Hotel Corte Rosada

This hotel is not 4 Stars standard, I stayed in 3 Stars which was better than this. To start off the room is very small, the bed is so hard, they offer 1 skinny pillow, and there are a lot of bugs in the room. The toilet is old old-fashioned, low water pressure in the shower which has mould on the floor, there is a terrible smell coming back from the pipes, and the hairdryer is absolutely waste, never seen anything like it. The hotel doesn’t offer ironing for “safety reason”, but offer an ironing service, as if we will pay for 20kg of luggage to be ironed. The only thing that saves this hotel is the staff, they are very friendly, kind and always so helpful, except a manager during the breakfast that kept giving out to the waitress’ team. The housekeeping was also very good. To finish off, the swimming pool is so so so salty, that I tried to swimming for 10 min and my eyes and mouth were badly affected. The beach on front is ok, but not the best either.

Enjoyed our week here, beautiful setting with its own beach at the end of the green by the pool / bar. Waiting staff are very welcoming and always happy to help. Rooms are spacious and very clean, the lack of an iron or access to one without having to pay is a bit mad, the only way you can iron your clothes is by paying for the laundry service, completely unacceptable for a four star hotel, basic mod-con in a room is an iron. That aside the restaurant is very nice, lovely food but you need to book before you arrive, we got caught short the first night and with the hotel being remote you've no other options unless you're driving, we were told to walk down a pitch black road with no footpath to get to the nearest restaurant. Unacceptable. We insisted on being seated as we hadn't eaten all day and it was 8pm at this stage. There really should be bar food available all day and night as apposed very limited hours at lunch time, as an alternative to the restaurant due to the hotels remoteness.The bar food is so good too, it's a shame it's not accessible for longer. You've literally nothing other then the bar at night if you're not eating in the restaurant. Renting a car is a must, luckily they're super cheap in Sardinia. Loads of activities to do during the day, renting bikes, scuba diving all available at the reception desk. There's a bus brings you directly into Alghero, only a 4/5 min walk from hotel. Costs less then €2. That's very handy if you've no car, takes 20mins. Neptunes cave a short drive away also. There's a newsagent / shop 10mins walk also, convenient for picking up snacks, water, toiletries etc. you'll pass dozens of cats and in our case a boar! All harmless and not to be feared. Would recommend the hotel but just be mindful of the small things like no iron in the room, remoteness. Still worth a visit.

The accommodation is small but very clean and comfortable , the sea water pool is refreshing and again exceptionally clean, the staff are all very friendly and accommodating, the waiter service restaurant and the local cuisine food is exceptional. Would like to mention Achraf in the restaurant who to be honest made every meal a really pleasant experience, thank you. If you’re looking for a relaxing pool holiday then I would definitely recommend the Corte Rosada it’s top class.

This hotel is based in a nice secluded location but is very basic. Rooms are tired and tiny. Breakfast finishes at 10am which is ridiculous and they start cleaning it and removing food at 9.30-9.40am already. One day staff approached me at 9.55am to advise that breakfast is finished and i should be get going! Overall it feels that I am there interrupting their work rather than staff is here to help a resting guest. They constantly move chair and tables , its so loud in that room, very unpleasant, too many staff people walking and talking for no practical reason, I was watching them every day trying to understand why are they there. Breakfast is limited to 2 choices of eggs, 2 choices cheese and ham and tomatoes and cucumbers. Few pasties and fruits. Thats it. Lunch is served until 2.30pm and again staff abruptly told me “kitchen is closed” at 2.20pm refusing to take my order. Very few people speak english. I called to the reception Asking for some simple amenities that room was missing, they told me to come to reception to pick this up…. Somehow there a lot of mosquitos and nothing in the room to protect you from it, I Am Leaving with 35 bites on my body, yes I counted. Beach is tiny and water is not deep so you need to drive to another location yo have a proper swim. None of entertainment was offered unlike other 4 star resorts in Sardinia. Overall not worth the money, you can find nicer places in the island -

This hotel has a beautiful, calm location, where you can switch off from the world and just relax. The staff in the hotel were excellent, very polite, and smiley all but one time. The view over the bay was stunning, and the hotel was close to everything we wanted to do in the area. However, the cons were unfortunately, off putting enough not wanting to return to the hotel, unless major investment heading in to the property. We booked a superior, bay view room, well, room 104 doesn't have a view, nor being in anyway of 4 stars superior. The room was dark, smelly and dated. There was no mosquito net, so it was a sanctuary for the annoying creatures, and previous splatters were very visible on the wall. The bathroom had serious mould on the ceiling, on the shower cubicle and on the shower doors, plus the toilet had a very pungent smell. The bed was not comfortable, and the mattress was dented so badly that I didn't have one good night sleep at all. Originally was only one pillow per person, and went to ask for more when returned from dinner, but been told by reception that housekeeping was finished for the day and we could get it for the next day. Now, when you pay €265 / night, and you get an answer like this, you begin to question the value. ( we did get the pillows the next day ) Lastly, food and beverage; when we arrived, straightaway we had been told, the dinner was fully booked for the day. Which isn't an issue if it was a city centre location, but it wasn't the case. We got dinner the next day, and it was fine dining, however in this occasion, the portion size was really tiny! And even so we've had 2 courses and dessert, we still felt hungry. Breakfast was OK, nothing extra, nothing bad. The bar service was spot on though. Overall I cant say that we will be back, unless there massive investment going into the rooms.

We stayed one night at this hotel, the room was full of mosquitoes, traces of blood on the ceiling (from guests killing armies of mosquitoes before us), no mosquitoes nets at the windows so we couldn’t leave it open. The bathroom was a bit dirty with black joint in the shower, hairdryer broken. The beach is very average especially for an hotel that makes you pay a supplement for sun bed. We asked for an additional pillow at 10pm before going to bed and the answer was that it could only be brought the next morning … as no one could bring it to us at this hour. For a 4 star hotel, very disappointing.

Revisiting for the second time and it did not disappoint. Fantastic location for a very relaxing holiday. Hotel and staff are superb, could not be more helpful. Room was spotless and had all the facilities you could need.

Beautiful and peaceful hotel. Staff very helpful and professional. Room was comfortable, with a nice balcony and had a well-working A/C. The sea was stony and had lots of corals and there wasn’t really much space to swim but there is a sea water pool available which was great. Generally service was amazing. The dining and breakfast hall have beautiful views. We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back!
