Hotel Planas

Great location. Hotel is generally noisy can hear people in above rooms and corridors . No friendly welcome from reception staff- at all , never spoke No one ever spoke at breakfast which was always cold and uninviting. I found the hotel had a strange aroma in the reception area not sure if it was a drainage issue . We had a late flight home was no option to place our bags anywhere to pick up later . We were on the first floor in a renovated room was spacious so ample room for a decent bed we had 2 single narrow hard beds . We were on the road side and was a bit noisy but expected due to location. I felt like the staff were not bothered if we were there or not. The most helpful person was an Irish lady who was able to give us some information about the airport bus . Will go back to salou but not to that hotel

Some rooms were spacious and modern and so we're compact and tired. Some staff were happy to help and others looked like they didn't want to be there. Bring a pool towel as there are none available at the Hotel. Breakfast was pretty poor and if you need the lift, good luck. A lift that holds 4-5 people serves the whole hotel. All in all. A decent enough bolt hole for a weekend but definitely not a place where I'd consider for a full holiday. Surrounding shops and amenities are pretty good, especially bars and restaurants but beware of the Supermarkets on the seafront as they tend to charge almost double than the local Michaelangelo supermarket, which can also be found on the seafront. I would definitely return to Salou but not to this particular hotel.

We recently stayed at hotel planas for 3 nights. Good location only a short walk to the beach and shops etc. Arrived at 12pm and we were able to check in straight away which was good, easy enough process. First impressions were clean and well maintained reception. We were on the first floor on the corner by the street, the noise was awful at night and kept us awake. Staff were mostly non friendly and never smiled or spoke apart from the chamber maids and Christine on reception the lady from Ireland who was very friendly and helpful. The staff need a few lessons in customer service I feel. Room was clean and spacious although sound proofing non existent. Breakfast was very basic and very little selection. The restaurant were amongst the most miserable of the lot, surly faces and no one came to you and spoke even to ask for room number etc. Overall all reasonable stay but a few points to note: No towels available to use by the pool so take your own. There is a shower to use before you fly but no towels available so take one from your room. Sunbed supply limited with a few parasols. Ask for a room away from the corner next to the road as its very noisy until the early hours of the morning. Expect a no frills hotel, I guess you get what you pay for.

Our first visit back since 2016, this hotel is perfect for us, really close to the beach and the old town. We arrived around 11am and, to our surprise, our room was ready and we were checked in quickly. There is a small tax, around 9EURO each I think, and we were charged 18EURO to hire the safe for a week. The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable, the shower had good water pressure and was nice and hot. This year we were in room 213 which had lovely seaviews and a wraparound balcony. The pool is gorgeous and mostly quiet, so you can always get a sunbed. We stayed on a B&B basis and breakfasts were OK, enough choice to set you up for the day. There are cereals, pastries, cakes, toast, yoghurt, cold meats and fruit, there was a hot selection with sausages, bacon (which looked like processed fried ham) and a different egg option each day. Apart from Saturday night when the street outside was really noisy until about 3am, we slept well. There is now a small gym and a wellness centre just off of the reception, plus a tapas restaurant which seemed very popular. We would like to say a big thank you to Christine on reception, who is so friendly and always ready to offer help and advice or just have a chat. We are already looking forward to booking for next year.

We where stay there just last week for 3 nights.That was one of the best staying after long time.Very nice hotel newly modern renovated nice receptionists never ask for name sadly.Breakfest basic but there was everything what we need.Price was very reasonable for this comfy hotel.Aircondition in the room was very quiet during night.Very close to both beaches, restaurants ,shops.Definitely come back!!
