Landhotel Potsdam
4.1/51 Reviews
The Landhotel has allegedly 4 stars. I am a lot on the way and I have really stayed in much more pleasant 4 stars hotels in Germany. The reception or even the greeting could have been a little more friendly. I was very happy to get to the hotel. That was good intention with the tea and I accepted it thankful. However, I had not ordered it myself and quickly, then they wanted to write the tea to me on the bill. I think he was discussed again later by the staff and he was not calculated. Thanks for the tea. However, I had to pay my room immediately. I don't know that at all. Unfortunately, I did not get any instructions for the hotel at the reception. The room on the 2nd floor with lift. Card for room after multiple times out and in, has then been opened. In bed 160x200 unfortunately only 1 kit and 1 narrow deck. In the bathroom, scary old almost already transparent, thin towels. A medium shower towel, another small normal towel .............das was! This is an absolute NOGO for a 4-star hotel. Also no safe, no minibar, no tea and coffee makers......nothing. Not even a water to greet. It is normal standard in every hotel. There was a sauna, but as guest you had to pay for it. Bademantel costs 10 euros. Here it's only cancelled. After reading the bad reviews later, I also liked to wait for breakfast. When I left, no one asked if I had sleeped well. Concluded: best a 3-star hotel and then please bring your own towels.
Maxx by Steigenberger Sanssouci Potsdam

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in late September, ‘22. Historic Potsdam is a very pleasant city that we wanted to explore more than a quick day trip from Berlin would allow. The Maxx was a very comfortable and convenient place to stay. It is an easy walk to Sanssouci Palace, longer to Neus Palace. It is near restaurants and shops (we liked the Alter Stadwacher restaurant), and has an attractive setting near the Brandenburg Gate square. There is a tram line just a block away. If you have a car, as we did, there is garage parking below the hotel. The Maxx is an efficiently managed modern hotel designed to offer maximum convenience and comfort for a reasonable price. The large lobby area has a welcoming bar and a restaurant where breakfast and other meals are served. We didn’t opt for the breakfast buffet, so we can’t evaluate it). The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Our room (317) was large, with modern stylish decor, a comfortable king bed, two night stands (1 with outlets), a desk, an armchair with floorlamp, and a large balcony with a mediocre view over adjacent buildings. The bedroom area was connected to the toilet room on one side and the bath/vanity on the other, with a closet and a minibar with coffee maker integrated into the hallway, an interesting design. The bathroom had a nice shower and adequate counter space, Wifi in the room was strong and fast. No a.c. and the heat is from a hot water radiator. We were somewhat cool the first night, but comfortable the second. All in all, the Maxx Sanssouci is a very comfortable and convenient place to stay for a few days in Potsdam and we recommend it.

Due to COVID-19 situation is off course different and not as usual, despite this reception was very kind and helpful. I had pre-booked table for the restaurant, but it appeared to be closed when I arrived. This one should have told in advance, I especially looked for hotel with restaurant ! Breakfast offer was limited due to COVID-19, but acceptable. I did not get all advantages because of my seniority with Accor. Nothing negative to say about room and/or bed. Parking spaces for cars is limited, they did find a solution for me, but it is to small

We had a large room with large bathroom, fully fit for wheelchair drivers. We don't brew, but well know. Parking in front of the door and in the deep garage is positively noted, other hotels take extra money for a parking. From the price there is absolutely nothing to make, you get a proper countervail. The restaurant is relatively overviewable, the food card is also, but that is completely enough- Interesting the great choice of drinks, the cocktails and long drinks are very priced! There are no culinary elevations, but you don't expect that for the price. At breakfast buffet at 9.00, the fruit was all, you could have surely filled up. But besides us there was only 1 guest. It will certainly be better if the tourism comes back full of drive. Conclude: Thanks for returning.
Hotel Brandenburger Tor Potsdam

Innenstadt
We stayed two nights. The hotel is situated in a historic building next to the Brandenburger Tor in Potsdam and close to the pedestrian area. The structure dates back to 1736 and the hotel opened in 2010 after an extensive restoration. The location is very good, close to the pedestrian area and excellent public transport. The hotel has a few parking places in the courtyard, but most guests have to park in the public garage at Luisenplatz. As the hotel is an old structure with a number of extensions, access to some of the rooms is a pretty long walk. Although lifts have been installed, many guests still have to overcome some rather narrow and steep stairs. So getting things in and out was not easy and no help was offered. Our room was clean and quiet. It was spacious and with most of the amenities you would expect, such as comfortable beds and a safe, but no coffee machine. The bathroom was new and very good. Breakfast was good without being excellent, and restocking of some items a bit slow.
