study. I loved the fireplace and living space. Wifi was great! Staff: Everyone on staff was wonderful and welcoming; however, Candace and Branson were people I had the most contact with and it was always a good time. From Candace always being available to help me with navigating the neighborhood and hotel to Branson giving me tips on Portland, chatting about life and fulfilling my caffeine needs, I loved getting the chance to know them. They definitely sealed me in for additional days and were a big reason I felt so comfortable throughout my stay. The Rooms: My first two days were in a King suite with a private bathroom. I was in the room deigned by Peter. It was comfortable, quiet despite the locals living it up outside, and roomy. The rest of my stay was in a Queen room with shared bathroom. I was concerned about having to share a bathroom but they are large, extremely clean and have comfortable and convenient amenities. I slept so well in every room I booked. There might be something to this no technology in the bedroom ”myth”. I liked the minimalist approach to hotel stays and appreciate the added luxury feel with the bathrobes. Little things like a robe really elevate the overall experience in hotels. Cons: No formal parking but there is plenty of street parking and much of it is free. Private security in the community keep a good watch on vehicles. A con that is not the hotel's fault is the unfortunate state of Old Town and it's displaced and struggling locals. They didn't bother me when I was outside but it was sad to see other human beings in those conditions. Be safe walking around the area as some can be unpredictable or in distress. Like with any city, especially downtown areas, just be aware of your surroundings. Overall, The Society is on my list of Portland favorites and I will be returning for future visits.
