Hotel acolhedor, staff mt simpático, sempre prestável e atencioso. Quarto agradável e limpinho. Spa afável (é pequeno mas como funciona com marcações estava adequado ao número de pessoas presente), o único senão foi msm a temperatura (estava demasiado quente). P.s. não fornecem gratuitamente roupão, chinelos e toalhas, o que normalmente acontece num hotel de 4*. Jantar mt bom, com condições para famílias com filhos (como é o nosso caso), atendimento mt prestável, atenderam a todos os pedidos, prato principal (no caso bacalhau com broa) mt saboroso e bastante apelativo. Sobremesa igualmente boa (folhado de leite creme). Recomendo vivamente. Pequeno almoço com bastante variedade, desde doces a salgados, vários tipos de pão, vários tipos de sumos, compotas, iogurtes, cereais, bastante bom na verdade. Novamente saliento a simpatia do staff, desde a receção, bar, restaurante e demais. Na realidade só não dou 5* porque o quarto no qual ficamos hospedados não tinha varanda e valorizo bastante esse aspecto. Se assim não fosse daria 5* com toda a certeza. Para a próxima que cá vier terei esse aspecto em atenção aquando da reserva. É um até já.

I’m very happy with my experience at Douro Palace Hotel. The hotel features a very nice spa where you can unwind and relax after a day of exploration. The facilities were clean, and the pool, sauna, and steam room offered a relaxing touch. The spa's ambiance contributed to a peaceful time. The restaurant's decor, inspired by Portuguese themes, complemented the overall a**osphere. The view of Douro River and vineyards from the balcony was breathtaking. If you're into comfort and relaxation with scenic natural views, this is the place to be.

lovely views except that my room was directly across from elevator, had a view of a huge electricity tower just outside the window, had a loudly beeping non working phone and reception staff who didn't care and had zero interest in fixing or replacing it. then a couple with a baby and loudly yapping dog were placed next to my room. the dog started to yap at 6 40 am, the couple apparently continued to sleep, and i had to leave my room and find a quiet place in a very small space. would NOT book here again. the good things are the small pool, which is kept clean, the views so long as you are not in Rooms 9 or 10, and the restaurant, which serves adequate if limited dinner meals. And Daniella is a wonderful staffer and deserves to be part of a more professional and more helpful team.

The hotel is very well located and has stunning views from the terraces. Our room was street side but quiet. The half board program was excellent. Dinner included couvert, wine, salad or soup, main and dessert. Excellent! Breakfast was typical but everything was fresh and plenty to choose from. We did not need air conditioning and were fine with the window ajar. The Wi-Fi was the only drawback as it tended to be spotty.

Very good stay, recommendable, pity the current situation we are in, we cannot enjoy everything that we are allowed in a normal situation. From the Hotel nothing to point out, excellent staff, dinner, good diversified breakfast. Hygiene under the circumstances seemed good to me! A small alert to those who wish to purchase services with TRIP.COM They are excellent to sell, but then to assist the buyer only and simply they do not answer or respond more concretely, they do not exist! We enjoyed our time at this hotel but advise that its best suited to travellers who have a car. Its not very close to anything else so requires a walk or drive into the next town of Regua, on the opposite river bank and over a bridge. If you're having the hotel breakfast or dinner its less of a problem. Rooms have good views of the river, Regua and vineyards. They aren't amazing, or large but are modern, clean and have the amenities most travellers require. The hotel has a relaxed vibe and staff are friendly and helpful. There's a terrace with lounges on the level where the outdoor spa, indoor pool and sauna are located. (swimming caps for the pool are mandatory and can be purchased) , which all makes for a pleasant afternoon relaxing after wine tasting or cruising the Douro river. Staff happily deliver drinks to the spa and terrace. We ate dinner once at the restaurant and enjoyed it very much. On our second night we even returned to have the chocolate desert again! Breakfast was good too. The restaurant has a spacious terrace with river views which makes it a pleasure to sit outdoors there. The parking garage, however, is a challenge, and most guests park on the street. Overall, we had a great time here.

It was absolutely amazing stay that we had in Douro valley thanks to the Douro Royal valley Hotel&Spa, especially because our trip took place when it was mostly raining… luckily, me and my husband were able to use that time properly in the hotel’s spa, having massage, enjoying the time in the swimming pool, spending some time in sauna and even at the gym. Thanks to hotel’s facilities the trip was not a waste of time, we could rest actively, we also enjoyed very much the overall ambience of the hotel and taking care of the personell so that overall the hotel is a calm place to stay at. What caught us by surprise was absolutely stunning dinner- each out of 6 courses we had was prepared and served with such a mastery that we thought we are at the resturant with micheline star chef- chapeau bas to the Chef - your courses are absolute masterpiece and the best of the best we tried on our 2-week trip in Portugal. It is a hotel with (rar) Excellence location in the Douro, where all rooms have a fabulous view of the Douro river that is just a few (short) meters away, transmitting an inspired tranquil landscape. The attitude, availability and gestures, always with a simple and easy smile of the hotel staff in any request requested to them, add decisively the will to return to where they treat us so well. It also adds a very reasonable and appropriate price vs quality, without the ”exaggerations” that are practiced in other hotels in this region and which are not reflected in the stay and services provided. Yes.

The hotel is a 5* hotel quality. From comfort, food, cleaning and service. This is especially for the children of the reception and service in the pool. Super good water and the comfort that is located in the hotel is to be grateful.
