Blue Sea Island

Me and my partner and who we travelled with had an amazing time the facility it clean welcoming and the food is amazing ....(not the place for a great English breakfast for my fellow brits) ...but amazing none the less. We will be returning in October hopefully and I cant wait to fall asleep on the beach sunbeds again holding a pina colada :))

HI, I stayed at Blue Sea Island, from 11th May till 18th May 2024. I have a Visual Impairment, I found the complex very accessible, with plenty of ramps and hand rails near the steps around the complex. All the staff we're very helpful all the time, when I went for breakfast, I was very well looked after, by staff in restaurant every morning, which made my stay really nice. My room was very nice, plenty of room, the food was great. The private beach was very accessible too, with there being a ramp to use, at both ends of the bar, and plenty of loungers to use. I have just returned from a 5 night stay at the hotel and it was brilliant. I am disabled and a wheelchair user so was a bit nervous about this stay but I am so pleased with all of the facilities from start to finish. On entering the hotel it just looks lovely, so clean, big and stunning. There is a ramp on the left of the steps so I could easily access the main building and reception area. There is lift access to all floors. We booked an accessible room which was on the 3rd floor, access was perfect. A slight step onto the balcony but this was easy to bump down and up to access; we had a land view but it was stunning as you get to see the sunset over kolympia rock in the evening! Bed was very comfortable. We loved that there was a fridge and we were given big bottles of water for free. The rooms are very clean, but during the day the cleaning staff don’t clean your room until later in the day sometimes so if you need a clean I’d say it’s best to ask reception to make sure it gets done. We were shocked with how many pools there were. In the back building there are facilities for family and children. And in the main building there are 2 main large pools and then some private pools;these pools can be cold. The inside pool and jacuzzi are in the spa area. We visited the spa on one of the last days of our trip and it was a perfect relaxing end to the holiday. My trea**ent was done by Anastasia and I had the scalp and back massage. It was very relaxing and just what I wanted. The trea**ent room is beautiful, smells great, and has a great feel to it. I was offered lots of help and brought a tea straight after my trea**ent. If you are in a wheelchair but bear in mind the trea**ent room door ways are a little narrow and the bed is a little high. There is step free access to the beach. The ramp leading down to the beach bar area is steep but the hotel staff were great and said if we needed picking up in a car and bringing up the hill then they would do that for us! There are wooden slates that lead all the way down to the sand/beach meaning that I could get to the loungers which was fab! The bar down at the beach is great during the day and evening, was one of our fave spots. The food in that area was our fave as the pizza and crepes were amazing! The buffet meals were good, I’m vegetarian so there were many choices for me. Good options for kids like chicken and pasta. George and Niko in particular made our dining experiences so special and they’re so kind and helpful!! The location of this hotel was great as you’re on the beach, there are areas around the hotel to explore like restaurants and the harbour. It is a 25-30min taxi to the airport. It is a 40min taxi to Rhodes old town for €44 but it is a lovely drive. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel but we never used the bus. Would definitely recommend staying 5 nights here like we did as there is plenty to keep you entertained and happy in the daytime and evening. Great for friends and f

It was a very nice experience, the room was very calming and The Massage felt nice. I really einyojed it. Dimitris did my massage and it was nice and the perfect pressure. I would recommend this massage experience. The service is nice and the stuff is very kind

I don’t want to discourage anyone for staying at this hotel, because on the surface the hotel is amazing , however… Upon arrival we were greeted by unfriendly, rude staff who told us that there was ‘an error in the system’ and we will be moved to another hotel for 2 nights until our room was ready and given 15 minutes to got the bar and get some food and a drink before it was closed for the night, we were told we were going to a hotel called ‘blue sea village’ but were taken to ‘blue sea beach resort’ instead and told the hotel would arrange transport and we would be picked up at 12pm on the friday afternoon. We were fortunate enough to be picked up on time and taken back to blue sea island only to find out our room, along with another couple and a man here for work, wasn’t ready and they didn’t know when we would be able to check in properly , we were free to get some food if we wished but had to leave our suitcases in the open as there wasn’t enough room for our cases. The reception staff were useless in giving us any reassurance and upon complaining we were offered a bigger room with a ‘land view’ which turned out to be a balcony overlooking the other rooms in our block and a roof with a dead plant on it, the ‘land’ promised was the peak of a mountain just slightly poking out of the top. We were also offered a late check out even though they knew we had a pickup on our last day at 8:30 in the morning. I’m aware this issue won’t happen to everyone and I don’t want to stop people going as the hotel itself is lovely. All of the food and drinks were up to a brilliant standard , the entertainment was silly and fun and the views from the pool and the bars were stunning , it’s honestly such a shame to let such a wonderful location be let down by staff that don’t know how to manage their own bookings. We enjoyed our stay after the nigh**are we had checking in but we won’t be returning

Would 100% recommend trying one of the trea**ents if you are staying at the hotel.

Such a shame as a this hotel has so much potential.. We have just returned and although we generally had a nice time this was more because we left the hotel a lot! If you are a couple looking for somewhere with a bit of a**osphere this is not the place for you ! I don’t think I’ve ever been on a holiday and sat on my balcony so much in the evenings purely because there was absolutely nothing going on other then a kids mini disco or a quiz night. Hotel in its self is modern and the rooms were fine, lunch was great at the beach bar but dinner time at the Buffet was like a cattle market. Staff we had interaction with were all nice and there are some lovely views from the hotel. Sewage smell around the hotel often. Also an issue with over booking which thankfully didn’t affect us but we spoke to so many people who got shipped off elsewhere. It was average at best. Not much going on around the resort either, oasis bar is about ten minutes from the hotel which did lovely cocktails.

Enjoyed this experience where relaxation was the order of the day and the staff were great. Special mention goes to Angelina who cooked the breakfast eggs and Marina who was a waitress. Their service was exemplary although the rest of the staff were excellent as well. Lovely rooms, very clean, great food, if you cant find anything to eat you would have to be very fussy. The only downside we found was insufficient seating for all guests in the reception. If there are other seating areas we did not find them.

Best holiday ever ❤. Very comfy room(pool floor) with nice view on the pool. Easy access to pool bar and stunning restaurant. Very big choice of food and very good food. Beautiful view from pool on the beach bar and sea. Pool always was tidy, easy access to aqua park in second building. Beach was real beauty little bit stony better go with water shoes. Comfy sun beds and nice umbrellas. Nice choice of food in Beach Buffet the best pizza ever, crepes and waffles. Nice extras A la Carte Restsuront. The best thing in Blue Sea Island Resort was stuff of this brilliant hotel. We wore threatened as a family. Big thanks to: Maria beach food court and A la Carte de Resturante ❤, Maria creeps and waffles maker (kalimera) , Anna lifeguard, Yannis Vasilis and Eleni beach bar Lindsa, Costas and Capitan pool bar , Sotiria aqua park bar,Reception stuff and lobby bartender, Chief of the kitchen and whole stuff of restaurant, Beacon Boy and Omelette Girl , and to all management.
