B&B HOTEL Frankfurt-Hahn Airport
3.6/58 Reviews
The Hann airport is bad and sad and it is not good to stay outdoor and cold at night. If you need to sleep one night before you start very soon this is a good solution. It's not so bad that we had booked, given the exceptional situation we found in late February(snow that blocked the motorway, dropped flights etc...) . The check-in was made with the booking, given the late time we arrived. The room at the fifth floor was cold and it took a eternity to warm it .... For the rest functional. The only way to eat something is the McDonald's stick at the airport and perhaps a German bakery inside it.

We only stayed for one night after a long 11 hour flight into Franfurt Main. Our flight the next day was from Hahn at 06:25 and we just needed a good sleep. This hotel was perfect, just a few.mijutes from the airport, decent sized room, really comfortable beds, good linen, a TV with SKY satellite channels and a nice bathroom. Food in the restaurant looked amazing but we were too tired and too late to eat anything.
Haus Waldesruh
4.2/57 Reviews
I had to spend a night in Hunsrück with a colleague. The house of Waldesruh surprised us very much. Not only that we were welcomed super friendly, the freshly renovated room and the generally renovated house made an extremely friendly impression. The mattresses were top! Not read and beautiful hard. Perfect for a relaxing night. The breakfast then top everything! We didn't expect a large breakfast due to the current situation. But the housewife showed that she was trying to make us the short stay well. The house is not particularly quiet because of the slightly more calm location in Hollnich and the old building at first sight. But the housemaster and the freshly renovated interior of the house then surprise extremely positive. Here I will certainly come back privately when it is to leave the times again. A compliment for this service in difficult times for gastronomists.
Airport-Hotel Fortuna

The staff here are the kindest and loveliest we’ve ever come across. We had a few issues and had to book this last minute, we arrived at midnight and checked in with the lovely receptionist. He was funny and kind and cheered us up after a hard day. We mentioned we hadn’t had dinner, and he offered to open the kitchen and cook us pizzas( this was after midnight). The food was lovely and all the amenities were as well. Rooms were lovely and warm and we both slept so well. We woke up to a beautiful snowy morning and had a wide selection for breakfast. Every staff member we met was so lovely. And the airport shuttle is so quick and useful. If we are ever here again there is no doubt we would come here again.
Hotel Münster

Full disclosure, I didn't stay here, so I cannot speak to the quality of the hotel itself. Therefore, my rating is based on their customer service as I experienced it. I booked three nights here through Booking.com, just a few days beforehand. The listing made it seem that 1) I could make a free reservation and cancel if needed, and 2) I would not pay until arrival. Unfortunately, my wife's grandfather took ill, the trip was off, and I cancelled the reservation WITHIN 1 hour. I then discovered that I had been charged the full price of a 3 night stay there with breakfast included. When I contacted the hotel to ask for a refund, I was very brusquely told that there was no mistake, and if I had read the fine print, I would have noticed the condition that cancellation within 7 days means NO REFUND whatsoever. Again, I made this reservation, cancelled it within an hour and lost €264. When I engaged Booking.com customer service, they tried to help mediate with Hotel Munster twice via phone and email, but to no avail. The hotel refused to give even a partial refund, a voucher, or allow me to move the reservation to another date, which I was willing to do. In their direct messages to me, the staff were quite rude and aggressive even, insisting I was to blame, and they could do nothing. This is the opposite of hospitality, and I would never consider staying here again. These are bad business practices by any measure. Caveat emptor.
